  1. Kind of like people who insist runescape is anything other then a shit game Why are you on here if you dont like the game... does not compute :wall: I'm starting to realise that some people can't stay away from RS, even when they say they hate it, some appear to particularly enjoy winding up those who enjoy it. Relevant to the rant too, there are players who cannot stand the fact that another person may have a better or preferred way of playing the game, we've all seen them posting on this forum at various times  RS is addicting. There's also the fact that you can see with lots of TV shows - they love to hate it. People enjoy having something they can discuss with their friends about how much it sucks. I can tell you one thing, if someone irl asked me if they should play RS, or were interested in it or something - I'd probably tell them not to. Lol. Also, according to an article on cracked, which is a very reputable site where they only post information after they've done plenty of research into making sure it's true, humans actually use debate as a way to gain social superiority over someone. Therefore, our brains are wired so first we use the emotional side to come up with opinions, then use the logical side to "make it work" as it were. Our brains are wired so that winning a debate is more important then facts and logic.
  2. Huzza~! It's back! =D Now when's part V ;)
  3. Implying I have to write a harpy erotica that displays every fetish I might/currently have to satisfy you. Pretty much. Start writing.
  4. They weren't 'fair' they were 'stupid'. You consider them fair because they were easier to kill/run away from than the average pker. This was never their intention. They could even be made to flee with a summoning familiar scroll! Sorry, but the wilderness was not dangerous with revenants. It wasn't even remotely challenging. It was as empty as a park. If you think that revenants were challenging, then your skills are woefully underdeveloped. And if you think having absolutely no chance at winning or escape is simply "dangerous" then you are ignorant. Danger implies a chance of survival however small it may be. And Runescape is not a game of skill. It is a game of who can put in more hours per day at building your stats. You know, it seems odd that someone complaining about overly leveled pures has 99 mage, maxed melee, 97 range, and if you're really worried you could just take a pack-yack full of brews... I mean, except for a steel titan, or maybe really expensive gear, I can't think of anything a PK'er would PK you with that you don't have or have easy access to. If I'm wearing Bandos, a mage could annihilate me easily with a few clicks. Metal armor=extremely weak to magic regardless of melee level. Entangle/Teleblock/ then about three hits with earth or fire surge and it's all over. This from a good distance away where I can't even make an attempt at fighting back unless I happen to have brought range equipment or runes of my own. Last time some little kid attacked me I had 20 sharks on me. I barely escaped eating all but four of them. You are right though it is odd that RS should allow the pvp system to be so skewed. Makes no sense. Only thing I can figure is they're really trying to capitalize on the 11-15 year old market being that's the mentality that attracts pkers. Your fault for wearing bandos. Oh, and not having a Yack with 20 more sharks. And I'm only saying that because you CAN use a yack. It's called not wearing valuables to the wilderness lol. Wear black dragon hide - good mage def, extremely cheap. Maybe wear a cheap shield for added melee def. PKers might get their last edge out of using tactical approach and they will always win against a monster with the same traits. But a pker that has low stats isn't dangerous, the same as an incredibly stupid monster with high stats IS dangerous. And I don't agree that PvP is so rapidly changing that they will be obsolete soon. In essence, there's not so much that has changed about runescpaes combat system. In the end, you're still whacking each others with weapons and hope for a high hit. Skill matters a lot with PKing, sure, but the max hits and defence bonuses you can get with your equipment still matters more. Also...I'm not! tagging all PKers as griefers. Griefers are those hanging out for example on 60 and going after penguin hunters. They know they won't be getting much loot, they know they will likely not get an interesting enemy. They're there to ruin other people's fun because they like it, and that's what a griefer is. As for "my fun is more important than theirs!"....well, I differentiate here. If "they" are PKers, then no. if "they" are griefers, then yes. I don't think griefers should be catered to or welcomed in any game. I find it to be quite disgusting really. That's probably why I hate being killed by one of those guys so much. You could hop off world 60. Protip: the wilderness was actually around before pengs. Or hell, just barrage them back, you have 96 magic. Or everybody bumrush him with a DDS? Skip the peng, wear dragon hide to avoid mage freezing, fight him back, hop worlds...
  5. Well, times change. Prices are worth what people will pay for them. Out of curiosity, is it possible for chins to reach a price where they aren't profitable enough to hunt (compared to other alternatives) and yet still be too expensive to buy? I also wonder, from an efficiency standpoint, could hunting chins be worth it to combine hunt exp with saving on chins? ...At any rate. RS is an MMO with a capitalist economy. Asking Jagex to nerf prices is either asking to return to the times where certain items were unbuyable on the GE because no one would sell them at the price the GE said they were worth, or to completely get rid of the GE and Free Trade altogether and move towards a more "single player" economic system, with NPCs buying and selling unlimited items at a fixed rate.
