  1. Well, I've done all of them and only started playing 20 months ago so many of them were done with the absolute minimum stats (and resources) necessary. This, I admit, has clouded my view of what is and what is not annoying, but I do have to say: One Small Favour - annoying? No way. That was fun. MEP2 was tough and annoying, but i do love that whole Tirannwn story line, so did not mind too much - I wanted it to be tough to keep as many out as possible. Sheep herder - others have said this was so annoying they put it off for a while - me too! :wall: However, it you want annoying. Really frustratingly, "Whop yr [wagon] and send you home, Ooh I'm poisoned (again), Yeah now you need another set of false teeth, No his aunt has seen you (again), Mind that trap!" mind-bogglingly rancid, my vote goes to the aptly named..... Monkey Madness #-o
  2. Everyone loves talking about themselves, so this is a great post. So, my turn, here goes... I sat there at the screen name prompt, and all of the LOTR names I could think of were either gone or not allowed. My mind went blank! I've read many hundreds of great novels and just couldn't think of a name. I then resorted to my youth and tried MattTheMod from the social 'tribe' with which I associated - not knowing what a Mod was in the game. Anyway this was not allowed. I did not want numbers, I wanted something clever and (hopefully) unique. From watching my son play I could see the pseudo-medieval theme and all I could think of at the time related to where I live. Bletchley is derived from the Saxon "Blecca's Ley". A ley is a clearing in the forest and Blecca was (one would suppose) the name of the leader of the tribe or family that settled there. So Blecca it was. BTW it is annoying that the guy near the sand pit in Zanaris has a similar name and yes, my came first!
  3. Hey Harrington, As it is such an attractive place; well constructed; with a thriving marketplace, a bank and now with the commuter link to Keldagrim, have you considered Dorgesh-kaan as an alternative location? (If you are not excited by this thought then please re-read my earlier comments regarding the location within Keldagrim - coastline, the Wildy and all that - do you agree and if so, then how about a graphical update?) Keep up the good work!
  4. I am beginning to understand Artificial_Doom_Flavor's viewpoint. I was ignorant of these arrangements between PKers and now see that they make sense. (Respect gained). Sausageman's original complaint though, surely, was with regard to the verbal complaints and other actions when these agreements are broken or thought to be broken. So, in order to enlighten me further (and this is a genuine request for information - no sarcasm intended), can Artificial_Doom_Flavor or someone with similar views tell me: if a non-PKer (such as an Abyss Runecrafter) comes into sight during one of these honour sessions does the honour-code extend to that one? If you answer YES: then fine - I walk away content. If you answer NO: then tell me - where is the honour in that?
  5. I can see that idea causing a great deal of debate and were it to happen I think that the scenes at Edgeville would make the next God Wars look like a tea party. What would you call such a clan?
  6. :P =D> Go Go Estarayella!! What a great plan - I'd love to see that (having been Abyss PK'ed too many times)
  7. EDIT - sorry guys I misread a post and have now scrubbed my hasty reply
  8. I enjoyed the article though without much understanding never having pked and I never will. Some of the debate though...what a load of pony! A pker is a murderer - where is there any honour in that? [No, do not reply - that was rhetorical] Some of the replies put me in mind of the Black Knight in Monty Python's 'Holy Grail' - they would reduce us all to skilless, weaponless, limbless bleeding idiots (oh, but with loads of loot). - Magic?-BAD; Prayer?-BAD; Agility?-BAD; Too much Strength?-BAD; Too much Defence?-BAD. Yeah, this reply is biased - i h8 all pkers.
