  1. Hopefully enough hybrid, maybe even tribrid armor will be released so that armor switching isn't necessary, and keep it weak enough compared to regular armor that it doesn't outshine it.
  2. Let's see. I don't think the hp/lp thing is bad, because it's hard to NOT train hp/lp, and there's no reward for doing so. That being said, puts hp/lp in the background because the level won't really matter. Easy fix is HP req on some of the higher LP boosting armor. The combat formula needs to include prayer to be accurate. Not sure about about summoning - depends on how good steel titans remain. Definitely an issue there. Penalizing armour switching - might suck, but I understand it. If the combat triangle is to actually matter, Jagex needs to penalize armour switching. Wonder how this will affect TDs tho, since you NEED multiple combat styles to kill them. On a related note, will claws keep their spec or be useless? In theory, penalizing training on low-level mobs makes sense. From a lore point of view, once you can easily slaughter hundreds or thousands of goblins in a day, you won't really learn from killing them. And keeping high levels away from low level monsters doesn't seem like a bad thing. Keep in mind, Jagex will probably also redo a lot of monsters combat levels. So you should wait and see on this one. The thing about adrenaline, is it's designed so you can't just rush into combat and use a crazy ass spec. You build up to it. It prevents rushing. Also, it's probably better for the overall health of the game to have this adrenaline system then a system where you need to spend 12m on claws for the really awesome spec - makes awesome specs available to a lot more people. Not to mention awesome special attacks aren't essentially limited to melee. As for numbers... meh. You're reasoning seems mostly nostalgia. In my mind, there isn't that much difference between hitting 1k on something with 99k health and hitting 1 on something with 99 health. It's just something new to get used to. Overall, the major things I have against it are prayer/summ not being part of combat level and that combat familiars will likely be useless for a while.
  3. I'm so happy I just got enough money to buy 95 prayer. Still gotta do the bones, and I might needs to buy more tortoises or herbs. And 200k bank. Still looking good. Hopefully I can get it before the beta.
  4. Combat formula is changing, so there's a good chance they will. As for the armor thing, Jagex wants to make the combat triangle matter more with this update. If you can constantly switch armor without penalty, well, there's significantly less of a combat triangle imo.
  5. Ehh, the combat previous combat formula was far too complicated and not really accurate. Although, prayer/summon are powerful enough that they should be included.
  6. Ironically, although this show is darker and edgier, I think the first show had a lot worse fridge horror then the second one.
  7. I'm mostly sticking around for the combat update at this point :P Of course, it helps that I've got more stuff to do then you. I have skills to train and tasks to beat (once I get the skills.)
  8. They've answered most of the questions I had issues with, but even if this system destroys summ/def pures or other sorts of pures, it still gives a huge edge to players with 99 summ and 95 turm.
  9. So, I think that forum post answered most of my questions about summ tanks and such. And you're forced to train your combat skills semi-equally or your screwed if you're forced to fight lvl 50 monsters with lvl 1 range. Summ pures/def hopefully won't be effective. Depends on how good steel titan is in the new system. Still doesn't answer the prayer question either, this forces everyone who wants to be competitive in PVP to get turm.
  10. I like the Magic cape! because it's the only one I have
  11. I don't really give a squat for the name, it could be named Gigantic Testes Bar of Actions and it wouldn't matter to me. I'm mainly talking about its functions :P You'd probably like it more like that, just admit it ;) Honestly... I get my Surgebox tokens back, so I'm not disappointed, and this might make the Celestial Staff far more worthwhile. At any rate, Magic has needed a significant reduction in rune costs for a long time.
