  1. It's not that one will replace the other, it's that now we will have both. Jagex have not shown us that they can deal with the bots now, how could they possibly deal with more bots when this update goes through? Judging by what they said they just had a breakthrough in the last month or so with bot technology. I understand people not wanting to read what they say though considering they're too busy worrying about how terrible runescape is going to become.
  2. It says the removal of price caps, I see this hurting manipulation groups severely.
  3. Go to green dragons and red chinchompa's and make a gif. Then we can compare 2010 against 2007 bots.
  4. I can live with all the pures and children voting, as long as I get free trade back. I weighed the pros and the cons before I voted yes. Most people don't believe the naysayers when they say bots will run rampant.
  5. Apparently the community isn't as divided as tip.it made it out to be. 89% of 107,436 people want the vote to pass. Now no one can complain about not being able to say no.
  6. I'm a fallout fan, best of luck with your goals.
  7. They must be against those kissing guys or whatever the hell she put in that video.
  8. It can only go uphill now that we're past page 69.
  9. Tripsis done shut down the /obt/.
  10. There was a 19 day period between the release of the grand exchange and the removal of free trade. During those 19 days free trade and the Ge coexisted. Why wouldn't it work again like it did then?
  11. The good outweighed the bad back then.. I only ran into bots when woodcutting that actually hindered the way I played.. People think it's going to be mass pandemonium and I don't believe it would change the state of the game as much as the naysayers are saying. Now, if I was a junk trader or a price manipulator I would be pretty worried. But for a bored level 138 I really welcome some change to spice things back up a bit.
  12. We pay we say!! Bring Wildy Back!@! Jagex: Your wish is our command. Now give us 7 dollars a month and we will get on this and post a glorious poll on the main page to make even more money from you rioters.
  13. Seems to me people don't like change. When they changed the hp to constitution people were raging and saying they were going to quit.. This reminds me of those people.
  14. I fully understand the consequences to bringing back pre-December 10th 2007 Runescape. Sure a lot of old problems will come back, but it's not like it is perfect now. Instead of seeing a cluster of bots fighting over a green dragon spawn, we'll see resources clogged with them. Free trade and the freedom to kill or be killed was what made runescape unique back then. Bringing this back will create old problems but I'm sure Jagex has thought of this for 3 years to sort out a way to keep it under control.
  15. His brother, other brothers involved with the company are Mark and Paul Gower.
  16. I could care less about Pking, I'm just interested in free trade. I never really Pked but I remember how awesome it was having a free market that wasn't as easy to be manipulated by large groups of merchants. It would be nice if we seen the return of markets that sell commodities in certain game areas. I remember Yannile bank being the fletching guild, Camelot being a great place to buy fletching supplies west of the bank, and of course Fally garden. It is possible to still keep the Grand Exchange implemented into the game as it was from the 26th of November up until the 10th of December, 2007..
  17. ["hide=text here"] ["/hide"] take out the " and you're set. I don't have the QFC, maybe someone else can help you with that.
  18. A massive marketing scheme, Kimberly hit it on the nail.. No reason what so ever that Jagex would actually listen to their players with such a massive decision. They probably have had this in development for ages and just ironed out all the problems that would occur with real world trading if and when they re-release the wild and free trade.
  19. Cheap skilling supplies, I'm sure the yew tree's will be packed again..
  20. That doesn't look fake at all.. Seriously, from a business standpoint misleading people into thinking that free trade has a chance of returning then ripping the carpet out from under them would be suicide.. This voting is fabricated with the only intent to cause a buzz and increase revenue. They are basically forced into adding free trade and some sort of wilderness at this point.
  21. Runescape was becoming dull to me. After all these years of playing a game without free trade, this might sound bad to some, but I really would enjoy free trade alone. Even with the bots, I would be happy. I dealt with them back then, really didn't bother me.
  22. Thread by Blind_Auror. It's on the same page as this one.
  23. Can we correlate the leaked torva armour with this?
  24. Good event, I had troubles with timing stuff since my college wifi is pretty terrible. Finished them all pretty fast though still.
  25. If they revamp the smithing table and add torva as an ore as well as a monster drop then it could fall in line to be equivalent to dragon defense wise or maybe one tier above.
