wat Also, double block list seems ingenious. The quest... the whole making a dungeon thing for your friends to traverse could be interesting. Also interested in the additional rewards part of it. Can't really say from just the BTS. Duo slayer seems like nice update, even if I probably wouldn't use it even if I ever worked on my task lol. 10 year is interesting. Not sure about the Gielinor games. Some of it seems dumb tho - how accurate do I punch stuff! Sorry, save that for the people who like to record accuracy and stuff. (Incidentally I usually appreciate what they do.) Honestly, it seems like it's just a bigger holiday event, and I've stopped caring about those.

*Resisting urge to use racial jokes of Asian origin* It sucks Gwyn never got to experience the joys of gum and litter- OH DAMN IT! Well, come on, finish the joke now... I'll let you figure it out yourself, dear. In the meantime, take those pants off. I can't figure out the locker combination on your belt and require total access so I can put on these shorts for you. After all, harpies don't do well in heat. -takes off pants- I don't think I can figure that joke out btw. You wanting my pants off is too distracting. -

That's a nice way of removing any kind of dangerous single way PvP from f2p, brilliant move Jagex. Crucible is P2P? Oh dear.

Lol yeah. Good point. Sometimes it happens, even to the best of games (probably.) Maybe not Star Craft in South Korea because it's like their national sport or something, but yeah :P And you really shouldn't be surprised when it happens when the beta is out lol. -

I think there's something funny about how virtually every time scape crashes, the way I find it is from tif. It's very rare that I'll actually be online at that point. -

I disagree with that statement. The reason it attracts us is because we've spent so much time in it. WoW players would probably feel the same about WoW. Diablo players might feel the same way about Diablo. As for initial attraction, that's probably some combination of how accessible RS is (I played it for like a year as an F2P player and it was easier to get into without worrying about downloading and installing or buying anything) and friends. (A friend introduced me to RS.) What makes RS special to you is probably just the amount of time you've invested into it. And, since you've likely been playing for years, that means you've been playing long enough to put on nostalgia glasses. And it means when something goes wrong you get mad instead of moving on. Hate to break it to you, but I don't think there's actually anything that special about RS. It's a video game, it's an MMORPG and it's unique in its own ways.

How do you tag two? I'm assuming you can only tag one monster at a time. If that's the case, I don't see how you are tagging two dragons. Unless you by being the first person to smack the dragon after it spawns, which doesn't make it much different from the current system. I think a tagging type system (which, in spirit, is kind of how the current single-combat system works), can be good because it means a person with lowest stats and lesser gear can compete with a person with higher stats and gear for kills. Like the current system, I think it's best if we have some areas that are single combat, meaning the first person to smack it will get the exp and drops, but also include multi combat areas where the person who does the most damage gets the exp and drops.

Pretty much what the other two guys said. Send her a text saying you're turning your phone off because you need to sleep for tomorrow, then turn your phone off and go to sleep. Your fault for continuing the conversation, honestly.

Dropping efficiency on 1 skill for money making
Sir_Squab replied to zoth01's topic in Help and Advice
Honestly, look into frost dragon. There's some competition, but with a small amount of hopping you should find a world without too much competition. Say, spending 90% of your time fighting a frost dragon or dealing with their drops. And they're consistent. RC just seems like a bad idea with the upcoming combat update. Other then that, rocktails, grenwalls? Fyi, judging by your stats, you should be able to make at least 1.5m an hour at frost dragons, whereas Rocktails, working backwards from 100k exp/h, you'll around 530k gp per hour max. Dunno about grenwalls, I have heard they're one of the best skilling ways to make money :P -
Single combat was made so that there are areas where you DON'T have to worry about kill stealing. Tag system could maybe use work, but we need a system in some areas of the game to prevent kill stealing. Why would you want to have areas where you don't have to worry about kill stealing? It's perfectly possible to not worry about kill stealing even in multicombat areas. Multi encourages people to bring their best, rather than afking with suboptimal gear and a bunyip. It's the best way to encourage people to be active in combat, better than abilities. The best system to prevent kill stealing is glacor-style multi where you can use a familiar/barrage but still only attack one target at the time. I can see systems like that working in non-cannon areas like Kuradal's and the slayer dungeon. But it's better to have most of RS multi. I can't figure out if you're disagreeing with me or not. You ask why there should be areas where you don't have to worry about kill stealing and then talk positively about an area where you don't have to worry about kill stealing? Glacors aren't really multicombat. They're coded to be multi-combat, but considering you only fight one Glacor at time, can't fight the Glacor someone else is fighting, it's single combat. The fact that titans work and you can end up fighting 4 NPCs (the Glacor and 3 glacytes) doesn't really count. The titan is an extension of the player and the Glacytes are an extension of the one Glacor you're fighting. I gotta say tho, Glacor style "multi-combat" seems a lot simpler then this target system tho. "Someone else is fighting this monsters" is a lot more intuitive then not getting exp because the monster has an asterix.

Depends on the sentence. If I say "I wanna go to the mall" vs "I wanna go to the ****ing mall" the swear adds nothing to the sentence. A famous case of swearing was Gone With the Wind and the line "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn." The D word was actually considered a swear back then, and it really added something to the line. But there needs to be a reason for swears, and in modern culture you can, depending on who you're talking to or listening to, you will hear swear words as essentially filler words in a sentence, which add nothing to it. Banned because I felt the need to say all this.

First thing I thought of when I read that. I wish they would provide the reasoning behind this change because I thought the per hit xp worked really well. Pretty sure the tag thing disappears after 10 seconds. Also, were Jagex to make it that you can only tag one monster at a time (which may or may not already be how it works), you can't run around smacking several different monsters and let cannon DPS do the work. First thing I thought of when I read that. I wish they would provide the reasoning behind this change because I thought the per hit xp worked really well. I also want to know whether exp will be awarded upon kill or upon hit. Say a monster has 500 lp in the new system. You tag it and hit 100 on it, awarding 40 experience in attack. Now, some other guy comes over and hits 400 on it which awards him nothing. I don't really understand that. It would make much more sense if experience was awarded upon kill as opposed to hit, that way others wouldn't just destroy your exp per hour for "fun." As far as I can tell, you get exp per kill. You get exp for your TAGGED kill, so if you tag a monster and hit 100, then some guy hits 400 on it, you get all the exp and drops, lol. I assume Jagex will have some true multicombat areas where you can't tag stuff.
