I dont know exactly what happened but if he was already throwing when he called time he shouldnt have stopped because he could have hurt his arm, and he probably didnt throw at him on purpose, so I think its ridiculous. He was in the middle of his windup, not actually throwing, but stopping in the windup is still dangerous. Also, Abreu kind of gestured toward Beckett like, "Hey, what the hell?" So that wasn't necessary.

What do you guys feel about Beckett's suspension? I think it's ridiculous that they thought he threw at Abreu on purpose. He was already starting to throw when time was called, and pitchers at that level obviously can't stop when they're throwing very easily. This happens a lot when the pitcher is throwing and time is called, the pitch is always wild.
