  1. I mean pixel avatar.
  2. What you think of that one?
  3. There's one without the grid.
  4. Any suggestions about making it less simple?
  5. Hey, I'd love an avatar. I'd like one that looks like me mining. A pixel version of this (maybe not having the pick above my head, and with a bit of blood on the end. Here's a pic of me:
  6. What you mean FIYA? What does that mean? Thanks for the comments, and I'll work on finding something else to put inplace of the grid. If there isn't a grid on it, it looks a lot more plain.
  7. Tell me what you think!
  8. If you wanna join mine, do it under the Apply Here section of http://rsgraphicsguild.proboards27.com/
  9. It might be a little easier for you to get what you want if you told people what it actually is that you want. I'd be more than happly to make a sig for you, but what do you want?
  10. Well, it might not be the best decision I have made, but because no one else seems to want to give it another go, I have. If you want to see it, or even apply, go to http://rsgraphicsguild.proboards27.com/ Follow the rules, and there should be no problems with it. I'm looking for moderators and G-Mods, so we'll see when you apply (just put in the post that you want to apply to be a mod/gmod. Be advised, it isn't an easy task). Once again, it's http://rsgraphicsguild.proboards27.com/ For those who don't like it, don't apply. If you want to, then great.
  11. Just have to say, another water gone wrong, very very wrong!! Seriously, transparency isn't that great (should be obvious...).
  12. The twirly ones look like a water mimicking tutorial gone horribly wrong, lol. And the polar coordinates ones, terrible dude (sry, but...). I suggest messing around in something like edge detect and motion blurs and cubisms and mosaics and others, and don't just apply one filter, try many combinations of them and run with that. BTW: I'm going into tenth grade in a week or so!
  13. I think it could be a good idea, if you think of it more as a clan almost. Some clans have prerequisites like Combat 60+, well, you have to have people who enter either as abstract artists or pixel artists, or ... whatever else. Then you have a admin who approves or denies the entries. Once someone is approved, they get access to everything. If they get denied, they get access to a "Help Board," where approved members help them out to finally get accepted. An example for an opening guild contest could be to design the tag for people's sigs. Why stop this at only accepting (or offering it to) TIP media guys, why not take it elsewhere. Post a "Recruitment Notice" on the official RS boards, and any other? There could be a big sig shop, where all the approved artists post their work on a topic (or board or whatever) devoted to selling their type of art (a Pixel shop, and Abstract shop, and Other shop...). This has a good chance to take off and be really cool, if it's done right, and the applicants are scrutinously (sp?) chosen. If I may, I'd like to apply!
  14. I can't plug it enough, but if you can't afford Photoshop or anything else, go to http://www.gimp.org!!! It's even listed in the imaging list on the top of the page. Come on. There is no excuse for having only MSPaint anymore. Mac, Windows, and Linux are supported, as are many more. All my sigs are made with GIMP. And I think that the desert one could use a lot of work on the texturing of the landscape. Try making it bumpier, or having the earth underneath the sand, and change the distribution.
  15. This pixel thing is way too overrated. Only a few artists (the afore mentioned) have the skills needed to make it look how it should. If the reason you are making pixel sigs is 'cause you can't afford Photoshop, then go to http://www.gimp.org and download that. It is better than Photoshop in many aspects and is opensource. BTW: Why would you use paint of all things?? The editor on my cellphone is better than paint. Go get something better and free. Try versiontracker.com for it.
  16. I guess I'll give it a shot.
  17. Dude, you've seen one of his works, you can't make a judgement based on that. With the progs he's using, he seems very professional (unless they were downloaded...). You don't buy that stuff to be an amateur. I'd like to see some more work. :) I do agree with what has been shown already though. It isn't great, but it is nearly what the guys asked for (besides the flashing text). 3/10
  18. Or get the GIMP :) Freeware available from http://www.gimp.org - Is just as capable as Photoshop, and depending on how you look at it, way better.
  19. Oh yeah, that was where I started out doing graphics and stuff, until my trial of Photoshop ran out. So I started using the GIMP. Here's the opacity-modified one: - Opacity reduced by 31%. What do you think?
  20. OK, well they are now free. Also with the second one, I tried that with the grid, but I guess I didn't apply it right (used a mask and a gradient on the grid). I'll fix that up.
  21. Now, now. I get it that it isn't great, and that I need to do some more. But the more people that tell me that it is bad, the more I see who likes it and who doesn't. Almost like a poll. Well, as per suggestions, I havewill be leaving up the best coloured version (of that design) and will put another design up. Comment away! BTW, It isn't really helpful people just saying I don't like it, or I won't buy it, but it does help if you tell me why. If you don't want to see more stuff you don't like, this would help.
  22. It's hard to say what my reasons were. Some people like something in one colour, and someone else doesn't in that colour. Then the second someone sees the same thing in a different colour and loves it. Get it? Also, that is only my first design, as I said, I'm working on many more.
  23. Yeah, it is one design, with the colours changed. Thats to see if someone prefers one colour over the other, but as I said, I can change the colours at will. I also have a few more designs in mind that will be added soon. The colours are there to see if people see it better in a different colour. I hope someone likes them :)
