Quoted for truth. My opinion is this: when you go into the wilderness you risk being killed, so don't bring your new santa hat or your favorite whip into the wildy if you expect it back. On the other hand, a pker should have some morals. If he kills a pure in full pking gear, he should feel bad, as he defeated somebody that is tough to beat in the wilderness. But, you shouldn't pk defenceless runecrafters. Sure, they did go into the wildy, but they didn't challenge you and it is actually difficult to pk runecrafters if the runecrafters know what they are doing. My two cents. The first part is true.. just as you said. However, the part where you said that they should feel bad for pking a pure just isn't right. If you kill a pure, someone built to hold his own in the wilderness, you should feel proud of yourself. Heck, i'm pure and i always feel good when i pk someone. I just killed a lvl 78 (i'm 62) that attacked me while i was killing greens and i felt great about it, even though i got almost nothing. As for the not being allowed to pk... I think that's just kinda lame. No offense to your mom, but if you're old enough to play the game, i think you're old enough to enter the wilderness. I was in a clan with an 8 year old for a while and he did just fine. No aggressiveness from him. I'm really laid back... I dunno, some parents just seem to blind kids from anything un-christianlike. *Edit -- I just saw your sig and want you to know that i support your pking. Definitely mature enough IMO.

I disagree. I don't tag, tele, or pray. There's a lot of people that follow those rules, the majority of the Mayhem Makers, FOE, and TLP, for instance. Honor exists. People that don't pk just don't see it.

well, the addition of requirements is really lame. as a pure that ranges green dragons, i come across lvl 3's frequently enough. knowing that they've been ruined for me is a real buzzkill.

Not necessarily. Lag? Comp Problems? Same things happen in the wilderness. If i get a kill out there that's an obvious lag, ie i shoot someone down slowly and they don't eat with food in the inv, i'm usually willing to give back what they lost. There are the exceptions of rudeness, etc.

As a lvl 62 using ice burst, i've managed all of 1300 damage in a somewhat long game.

yes, there was a time before tutorial island. my main, back on rsc, is 0 magic xp, 0 range xp. not too hard. he started as a miner as well. big deal.

Jagex doesn't involve itself with the economy of Runescape like the creaters of, say, Everquest involve themselves with it's economy. May RPGs include very stable, realistic economies just as the real world economy does. Depressions in Everquest, FF XI, and WoW relate to Runescape as a 100k drop in a whip, at the most. Great depressions are comperable, but very rare as the economy is set. RS's economy is based on players doing their best, not like the stable economies of other RPGs which are monitered by the creators and (sometimes) investers..

I remember making rune plate pures on rsc, but no one would help my pure out.. so dead monk in rsc... 60 att, 40 def, 66 str, 60 hp. sounds like a bad name for rs2, but then again trainings easier here. i won lots staking with that name. even as a pker, i pretty much rocked others. i remember when my name was hacked with 2 party hat sets on it... i didn't really care and just started dead monk. (i'd lost a whole 20k at the time) bah, ffs now it sucks. *here air mage* /me starts whistling. same with gold drake. if you own either account, please return them. i want the phat sets.

I remember when pking took skill. Back when you could do it anywhere. I used to watch Pork Chop pk outside the Champs guild because addy plates were 40k and you could only bank money. go ahead, beat that. (that was before rune, btw.) It was 3 consecutive hits on the same round of damage. (You'd wait for a high hit then spec twice. If you hit 25 on the first one, expect between 23 and 27 on the next two.) Now, it just blows.

...Do you realize what that would do? We, as rangers, don't need to switch weapons to spec. Even giving us 2 specials has proven disastrous... (As any ranger Mayhem Maker from when the spec took 40%)