  6. The Jagex store was better when they actually sold merchandise, rather then just use a 3rd company to make custom clothes.
  7. Apparently there are and when asked why they come out with a blurb about they have stuff for every skill; which seems nonsensical to me. I have a decent array of combat gear, probably more than is strictly useful, supplies for all skills neccessary, supplies specifically for doing shattered heart, a HUGE tab of "getting around" stuff with all sorts of teleports and keys in, a Tab of "junk" stuff that I like costume wise and won;t go into poh and a fairly full tab of uri items. Plus my consumables tab is setup with a "potion grid" (a pile of 4,3,2 and 1 doses of each potion) to stop me losing them and then months later being like ohh I have 300 2 dose ppots. Plus an assortment of handy for quest items. And I STILL have hundreds of spaces free. About all I could add to my bank that would be of actual use is herb seeds (I sell em all atm as I'm a lazy farmer and just do trees for xp) and seconds for summoning (which I buy as needed) It's not even like the 99s I have mean I've cleared out the item heavy skills, after all fishing, wc, mining, fletching, cooking and fm are all only like 2 - 5 item skills. tl;dr: People with full banks blaming it on "having stuff for every skill" just have poorly organised junk filled banks and if they were less oblivious to what is and is not useful they could easily shed a good 100-200 items. Eg rc specific items you need like 6 (possibly 7) items, not a whole tab of talismans: Wicked hood, 4 pouches, 1 pile of essence; the extra 7th would be grahak(sp?) for nat crafting. My bank has been near full for years. But unlike many people I see here, I don't pretend that my bank isn't full of useless junk. I trim down my bank if I get too close to the limit, irregardless of what the current limit might be. The only times my bank has been full was for ZMI. In all honesty, I'm with the people who wonder how one can actually be troubled for bank space. (Unless you have a huge effigy hoard.) Although I guess a big part of that would be willing to sell things to the GE you don't use, but might need in the forseeable future.
  8. That feeling you get when someone elses Glacor rape spikes hits you.
  9. Stfu cow before I turn you into a burger! Just kidding, I love you <3: <3: <3: <3:
  10. Welcome to the new, our newest harpie!
  11. Tbh, if you have level 80 summon, just use one of the elemental titans everywhere. Healing/combat familiar ftw.
  12. The idea is that once they are done with it, you will not need to do so. By "done with it" you mean "fix up the bugs," which again, my idea has far, far less since there wouldn't be ANY issues of not being able to use a tool in your toolbelt for a slightly more obscure task. Also, being able to take items out of your toolbox to use them and using them while in the toolbox are not mutually exclusive. The only reasons I see to be able to take items out of your toolbelt are: 1) bugs when you cannot use your tool because it is in the toolbelt (which should be fixed so this would not be a reason to do it and in most cases you can take the same item with you in your invetory to do the same thing) 2) the spade for treasure trails and quests (which is the only valid reason I see for it) -shrugs- A failsafe against potential glitches and not forgetting the [giant stream of profanity] spade at barrows. Now that we agree on two valid reasons why we SHOULD be able to take it out, want to come up with reasons why we shouldn't? EDIT: One or two more reasons to allow items to be removeable on the toolbelt. You could make it so that you lose items from there on death. Preferably not all of them, but if items could be taken out of it, then you could put a dragon pickaxe/hatchet in. Also, they said they didn't put the sextant in because of the way you have to use it. If items were removeable from the toolbelt, the sextant could be put in.

  16. There's a difference between blunt honesty and cruelty, as fine as that line might be.
  17. After all, isn't Darwinism sort of meaningless in our over-protective society? You could go out right this very moment and crash a waverunner into a Taco Bell and, rather than throwing a short but joyous party on top of your mangled, spicy corpse to celebrate the effectiveness of natural selection, the bystanders will probably still call an ambulance to try and save your life. There is literally no point at which society considers you too retarded to save. It could make for a very awkward date.
  18. The database was dumped publicly actually. The only people it really hurt are those with poor account security and those who used the same password for their RS account and TIF. Still probly where they got my damn email. And I had to change a few passwords, though none RS related.
  19. Click on the part in the bottom left where it says the number of pages and a "jump to page" option should appear.
  20. So, I have a sad story to tell. Just got my first "Your account has received an infraction" attempt-to-steal-password email that made it past my spam/junk filter.
  21. rsn "i dont dg" this is like triplefour-hundred and thirty-five-ple my current cashpile ftfy?
  22. This is why I keep constantly repeating that we should be able to take items out of the toolbox.
  23. We did it faster :twss: And harder. and kinkier. All night long.
