The sig looks like your avatar, only stretched out and flattened a bit. It may help to make a sig, because you need resolution. If you realy like the background of the avatar, you could tile it across the width of your sig, but that may be a bit cheesy :wink: BTW: If you need a sig, I can always make/sell you one!

Thanks for the pointers! No one seemed to post anything about it in my last thread about them. Next time I'm on Terragen, I'll see what it does for me. I was unaware that there was a rule against saying professional, but I see the reasoning for it now. I think that this topic really should be closed and/or erased, and User should start a new one, mearly saying he has opened a free sig shop or something. Also, I'd like to apologize for anything I may have said that may have offended you, or wasn't done tactfully. I see that one's idea of professional can be quite different than anothers. I'd like to offer some help if I may, constructive help. Once again, I am sorry for anything that may have come across wrong, or not nicely.

That is laughable! That is a terrible sig, and although I don't have a whloe lot of room to talk, I think that is the lowest of the low. You seem to have no sense of colours because the text seems almost to fade into the background. It doesn't stand out at all, and thus is hard to read. Not to mention that the terrible font adds to that. Background is horrible as well. You talk about using all these custom programs, and ones that no ones heard of, but why not stick with something that works, and ones that a mindless moron can use and produce a decent sig. These custom progs are doing nothing to help you. You have photoshop, why not use it effectively? I think that you should go way back to the first tutorial you read (probably not far back at all, maybe a day or so :roll:) and start again, with just photoshop, and no messing around with these terrible other programs. BTW: What would the name of the programs be? And why use them if they make things that look like that? EDIT: Unnecessary remark. Trying to keep this within some bounds. Sorry "User."

Well, I tried the free sig shop, but I got absolutely no interest. But now I have learned quite a bit about what is good and what isn't so I decided to try my hand at selling one. And thanks for the compliment :)

Well, I need money now, so I am going to sell my first sig. This is my latest abstract, and after people seemed to like the one I gave for free, I decided to sell one. Here it is: I dunno what it's worth, so please make an offer if you want it. I'll take items as well, so don't worry if you ain't got money. If you win, please PM me with your name and quote, clan, or best stat so I can put them on the sig. After payment, PM will be sent with the sig in it, and the "sample" will be removed. Well, the render was a C4D thing. I made a big one, and am now using parts of it. Easiest way, but it still looks very different each time. The rest was done in the GIMP. I did all the "tech" kind things (bottom) by hand, as with the outlines of the text. The lense flare and the new "thing" are all filters built in. I've also corrected the "thing" as best I can. Tell me what you think!

I just saw them, and, it can't be put into words how bad I think that they are. If I were you, I'd read a lot more tutorials. People may say, Ooooh, you just pulled that from a tutorial." But at least it will look half decent. Unlike that... uhhhhh thats now just wasting space on someone's server. That's as aggravated as I am willing to get over this... disgrace to all artists. THINK OF THE PLUMBERS!

Just had a thought on the 3D model. Was it a screenshot or something similar (preview render), or was it the full rendered one? It would explain a lot about the quality. Another question, why would you release a terrible preview instead of the best you could do without releasing the model? Anyway, I look forward to seeing these other examples, as the ones I've seen are lacking very seriously. Something that you can't just explain away with JPEG quality loss... :roll:

If you're gonna sell sigs on this board, make them compliant with the sig rules. Only one of those sigs works (as far as I can tell, please correct if wrong) on this forum, and that one already has 2 other topics saying it is forsale (#5). It would make sense to sell signatures that work with the forum where you are selling them. Is it just me!?!?! Oh, wait. Two other people have already said it. BTW: When people buy a sig, usually they are looking for a finished one, not one that they are going to have to resize or crop. Just a little hint... No offense or anything.

5 and 8 are my absolute favourites, but their all really good. 5 and 8 seem to have that MaxPayne kinda look to them, and I really love those games. Very nice work.
