You know that the equipment screen lists max hit, hit chance and miss chance, right? Ya, but I don't trust it. I just got hit a 9 through 100% defend chance. it might be a rounding error though. Probably a rounding error. Considering how RS works, unless they completely changed how combat works, it's impossible to get 100% defend chance (or 0% chance of hit.) Well, at least without going into negative attack penalties.

For OP, the reasons to buy a 360 are their exclusive games and (apparently) better multiplayer experience. Which you will need to pay for. Are those exclusive games (halo) and more engaging online experience worth getting a 360 for? That's what you need to decide. At any rate, since the last 15 minutes of posts have been deleted because they seem to revolve around a troll, could a mod please lock this topic?

If your going to suggest I read, then perhaps you should do the same. First, I did the math again. If I had gotten a console instead of my current PC, I'd be up at least $700, probably closer to $900. The laptop it replaced is still a viable machine that could conceivably get me through school as is. It didn't require replacing. And the PC hasn't even gotten to upgrade time yet (minus the $80 or so second hard drive it now has). Second, I brought up the point about what people want, because what gives you the best experience depends entirely on what you want to get out of said experience. You can't get a better experience out of computer if all it does is make you angry when you try to get it to work, where the console is plug and play and you never have to worry about it. This is why apple products are so popular with older people, because they've got usability down to a science like no one else (I am of course referring only to their tablets and phones here, not their computers). Anyone your going to find here probably belongs to the lucky segment of the population that is at lest semi technology literate. Most people are baffled by computers. Even people from the technology generation like myself are baffled by these mystical machines (by that I mean people my age, not me personally). They don't know how they work, and they sure don't know how to fix let along maintain then (which is why no one else will ever be allowed to use my computer). For most of the world, using a computer is a continuous exercise in frustration because they can't make them do what they want, and the computer is probably perpetually broken anyway. These people can never have a fun gaming experience on a PC, and will always prefer the console. And also becuase I edited this in while people we're replying: Oh, and no. People don't react well to 'I'm right your wrong so thbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbt'. We are naturally programmed to defend our stance, and saying things like that forces people onto the defensive. The more you try to hammer something like that into people, the more they are going to shut down and stop listening to you, because we are social creatures that evolved to interact a certain way, and proving we are dominate takes precedence to being right. You can't get any place in an argument if you challenge dominance like that. This. Argument over tbh. Randox wins. EDIT: I had some other things to say, but in light of the mod posts and actions that happened between when I hit the reply button and when I posted, they're better left unsaid. Most of them in response to posts worthy of deletion. (I say this because the posts were deleted.)

I think there's a good point how consoles are easier since you just plug and play. Also, as for people hating PC gamers, whether or not PC is better is irrelevant when people make statements saying "PC is better whether you realize it or not." That's just arrogant. Fyi, building a PC requires more effort then buying a gaming system. If you want a console type controller for the PC, you need to specifically go out and buy one. I'm not saying this makes consoles better or equal to PCs, I'm saying consoles have certain advantages over PC. They tend to be more convenient.

Eh, Beta won't get implemented as is. As sad as I am that Bandos now has higher reqs and therefore is better then barrows, it makes sense. Afterall, which one's easier to get lol. I just hope they either make Bandos degradeable or Barrows not degradeable. Just like PVP gear, it's dumb having degradeable gear when higher level gear isn't degradeable. (Ok, well, both PVP and Nex gear are degradeable, but PVP gear turns to nothingness after a few hours, whereas Nex gear just needs to be repaired. And I'm pretty sure Nex gear lasts longer.)

Actually, you seem to have a very common problem that, imo, is a huge one because it is so common. A lot of people don't vote because they don't like ANY of the politicians running. Also, I've heard it suggested that a big problem with modern politics (from cracked mind you, possibly not the best source lol) is that politics becomes more focused on petty party rivalry then intelligent discussion and debate. People will disagree with the party they don't support on the grounds that they don't support it, and agree with the party they support because it's the party they support. Problem is, politicians seems to care more about winning the election then about the country.

He was basically threatening with nukes, armies, ass violation, and being annoying because he felt the other scammed him. So, I like how he's sending armed men to your location, AND nuking your location. Collateral damage much? Also, several nukes? That's kinda redundant lol. I can't see two nukes doing significantly more damage then one nuke. Or even if it does do more damage, does it even matter at that point? Also, I hope those nukes are arriving like, I don't know, far enough apart that the first nuke exploding doesn't destroy the rest of them lol.

Honestly, I think that even adding higher tier gear is power creep in a sense. One thing that video in the link talks about is leaving a game when you have awesome gear, stats, etc, and coming back and finding out that you're gear isn't the standard anymore. Or the top end. That could happen in RS. Although RS progresses more slowly - the whip was the best weapon in the game until dungeoneering came out. That was like 5 years lol.

Yeah. They need to fix that imo - giving monsters weaknesses so that melee the best answer 90% of the time (should only be 33% of the time) is good, but they took it too far. Imo, you shouldn't be FOCED to multi class in RS. Mage, melee and range should be effective on all non-boss monters imo. One of them being clearly superior is better, but all 3 combat styles should be viable against like 90% of RS monsters... And chat ofc needs to be fixed.

Do goliaths gloves still work in the beta tho? As in, do they still count as powerful crush weapon? What, if any abilities can you use with them? @ Above: you have no reason to think pernix boots, armadyl buckler, etc, will be SoF reward. I mean, maybe they'll be available there like quite a bit of other high level gear, but it won't be the only source. Basically, you sound like that you're (at best) indifferent to pvp. Most of your anger seems to be that you think Jagex will screw over slayer with this update. Keep in mind what SS with the ults can do, not to mention that you can probably last in a lot of places indefinitely with a shield ult. It really seems to early to say, especially since this IS a beta, something I don't think a lot of players remember lol. Also, spirit shields are being redone. Depending on what they do with them, removing prayer reqs could make sense.

I'm not in the beta myself, but the last video (or was it second last? the one that introduced dual wielding) suggests that you should be able to use magic and something else.

From what I've heard, it needs A LOT of improvement. I hope this beta is more for letting the players balance the combat triangle then bug testing and such.

If 3 dose brew + 1 super restore dose = 1 rocktail... With flasks, 4 inventory spots gives you 18 brew doses and 6 super restore doses, correct? That's 6 rocktails.