  12. My personal bet is that Amon really is a master waterbender who is playing the Equalists like a fiddle. It is a bit too ridiculous he magically can resist bloodbending (unless the spirits armed him with other things) and Mako looked like he was in a weird position when he was about to do his de-bending thing to Korra. It was established before Azula zapped Aang that if the Avatar dies in the avatar state, the avatar cycle ends. Plus, your theory makes Amon at least like 90 years old. Also, I thought of his ability to resist bloodbending was simply an extension of his de-bending powers. He uses his ability to remove bending essence or whatever to remove the bending essence that Tarrlok was putting in his blood.* The reason why he struggled was that Tarrlok kept pumping in this bending essence or what have you to try to keep bloodbending him. *I don't exactly know how bending works. Amon would only be 70 if my theory were correct, and even then age doesn't matter since King Bumi was 112 and could fight without a problem. I'm pretty sure earth benders age far, far slower then regular benders. Think about how long King Bumi and the last earth Avatar lived. Meanwhile, Aang dies a natural death at the age of 66. (Time spent frozen underwater doesn't count.) So, you're right, Amon would be 70 by your theory... and the master water bender that taught Katara at the north pole was Katara's grandmother's age. So, his age might not be that implausible after all. Still, I think my other point still stands. If the Avatar dies in the Avatar state, the avatar cycle ends. It wouldn't make sense for a new avatar to have been born at that point. To be fair, the Equalists aren't entirely trained in fighting airbenders as much as water, earth, and firebenders. Their equipment can be blown away easily, airbenders have excellent reflexes, and the children caught them completely off guard. Yeah, it sucked to see Lin was having issues, but there were a lot of chi-blockers at the island and she was caught off-guard by them on the second ship. It's a bit weird a 30-something character sounds like a teenager just to do it for the fanbase. I actually thought this several times throughout the show. There are currently only FOUR functional air benders in the entire planet. Equalist training involves being taught how to fight benders. Different strategies for different benders. Air bending is a very unique style and it would be exceedingly difficult to study their style to learn how to fight them, and virtually impossible to have any equalist practice fighting airbenders. Meanwhile, some of the teachers of the equalist fighting style would have, at some point, would have fought water, earth or firebenders if for no other reason then to practice. In fact, equalists fighting thugs from the triads and other republic city gangs would be perfect and very plausible practice for a lot of the more experienced equalists to have fought. The same thing existed in ATLA actually, Aang have an advantage on virtually everyone he fought in that no one knew the air-bending fighting style, whereas Aang, at the very least, had a basic understanding of theirs.

  14. Yeah pretty much. I read on cracked that they have a word for little lies that make society function. The classic one is telling your grandmother you love the sweater she gave you, causing her to give you another one next year, even tho you hate it. And according to the articles, they don't even consider it false, more like two different versions of the truth or reality or something. Chances are you'll need to make similar statements in interviews. ... STELIOS STELIOS KONTOS
  15. No, no, pretty sure that's the last episode. I watched that too.
  16. That's a good point, especially since there seems to be SOME sort of relationship between the two (or some reason for the immense hatred sparked when compared to Amon). ...Did they ever explain what happened to Yakone or are we just left to assume that he's spending/spent his life in prison? Nope we never really got an explanation for that, so I guess if you mean what I think you do, it's possible they could be father/son. The last episode kinda explain the relationship >_>
  17. Especially since he's specifically training his army to TAKE OUT benders.
  18. Tempted to apply to be a quest editor. Yeah, I know I'm late on noticing and applying for these staff positions.
  19. Well, I like the explanation in the episode. Some benders are just REALLY, REALLY GOOD. Toph created metal bending, there's combustion man... Some people are good benders, and it could be genetic. Remember, bending is both an innate and an acquired skill - you need an innate ability to bend, but you still need a teacher of some sort. Tarrlok, being Yakone's son, was both born with a strong innate ability, and was likely trained by him at some point. Also, they specify that no witness saw Yakone bending during the full moon, EVER. If they talk about bloodbending more, expect this to be brought up. Him ignoring bloodbending is more likely an extension of his own ability to remove bending. Worth noting - combustion man. I'd say you're crazy, but I'm pretty sure combustion man was something resembling a cyborg, in which case a very secluded, hidden group (if it was a big group, we should've seen more people like him) would have had cyborg technology for decades...
  20. There's a difference between them saying they're not going to do it and they have no plans to. No plans to means it's not something they're working on. Wouldn't do means they have something against that idea. I can guarantee you that they were thinking about doing a 2nd BXP before the first one even finished. But, they needed to see how well that one fared first. The Squeal, well that... happened. Not sure what these J coins you're talking about are, or these discontinued items. But, um, holiday events have been around for years and have items you can only get at that event. I have nothing against Jagex introducing more things like these. I'd rather see people pay for the SoF for limited time items then for exp. The only problem with that is that it would require you 10x the amount of exp required for 99. So? Only disadvantage I see (which would/could be major) is pissing people off who are happy at being lvl 99. They would have a lot more room to make bosses/gear/endgame things. ETC ETC ETC. Give capes at 99 too, as well as 120 like DG. But I think its more likely that range/mage will give extra combat levels like str/att/def already do. Better significantly increase the exp you earn in melee skills then. Honestly, considering equipment caps out at like lvl 80 tho, they still have a bunch of room. Consider 120 combat skills after there's lvl 90 and lvl 99 armours and weapons. Did you read his post? He was saying that armour changing goes against the spirit of the game because rapidly switching to a different class of armour somewhat defeats the point of the combat triangle. Also, hopefully people will have better things to do when pk'ing then switch armour back and forth anyways. This obviously means that hybrid and tribrid gear would need to be made as well. I'm relatively sure Jagex has stated they will be making a lot of new weapons/armour with this update in order to fill tier gaps - so if those gaps are filled, why not hybrid/tribrid gear? I agree with this. So why am I posting and responding to so much >_<
