  1. I personally think a lot of people on this game have Asperger's. With the intense obsession some people have while playing, it's hard for me to not believe they are a little autistic.

Actually that sounds more like a compulsive-obsessive disorder, lol.

    1. It's obsessive-compulsive.

    2. Aspies/autistics tend to be OCD about the things they're into.

    1. Think you know what I ment, but alright I stand corrected.

    2. Yes, but (for example) being obsessed with one particular thing and doing it constantly points more toward OCD. But anyways it's not much use discussing a case that was made up. And I think it might even be called addiction. But your point is true.

  3. The people who you depict in your topic start look more like complete morons to me. Doubt it's autism. Autistic people don't understand the world around. They focus incredibly on details, take everything literally (don't understand sarcasm), avoid eye contact, etc. It's an impairment of social interaction.. and that doesn't include typing nonsense on your keyboard.

I'm sure there's autism in Runescape, with that much players... but the people described in the topic start ain't autists. Or they just use it as an excuse to act like a complete jackass.

  4. Dan, I meant that it offers me nothing related to Runescape, due obviously to the nondisclosure agreement. Because of that, it's them telling us about them going bowling with some J-mods, hence it has no benefit or interest to me.

Great to know that you are, once again, not interested in something.

  5. As a high herblorist, I am thrilled about this update. It gives me more advantages in monster hunting, and an advantage over people who didn't train their herblore. So, there's only benefits from this update. And it finally justifies not selling all the herbs I got from farming which decreased the profit I got from 99 farm/herb.

  6. Epic update. Again. Last few weeks have been amazing.

Anyways, how much will my combat stats rise from 99 if I drink an extreme potion? And will the overload potion do the same, but instead to all combat stats? And ofcourse, inflict 50 damage. Wondering if it's worthwile to "upgrade" my super sets to extreme or overload potions for slayer.

  7. Or they could make two or three servers. wait out the initial rush, then add more as necessary, if necessary. See? Short term pain for long term gain. For everyone!

The fun part of their proposal is that you can set up RSC the way you want to. RSC was quite hard compared to RS2, so if you want to let your players enjoy the game with all its content, you could set the xp to 3 times as much, or something like that. With a few neat customizations, RSC could we played in a variety of ways to suit everyone's interests. Also, don't forget this is a solution to solve RWT and macroing. They had to come up with something that prevents this. So therefore it's a good solution.

Also, I'm wondering if this will, in fact, reduce illegal private servers. If you can already set up a private server illegally for free, why would you pay to rent one?

For free? What about the costs of hosting the server? ;) And often, those private servers are suffering from bugs.. probably from reverse engineering the code (that's my guess). With a Jagex hosted RSC server, you don't have bugs, and it saves you the hassle of hosting a server.

As you can see, there are 5 penguins all at one spot there. For those of you who want easy points, get them while you can. As the title says, they can be found at world 145 inside the wall in Yanille, just north of the bank.

Now, does anyone know how they got there? It doesn't look like they were supposed to be there, lol. It's a strange location for a penguin in the first place. Has anyone seen something like this before?

you didn't got my point at all -.- i didn't meant limiting to p2p, i meant limiting to paying extra\mems each month, and not by "renting servers" - as this paying way might cause problems and will turn new classic to ghost-town.

I see you ment it slightly different than I thought, but my point still stands: whenever these "ghost towns" arise, servers will shut down (it's no fun paying for a server that isn't used), and only the good ones remain, which people will play.

  12. well when it cost to rent a server to play, that might create huge problem.

for the first days alot will buy out of curios, and all will enjoy it in first few weeks.

like every "nice to have" thing it'll turn into a ghost town, as there will be less and less payers, and after couple of good hours the averge player will say "okay i had enought of this old version, time to go back to runtek5"

i'm suggesting jagex to give it to members only, yes it might make some f2p'ers angry, but after all we pay, so they can use it for paying the servers - even if it means to raise our currect payment. or maybe even let us chose if to pay abit more monthly to be able to play "modern classic". that's the only way, all the work into reviving it won't make it useless few weeks after release.

about else that isn't connected to payment:

simply awsome, sounds too good to be true :o

It's pretty stupid to only let P2P'ers pay for a server. There is no reason at all to limit it. People who want a server, should be able to get one. If you're afraid that there will be too many servers... then the problem will solve itself. Once the initial rush is over, a few good servers will remain, and people will play those.

Limiting it to P2P doesn't do anything but annoy people.
