Pics or it didn't happen I'm looking at you condescendingly  It didn't really work because I was laughing. Holy crap, you look just like someone I know lol. Haha that's cool. If you're from Belgium it couldn't be me though. It's surprising how there are lots of similar looking people around the world. Well, there's like... 10's of billions of people in the world (past and present), it'd be hard to have all them being unique :P

I don't get why you would want all drugs to be legalized. Laws aren't there so can annoy you, laws are here to maintain order. If people were to take drugs (hard drugs, that is), problems would arise. Addicted people are a risk to a society, they'll get aggressive if they don't get their next fix, they'll commit crimes to be able to fund their addiction. It goes much further than just harming your own body.

  4. Police and firefighters and such should be provided by the state. That's something important, IMHO. If that isn't the case, the company that takes over these services would need to make profit, and since it would no longer be government funded, they'd have to get this money from the service they are offering. They would be charging people for a lot of things that people shouldn't be charged for. Also, immediate help should only be given if the need suddenly arises for that (for example, an earthquake), but otherwise, long term investments are the way to go. I agree fully with the title of this thread, a government (or any kind of organization) should focus on helping whoever is in need to sustain themselves, instead of just giving them some food to make 'em shut up.

That's not the reason suiciding is illegal though... Probably not. But I was demonstrating how suicide isn't just something you do to your own body, it goes further than that.
  6. thermal's for [bleep]es anyways There's nothing wrong with using it, I just find that on most maps it doesn't actually help. It's a necessity for sniping on Underpass. I can snipe there without thermal. Sure, it's easier with, but [bleep] it, I run around while sniping anyone so it doesn't really matter.

Actually what you mentioned such as the nose piercing being your choice only pertains to you. You obtaining the nose piercing and wearing it does not hurt anyone else. And plus the argument "it's my body I can do what I want with it" isn't fully valid either because if one were allowed to do what only effected them, then why is it illegal to attempt do certain drugs, attempt suicide, etc. Now for the part were you can't pierce someone else's nose without their consent, you don't have the consent of the would-be child to abort it. It is sad that we treat our offspring like mere possessions. Doing drugs is more than just affecting yourself. (I'm talking hard drugs, not weed or stuff like that). The thing is, even if you're wealthy, you'll harm others or break some law to be able to get your fix, and it's just inevitable if you get addicted to drugs, which is why even if it's your own body it's illegal: it'll end up harming others. And the sad truth is that many suicides fail. 1 million people succesfully commit suicide in a year, while about 20 to even 30 million people fail at commiting suicide (worldwide). Thing is, most of the people that fail at committing suicide will have some kind of handicap after. This just ends up making it harder for both the victim and those that need to take care of the victim, so like taking drugs, it'll influence other people too. Now, a fetus can't give you consent, because it's not a self-conscious person. Also, minors aren't allowed to take any legal decisions even after birth, they are deemed legally immature so they're parents take their decisions for them.

Do you get a lot of venomous snakes in your backyard? lol Anyway, today I got a mic stand I order 2 days ago. Very happy. Only problem: I don't have a mic clip, which I need to actually attach a mic to it lol.
  9. Do I need to buy this from PSN? What's it called?

And they're so unhappy it's best we put an end to a child's life before he ever is. Life is tough for pretty much everyone. Yes, life is tough for a lot of people, but parents still want the best for their kids, which is why not everyone has an abortion because their kid will be unhappy; they want their kid to be happy. If you're putting it up for adoption, odds are the kid won't be very happy, so you might as well just have an abortion to prevent that life from happening, however cruel that may sound.
  11. Lol, I wasn't really thinking to be honest :P
  12. So what are you saying; that it isn't random? That it's somehow predestined? lol religion Uhm, okay. Thanks for the mature response. Just as I thought something intelligent was being typed by you.

Who says underage parents are automatically irresponsible? And as I said countless times, adoption exists. I'm not saying you shouldn't be allowed to have an abortion, but you should consider that option. As for that bolded statement, that somewhat disturbs me. I'll have to agree with Aliath on that though, once you start forbidding women to have a baby you're going too far, it's still their own choice.
  14. So what are you saying; that it isn't random? That it's somehow predestined?
  15. Wait, you can rent movies on PS3? Is this international or US-only?
  16. Distracted replied to Aliath's topic in Off-Topic
    1. That's why adoption exists. Sorry, but if you're going to have underage sex or otherwise sex when you're unprepared to raise a child you should accept the risks that come with it. Look, if every single kid that parents didn't want to raise themselves were put into orphanages, they would overflow. Abortion can be seen as one of so many ways to counteract overpopulation, even if it's such a tiny difference. 2. 75 to 85 percent of women who have been raped have chosen not to abort their child. Of the people who do abort their child, only a very small percentage do it because they were raped. Not wanting to sound disrespectful, did you just make that up or do you have some sort of source for this?
  17. Wait, no, nvm.
  18. Oh yeah, got the RPG today, it's awesome. Now I made an explosives class (without OMA, mind). It rocks, I come in first on FFA every time.
  19. Well, I think most here agree there must be life somewhere in the universe. But do you think we'll ever interact? Would that be peacefully or bloody?
  20. Haven't seen a thread like this for a while. Okay, do you think there is another life form somewhere in this (or maybe even another) universe, or do you think we're alone? Do you believe that UFO's are actually flown by extraterrestrials? What about crop circles? And alien abductions? Etcetera. Just anything about extraterrestrial life. Let me start off by saying I do believe that there is another life form somewhere but I doubt they fly past in UFO's for no apparent reason. I also don't believe that aliens abduct people. Your opinions?
  21. Distracted replied to Aliath's topic in Off-Topic
I never really got why adoption should be done instead of abortion. I mean, sure, abortion sounds cruel and whatnot, but I doubt many children actually get adopted. And once you pass a certain age, no one will even think of adopting you. Basically, you're just making a lot of children miserable instead of preventing them from living through that kind of life. Anyway, my opinion on it is that abortion should be allowed, that way whoever wants to get an abortion will get one safely and whoever doesn't want to get an abortion can just not get one.

Hmm, no, I wouldn't. I would be annoyed, but I'd still be flattered.
  23. This worked perfectly, thanks a lot. That's the last time I'm just randomly clicking a link like that lol.
  24. Ok, so here's the deal. A friend of mine sent me an automated message that said "Photo: <link>". I didn't think much of it, thinking it would actually be some picture, so I clicked it. When I got to Firefox, I had to download a file. Thinking it was the picture, I allowed it to be downloaded. It was a binary file, I think it was an [Caution: Executable File]. After downloading it, I got redirected to myspace. Thinking it was a bad link or something, I just went on with life. Then, suddenly, my MSN goes insane, it quickly opens a chat with all my contacts before minimizing them, and I'll have sent everyone the same link I got sent. This is very annoying, both for my contacts and me, so I need a solution. So far, I've tried a few different things: I deleted MSN from my PC and then reinstalled it. I looked at my downloads-file (where all my Firefox downloads are sent to) but couldn't find anything suspicious there. I've also done multiple scans with 2 different programs and none have found something suspicious (except for Norton that found 95 tracking cookies lol.) Anyway, I know it was dumb to click the link and download something, but like I said, it was a friend, I didn't thin anything of it. So does anyone have a potential solution?
