where we live fireworks are illegal..but the cops usualy dont care..however where i live its been really dry so the cops are going to confiscate fireworks and give ppl fines this year...which means alot of running probly..

And who's to say the virtual life isn't better than the real life? There is a reason people try to escape reality so much. I say you do whatever floats your boat, it's your choice. As for the intelligence thing...there may be some correlation (but you could by no means even develop a sterotype). The smarter kids in my high school class nearly all played video games, much more so than many of the other kids. Computer gamers, as a whole, were more intelligent than the console gamers. But that's just an observation from one high school...so I don't know. I can see why you'd draw that conclusion...but like I said, I wouldn't automatically assume anything about anyone. Girlfriends/boyfriends are very time consuming for younger people...at least in my experience. They'll get you away doing other things besides video games quite easily (sometimes abandoning friends for a while, as happened with one of my friends...although he later realized his mistake and the group of us welcomed him back). Oh, and I would suppose the intelligence correlation is more personality dependent than anything else. Quiet(er) kids are more likely to be more devoted to school, so they may just be trying harder. As for the little part I bolded, as a general rule that's correct but there are ways of diversifying DNA between bacteria. Obviously mutations would aid in the diversification and indeed bacteria have a pretty high rate of mutation which is furthur exacerbated by short generation times. The specific mechanism of DNA diversification between bacteria is achieved through things called 'sex pili' which allow bacteria to transfer plasmid DNA which aids in antibiotic resistance. Just a little fact of the day. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pilus this i do understand. the reason that the mutations are so easily accomplished can be credited to the fact that bacterial dna are formed into rings that are easily spliced. infact genetisists do this when creating products from better drugs to enhancing plants used for food. however as u move into the more complex organisims it becomes more dificult to mutate genes without destroying the reproductive properties of the organism. as with bacteria this doesnot present a problem as bacteria simply devide. what i was talking about with the sterility was more of a cat mating with a dog. bacteria obviously dont mesh well with mamals. on the other hand 1 dog can mate with another breed of dog with no problem as their genes are close enough. the only organisims that are able to mutate other organisms genes are usualy retro viruses. retro viruses penetrate the outer layer of the nucleus and exchange a premeade rna section into the dna. obviously this usualy will destroy the organism...aids anyone...and if u must say that evolution as a method of spontanious change, you must look at the virus as the most evolved organism on the planet. it is the proliferation of an organism in the most simplist way. of course there would be those that say humans too are a type of virus as we have no consievable use othere than to proliferate and exist..the same as viruses.

ok i kicked my brother off my laptop because he is an idiot... but i decided to throw in my slightly(sarcasim) more experienced opinion. im not out to beat my beliefs into others or anything like that. :wall: im not a simpleton and im not a freakin albert einstine either so i do make mistakes. if there is something that is wrong with what i say(scientificaly or biblicaly feel free to point out my mistake and ill correct what i say depending on wether or not i can find an independant source) basicaly from my studies on evolution, however limited, i find that most people misunderstand many of the basic concepts. Many animals cannot have developed certain traits that they have through sudden change. evolution comes from long periods of time where small variations in genetics determine which animals are better suited for survival and proliferation. one example of the failure of a species to evolve obviously is the dodo. The dodo died out because it couldnt fly...other birds obviously learned how to or migrated so why didnt the dodo? simply put birds split into 3 groups. those that could fly, those that could adapt to extreme cold, and those that got eaten. For example: bird a. learns to fly and gets lots of female birds bcause he is different and makes lots of little birds that can fly. the birds continue to mate with each other and deversify into the many species we have today. bird b. can swim underwater and get lots of fish, he gets a smaller portion of the females. because of the extreemes of their habitat birds born without certain abilities die. thus there are less types of flightless birds. bird b. is the ugly bird and maby gets 3 females. they all make ugly birds and pass down bad traits. vultures come and eat all dodo's becasue they look dead they so ugly. the belief that a tree will suddenly sprout into another creature is contradicted by science in the fact that any organisim that is radically different from its group cannot reproduce sexualy. and if it produces a sexualy there is no deversification. and the species dies out as climates change and it cannot adapt geneticaly. that was bio and now lets talk about physics and my fav thermo-dy. now im not saying that i understant much about thermodynamics but from what i do understant a big bang can never happen. energy is constantly expanding the system we call our universe in a decaying pattern. to stop the decay of a system you must imput energy however there is nothing larger than the universe to imput energy. well someone might say well gravity!!! that pulled everything togather!!!..wel gravity is just as strong as all of the other attractive/repulsive forces, however gravity is also able to phase into another parallel demension which explains the apparent weakness of gravity. another reason that particles can never congregate with enough force to fuse would have to be entropy. Entropy explains that all particles are in constant motion. they do crash into each other but always maintain a distance from other molecules determined by the set size of the container. however if the container is the universe and the universe is constantly expanding not only is the energy being dissapated into space(energy only being contained in the atoms and other smaller sub atomic particals-photons=light), but is also being dissapated by the expansion of the universe not only in the 2 or 3 d plane but also the 4th-time and other various demensions which we coexsist with. simply put some source of already existing power created the universe we know today. oh and there is no parallel demension at the end of a black hole. a black hole is a gravity sink left by a super-nova. when the black hole consumes back the mass and energy that once was a star the black hole burps up a nebula. which makes more stars and starts the cycle over agin....just for general info... also scientists know that there is a source of power near the center of the universe which contains more energy than the entirety of the rest of the universe....i just wonder what that could be...remember. as stated above any source of energy dissapates due to entropy. yet this source of energy hasnt. also stated energy must be imputed into a system to incur a reaction. this energy cannot already be present in the system otherwise the reaction would have already occured( which presents an unsolvable paradox unless u belive that God has always existed) because othewise the universe was A. made by a supreme being, or B. is a imposability because of science.
