It seems our standards for success have been lowered dramatically.
My expectations for the US have hit rock bottom after all those years of Bush. The fact that people have actually voted for him twice makes me not ever want to go to the US.
So yes, he didn't bomb anything yet, so it's all great.

Delay isn't always the first step on the road the cancellation. Look at Blizzard, for example; Starcraft 2 has been delayed for years now, but its still definitely going to come out. I'm just happy Jagex is really focusing on creating a quality game.
Also, I personally don't think its that weird to see this kind of thing happen. It's only in the late stages of development that a game is actually starting to be playable as the consumer would play it. They probably had a lot of great ideas that didn't really mesh and ended up creating less-than-stellar experience.
No, no, certainly not always, but cancellation is just more likely now. That's all I ment to say.

Although delay is the first step to cancelling... yes, it has not been cancelled (yet). It all sounds quite weird. They're in their late stages of development and suddenly discover that it ain't good.

Thanks you're the only person who's actually replied, even on my second thread :P And the guy who said get maxed, i'm working on it. Give me another 2 years. Pink would be epic with infinity, but why is it taking them so long. SO they don't tell you guys about updates ahead of time or anything like that?
Oh and by flame threads i mean all the maxed players making fun of each other, and calling each other nerds who play 24/7 and stuff.
Well sometimes we know tiny tidbits of stuff, but nothing important. After all, if they leak something to us, it's bound to be on the rest of the internet within minutes. Maxed cape and the elite tasks for the Ardougne achievement diary are examples. But honestly, we don't know that much more. It's easy to get information though, because Mod Mark (lead designer) is very eager to answer our questions. But that's all just non-confidential information.
Oh, and we generally don't make fun of one another. Not very mature. Although it's not always that mature in the high level forum :P Actually, some people (I can think of one in particular but won't name anyone) are just pathetic. And I can say that the total play time differs quite a lot between maxed players. I thought I was bad... but I've seen people that have played about twice as much as me in half of the time.
Oh well.

* Probably not pink. Lots of people voted for pink, but I doubt that'll be the colour. Oh and it probably won't come out till the next skill is here.
News from them? Not really. People ask questions, sometimes Jmods reply.. something interesting comes up.. but nothing in particular I can remember. It's a handy forum from time to time though.

I thought they were busy to make it perfect.. meaning all the basics of the game had been done. Wouldn't that mean they simply made a mess of the whole developing process if they only discovered just know that the game isn't what it should be?

Could just have been a beta that got leaked. Finetuning could be done in a later stage. Though that might just be wishful thinking.
