Yes, it's been done before... Another one of my abstract sigs with tech borders: It looks too plain without a big border. No render? What's wrong with that? If you can find a fitting render go ahead. Change the text? Wow. That's so helpful. Thanks for describing how it doesn't look right. Why are you saying it's a new style then when you completely contradicted yourself in the quoted post and your original post. If you can read properly (which you have proven you can't) i said those borders suit signatures with renders, and i also said i would get rid of the border, THIS MEANS that i would have neither border, nor render; clear enough? Yes change the text, sarcasm rocks doesn't it - it's your sig, not mine. Ok you're just frustrating me and not helping at all... Go away...

Well... 1) Excuses? You may call them that. 2) I don't often complain unless it doesn't actually help, or doesn't go with what I'm trying to achieve. 3) Maybe to you, but to me it doesn't really matter... People who know what they're talking about have more important views in my eyes... So if you were playing football, and your coach tells you to play in a certain position, but some bystand tells you to go play in another position, who do you listen to? ;) 4) I have my friends here, and you're not one, I know you don't like me, and I can't say I'm happy about that, but meh. 5)Update: I know text is no good in this - haven't changed it - forgot about it. =\

it sounds more like you were throwing a fit about it. But aside from that, the way the sig was composed doesnt generally matter as long as it looks good. Now if your trying to practice technique- which im almost certain Gold isnt, might wanna double check on that- then yes you would focus on how it was made and now what it looks like. I was trying to get a decent-looking, bright sig.

That'd lose a certain part of the skin though. Though you could do that, and just put black on the colour layer where his skin is, and where you want to keep the colour.

There is just more than 1 layer of brushes and a border, you know. I put effort in this to make it look decent and you go and ignore the whole point of the signature and start taking as if you're the best ever. I just spent 3+ hours on a new sig, it was coming on great, I was just about to save it and I had a power cut. I'm really pissed off now so excuse the temper. Thanks, Axe, yeh, this I think looks better without a render, despite being no focal point... Perhaps a wavy, glowing, aura-ish line or two through the middle would help that? Cad, I tried to blend in the border more... The edges are very dark, yet any lighter and it just looked strange. Text, I also tried to blend in, I have 2 duplicate layers of some kind of layer that I forget the name of. -_-' Yeh, it could do with a contrast/brightness layer, or a curves layer I guess. Thanks for all the comments. :) Looking at it myself now, again, I do see it's a little plain... I might just go make those changes soon and post. :)

Well the animation is small and hardly noticable. Taking that out will help a lot.

Normally 1px black and a 3px white on overlay looks really good. Loving the new one, though the dots on top of th erender should be less opaque.

There's a stroke all around.

Well to be honest you weren't too helpful yourself either. And I do appologise for my lack of expertise I just said what I thought about it. A question to clear things up for me :D: 1) what is this new style of yours? is it the space look? or that barrier thing? -> I'm not too familiar with your 'normal' style. :| by the context remark, I mean that the space theme doesn't go well with the barrier and visa versa. that's why I proposed changing the barrier. (as I said not an expert =P~ ) as for the brightness: If it's what you were going for fair enough. But it does seem a bit too bright atleast on this comp (work comp). I'll have a better look at home. The new style is the whole sig... Barrier? Space? What are you talking about!? :lol:

Well... 1) It's supposed to be bright... That's the style... 2)Context? What?? How do you get context in an image? Ok you really made no sense to me there whatsoever. 3) The border is supposed to be translucent... It'd look pretty terrible if it wasn't. 4) The left isn't bright at all.. I'm guessing you mean right... In which case, see #1. Sorry guys but what you just posted didn't help me at all... Hoping to see some better critics. >_<

These are absolutely great... Really nice, mega. Just 1 suggestion: Anti-alias the edges... It just looks a little sharp in places... I'll go show you an example in a minute...

1) Download 2) Find file 3) Unzip if necessary 4) Ctrl+C (Copy) brush file 5) Go to C:\Program Files\PhotoShop CS2\Presets\Brushes 6) Ctrl+V (Paste) in there. I think that's the correct file location. Can't be bothered to check. =\

There's actually a tome at the barrows... Can't remember its name... (The Barrows in RS, as yuo go through the hole in the stone wall to get into the hillock parts, you'll see a red dot on your minimap in the little building - that's the tome of something)
