it's just too bad we can't keep sending back things for reworks because there's an endless line of visual content that keeps getting mangled but they ship it anyway and they seem to be incapable of having an entire modeling team which understands visual design when they take the concept drawings in for translation
as for the legacy vote
i have zero confidence in the playerbase to actually determine whether or not something will be beneficial for the game based on what is actually there, as opposed to something that they imagine they want, but does not actually exist

http://services.runescape.com/m=news/legacy-mode-beta---update
was reverted
wasn't listed as a bug, so they were probably trying it out
tbh, if they're planning to do smithing tier rework further down the line, this is probably something that has to be met head on or else it'll just complicate things even further the longer we wait to make the change

Well, JAG's turning off "later this summer" anyway, so they're not going to provide a choice between the two. Probably gonna cannibalize the JAG resources to put up the authenticator.

I guess people just have zero faith in the art team?
They could just go back to making everything uniformly lumpy and hire Chinese students to do all the models. Then all the armor can be made entirely out of dongflaps shaped into tanktops.

it's not even power creep, they just never designed the game to work with all the levels it had, and then pushed everybody into that zone when they made skillcapes and then in a third genius stroke, designed the game around those players rather than the ones that their content was actually meant to serve
if they had just capped the levels where their content ended, they could have saved themselves all the trouble
-
oh, so did they fix that hybrid lowering accuracy for everything bs

i really enjoy the part of EoC where I don't keep missing because I haven't passed some threshold that is not actually indicated anywhere in all of the useless crap numbers that the game shows
which is why i'll really like when they start reintroducing useless crap numbers

I thought the first decline was when they stripped free trade out of the game

maaaan, the reaper title should be for pvp kills or just total kills, not boss kills
-
i enjoyed fighting opponents over mining them

wouldn't tradable juju potions kill the herb market
-
eh, if they give us those massive agility chunks, i'll agree to anything

yeah, when you talk about it that way, achievements meant more when people actually did them because they wanted to, not because they felt like they had to
which is why i like my shark tooth necklace

i guess that would explain why some hunter traps seem to be completely invisible

So wait, stuff only gets fixed if a mod makes a swear filled video out of it?
Actually, I think I like that development.

i never really got why i keep playing a game where the common mentality is to do stupid things to ruin the game if it is possible to do so, especially right after benefiting from a recovery system out of the kindness of a normally unsympathetic game company with normally terrible security standards
but i suppose there are worse things, says the theoretical situation fairy

tbh, while construction is overdue, it's probably not the most pressing issue as compared to the whole item creating tier system and stuff like how prayer is trained, and what that requires
summoning needs more of a rework in the sense that it was never actually made that useful for combat below level 90 summoning, and most of the familiars are just terrible filler all the way through

while i liked the old quests, they relied a lot on there still being mystery in gielinor, instead of interacting with shit on the level of the elder gods, so i'm not sure if we can really go back, unless it's sidequest material like pirates or penguins, of which a lot of people seem to be annoyed at because it's sidequest material

What if i want to go DIY to create my own urns, craft my own rings for divination, or farm my own marrentill for the altar burners?High levels shouldn't be gathering low level resources
then you'd be gathering it at the same maximum rate as somebody who was like, maybe ten levels above the requirement, or had the sense to just go murder some chaos druids/abby specs for low level herbs while employing a macaw, or lrc gold mine
oh my god that's so slow aaaaaah
(in reality, you'd just have that effing soft clay spot in elf city, i mean, come on)
-
right, there might as well be a speed cap on lower level stuff anyway, because it's not as if they need the boost

well, i didn't say it was possible REDEEMING character development

skillchompas are useful when:
A) you're too lazy to go do grenwalls via giant chin tickets
B) you want to hunt something that actually grants you a decent rate of exp + something you can sell or skill with
C) you hate lizards
