  1. Have you not read what people have posted around here? It's not about what it took you to do it, it's about how it looks in the end. Some people think Picasso's are beautiful, when they are brightly coloured, misshapen people in reality. Comment on what it looks like (colour choice, orientation...), not what it took to do it. Also didyou not read offer?
  2. Adobe has recently released Photoshop Elements 3.0 for Mac and PC. It is described as a hobbyist version of CS, and it's only a hundred dollars. I'd go for that if you aren't looking for illegal copy, or just go to Limewire and download. Hope this helps! (I have the full version, so I can't comment on Elements, but I hear it is quite good and full of features).
  3. Interested, PM me. Base price is 100k, but open to reasonable offers. Items (nats, bars, leather, arrows) are also accepted. Thanks! C&C Welcome too.
  4. I guess I'll have a go. Gotta see how Blender handles multiple texture layers first... Sunday huh? I'm in.
  5. And sometimes I feel the need to pass what I've eaten (every 20 hours or so, I'm a regular guy). But because it came out, doesn't mean I smear it onto MS paint and put it online for all to rate. Is it just me (well I know it isn't), or are you getting sick of this feces?
  6. This is going to be pretty much a simple shop. You can buy premades at 100k each, and have a request made for 200k. Requests are subject to my thinking whether I can do it or not. Very easy, post here or PM me to arrange payment, and your signature will be emailed to you (obviously you'll need to give me an address). Premades: 100k each 1. 2. 3. 4. Colours are changeable (just ask). Custom Sigs: 200k I think I can do most of these: [*:1ucfzh8s]Abstract [*:1ucfzh8s]Terrain [*:1ucfzh8s]3D [*:1ucfzh8s]Limited Photomanipulation [*:1ucfzh8s]Grunge (example below) Simply describe what kind you want, text and anything else (animation not possible yet), and I'll get on with it. So, if your buying, post here, if you aren't, post your comments. If you are buying post here then send me a PM. Grunge Example:
  7. http://www.deviantart.com/view/11484691/ - WARNING: 1024x768 Check it out, and comment. I've made a sig version too: - which is available if interested. It took a while to make it look good, and as I've said before, I won't (from now on) post my work that I don't think looks good myself. C/C Welcome. Suggestions for improvement also very welcome.
  8. Keiphus ------------- That post wasn't directed at you, but I'm glad you know that. The inference, if you read it, was directed at Azvareth (sp). My main point is, correlating the legality and the usage, that you don't buy (something he didn't, but still hasn't explained how) a program like 3DSMAX or Maya or Lightwave or C4D to do simple abstracts. If you're going to make a bad abstract, use something like Blender where you don't waste any money (although he specifically didn't) on making something bad. Also, my little blue sig is my personal taste, as is your hippy-style rainbow-coloured "rubbish". Before you say that this abstract is his personal taste, he put his up for comments and criticism, mine is in another thread. Back up why you think mine is "rubbish". BTW: I hate hippies, and pink and purple and yellow are not my thing. Also, how do you have the right to shut anyone up? Opinions are held by anyone who wants to hold them, and can be expressed however (within forum rules obviously) people want to express them. You can't just say shut up because the person may not have made anything comprable to the one he's criticizing. I have stopped making abstracts publicly because I realize that I'm not good at it. When I deem my own work good enough, you'll all see it. Until then I still reserve the right that you can't take away from me to openly criticize and question the work of others. Azvareth ------------- The ways I was describing in my post are commonly used ways that many people use. Maybe you didn't exactly do the same thing, but it looks pretty damn close. Tainted_Hero ------------------ I agree, you can use programs and other things not as directed (except pills, don't try that), but when the usage is so... off compared to what they are actually used for, then I consider it a waste of a resource. A fence's purpose is to keep things in or out, not as an obstacle to jump over. 3DSMAX is a program to make 3D models and animations and effects, and GOOD abstracts. Not this... forum rules stop me from saying it, but you know what I'm going to say. More later, if I have nothing better to do than watch paint dry.
  9. What pisses me off is people like you who think that people having an opinion that goes against your own makes you better than us. Abstracts are what they are, simple and overly done. But they are overly done badly. People (like you) think that making a box and matrix extruding it (C4D) makes it an abstract. "Ooooh oooh I made a noise modifier," doesn't constitute abstract art. Don't get me wrong, I like abstracts. But after seeing countless bad ones, and posts by people like yourself thinking you are the be all and end all of the genre because you can put a box and a modifier in your setup. I can say what I like about the software. 3DSMAX wasn't designed for use by people who think that making an abstract is making a model and sprucing it up with a modifier. Try looking at what it is really used for. Go to ILM or RhythmandHues. That is what it was designed for, not people like you. What is this legal way you got it? OEM, because I don't think it's offered that way. If a place you work at let you install it at home, that is illegal, as is a school letting you take it home. If you use it where you work or school, that's fine, but anything besides that or buying your own $3000 license (or academic edition) is illegal.