  9. R U N E S C A P E <> C H R O N I C L E 5th April 2007 Special Edition TIP IT CREW ARRESTED AND CHARGED In a dramatic dawn raid this morning, the VGSP (Varrock Guard Secret Police) raided several locations over RuneScape and arrested five memebers of the notorious Tip-It Crew Gang. The gang members, famous for their daring exploits, were later charged with breaking-and-entering; theft; and crimes against comedy - contrary to the RuneScape Lore. An unnamed, but shabbily dressed, spokesman for the VGSP gave a statement to the Chronicle earlier today, saying: 'We have been watching these gangsters for quite a while now and it was only a matter of time before we tracked them down...they have been charged in connection with data theft from a secret installation. I cannot say anymore until the matter is tried in court, but I can tell you that an incriminating piece of evidence was left at the scene of the crime.' Chronicle sources within the legal profession have revealed that so-called 'DNA evidence' has been used, in conjunction with the mysterious Vyrewatch (some sort of blood specialist organisation) to identify a small drop of blood left at the site - believed to have resulted from misuse of a thumbdrive espionage device. The arrested Tip-It crew members could face jail sentences of up to 3 hours, if found guilty. C H R O N I C L E <> E D I T O R I A L Tip-It crew, as you languish in your jail cells, answer me this - Are you trying to ruin this great game? Using your RuneScape-given skills and equipment to raid chez-Andy? What a disgrace. Do you not realise that those people at Jagex can read! They will see what you have done and all of those great updates that you described will now be cancelled. :wall:  :x ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Seriously though guys - great article, loved it - i almost REALLY did lol. Must ask though - why did you not take imp boxes and simply tele all the incriminating stuff to your swiss bank accounts?
  10. Well... there's a river flowing through the place, so it's not that illogical. Besides, it could be deep underground inside of a mountain lol. The existence of trees and fact flooring turns from stone/dirt into sand says otherwise. Plus even if that could happen vital floor is keldagrim is in the icey mountain regions Thoose trees and ground types wouldn't exsist that far north PLUS the eastern side of keldagrim would be facing towards wilderness, there is no coean there if u look at world map. I like the whole idea the keldagrim thing just seems obsurd. Perhaps guild building inside the city itself, bwith its own private cart track tht leads to a hidden forest in mountainy areas dwarves found. There you get no outdoor/indoor issues and still have the same features Please see my post in this regard....(It's just up the previous page). I think that I show here that the beach (and therefore: The Guild) could be on northern coast. And the question of flora? - Well the micro-climate could be explained by heat from magma chamber or volcanic vents - thereby allowing exotic trees etc.
  11. I'm glad this post is still active as it is interesting, exciting and well-informed (is the cheque in the post? ) However, I have carefully mapped out the location of Keldagrim and consequently have to point out one serious misgiving with the proposed location: The key clue as to where Keldagrim lies is obtained from the ice troll cave north-west of the Ice Gate (as used in Troll Romance quest). From here you can 'see' through the rock to the south-west corner of Keldagrim. The cave entrance is at 11 degrees 56 minutes East Keldagrim is approximately 122 RS squares east to west, which is roughly 3 minutes 54 seconds, so... This places Keldagrim between: Trollweis Mountain in the east; Trollheim in the south; the Ice Path to the north; and the wilderness in the east (around the Forgotten Cemetery). Therefore, and regrettably, I have to inform you that your proposed beach would be in the Wildy! Between the cemetery and the Chaos Alter. All is not lost however. The RS map has a blanked-out area north of Ice Path just waiting for an update. Keldagrim River flows from beneath the tarn north of the Troll Stronghold (a lake with no obvious outfall - therefore feeding an underground stream?) and exits Keldagrim flowing northwards, towards the sea. So may I suggest that the guild be placed a short boat ride north along the river instead? Maybe we can have Ice Dragons?
  12. Keldagrim location looking good dude. Please remember to take out that funny bit west of the mine carts though
  13. Excellent! :D This is very exciting and I shall follow its development closely. BTW, I'm not nit-picking, but.... Well, think of Zanaris (not too long, that place is crazy) trees grow there.
  14. I've taken the liberty of transplanting your proposed Guild to Keldagrim, with the dragons in a dungeon beneath. I have left the grass green so it stands out (of course I'm not lazy). What do you think? (NB If using these images has upset anyone, or broken any rules, then I am sorry for that)