  10. Just to add my unwanted (most likely) opinion. I believe that Entangle was right to begin with. f you are going to legally get (as I infer that Azvy has) 3DSMAX, thenyou definately use it for more than simple abstracts. It's purpose isn't that. It's for things like Finding Nemo, the Matrix Effects, Star Wars scenes... not abstract rendering. If it was bought legally, then I think that Azvy should have waited a lot longer and practiced his 3D on something else (BLENDER !!!!) because the abstracts are getting too overused and anyone with a mouse and an index finger can click around and render one. To make a good abstract, you need careful planning, a theme around which it will be based and other design elements. Not just a 3D render and some brushing. I say, if your going to get 3DSMAX (legally or illegally, I don't advocate either, but I bet 90-95% of people who have it here are of the latter category) then don't use it for abstracts. That is the worst use of resources I can think of. Azvy, I think (it doesn't matter, but I'll say it anyway) that you can't claim that yours is a bought legal version, because it's either a cracked trial version, or worse. If you seriously were spending $3000+ on it, you'd realize you need some skill to make it look good.
  11. I just got my tablet yesterday. I call it a Palm Tungsten E :P It may sound abnormal, but it is pretty easy to use. It's the best resolution for the price, and can do more than just draw. Well, my plug for the day. I can't draw unless I can see on the canvas what I'm drawing. Wacoms and other non-LCD tablets are good and all, but they just don't do it for me.
  12. What about something along the lines of my sig? PMme in game (cruiser1338) to talk.
  13. It looks OK, but I don't think it's anything new. At least apply some sort of texture to the landscape. I think that the mountains look a bit, fake. If you'd like to use a cool terrain that looks very cool, you can get terrains online based on actual places. There is somewhere online (search google for it) that has then in terrain format, and you can also find Digital Elevation Maps that you can use in Terragen. There's plenty of tutorials on that online, so you can find them yourself. The lighting is pretty good, but still, nothing out of the ordinary sunset.
  14. Suing seems a little far to go on this one :P Still, it is very simple and easy to do. All I think of is when I saw it was: "Garelick Farms. Add Something."
  15. I think it's pretty good. Only three colours used (well, one's a shade, white). It's very different from the ones I've done in the past. I'm thinking of making a website (probably a v2 of my MI-5/Spooks site). Maybe I'll post that if I do it. Please rate it and tell me why you gave the rating you did. I will sell it (changing the name of course) for a reasonable offer, please post here if interested.
  16. I just got that. You are so lucky. All I have seen of it so far is the little teasers on the main site (learn more at http://bbc.co.uk/drama/spooks). Looks like it'll be sooooo good. You lucky *****. :P BTW: He means he started in England earlier.
  17. Thanks a lot guys, it's really appreciated. I'll have the layout finished hopefully by Wednesday. After that, maybe I'll offer one free RuneScape oriented layout (coding not included, but you can buy that). Then I think I'll make websites on this board (not free). I'll put up a test version that's coded, look here for the link. Keep it coming!
  18. Comments and criticism and ratings are welcome. As you can see it is just basically the layout part. The content will be determined as the layout unfolds. Please rate, but tell me why I got a specific rating. By the way, MI-5/Spooks is a British television show that iss on A&E in the US. It features many characters, and it is really really cool. The new season (3) begins in January, so this was the inspiration.
  19. Also, most people watch CSI (and of the varieties), and the blood in that is pretty much as real as you can get. Why censor some stupid pixel blood (or even photographic blood?)?
  20. Isn't their usually a minimum age to sign up for anything on the internet (COPPA law...). As far as I know it has been in effect from 1999 I think, and it says you must be 13+ to register for internet things. As far as I know, 13 year olds won't get scared from small red pixels shaped like droplets. And if they do get afraid, then they are most likely less than thirteen, and therefore tip.it is not responsible for anything (because they would be inviolation of the law). You wouldn't censor a Picasso being shown on here would you? (Because Picassos are deformed and ugly, so would kids have nightmares about that?)
  21. If you'll do for free, I'd like the head of a Hellhound on one side, and me in full red drag using magic short special ranging him. Preferably, just hy head (white hair) and my torso showing bow. The hellhoun should have arrows sticking out of its head if possible (not usre if thats too gory for the new rules). Whatever you like there. If you don't want to, I'll take a new avatar with me in full red dragon and magic short, whatever's more convenient.
  22. Here's my very first pixel work! Not great, but I thought I'd try. It's a little small, but who cares it's free. Really I forgot the avatar size limit on the board. Hope you like!
  23. User, you uhaven't replied to my PM's but it is obvious you've been on. Please tell me whats going on with my stuff? Did you like, dislike...? Please get back to me.
