  1. 40 billon, my apologies. And I got them from selling my military. There's the updated one. Though, I forget if I added the South Africa gold deal in. Meh. -- Building of a naval shipyard in Constanta has commenced. It will cost around $700m per year (half from budget, half from reserve) and be finished in 5 years. (added Hungary's gold reserve - 3.1 tonnes)
  2. I don't even really have a miliary. My reserves. I have like...80 billion dollars of them.
  3. Specifically implying that notes do not neccessarly have to equal the amount of Gold in your bank...Thus exchanging Notes for Gold is a little like shooting yourself in the foot...though is far more sensible in the long term, in the short term you are screwed. It's irrelevant as I'm paying with USD, wheras my currency is the Slavic Leu.
  4. Talk to some of the guys who run the server at your dorm. They might be able to put you on the ok list.
  5. How? If anything it would increase the value of gold, since it's being bought and put in reserve, rather than going on the market for sale normally. The Slavic Republic has sent a delegation to Switzerland to discuss the banking switchover. It has also proposed the building of multiple electricity lines to help distrubute the load and lessen the risk of a catastrophic overload due to over-use of the sole existing line.
  6. The tax rate within the Slavic Republic has dropped down to 15%. This, coupled with recent UN intervention in the Palestinean-Israeli conflict headed by the SR has led to record high approval ratings for the conservative ruling party, and the government of the Slavic Republic as a whole. The People's Party of the Republic (PPR) has been formed, citing social liberalism and fiscal conservatism as its ideological leanings, and seeks to bring the Slavic Republic to a state of hyper-development and break the idea of Eastern Europe being poor when compared to the West. It also seeks to improve foreign relations with Russia and Germany, despite the deep-rooted dislike of Russian imperalistic ideals, and German militarism. The Slavic Republic has concluded a 'secret' deal (I have to tell you, but you won't know what country the deal is with) with an un-named country for the sale of the remainder of the Hungarian armed forces' equipment, and the order of 100,000 AK47s, and 30,000 technicals. The SR will make 50 tonnes of gold, as well as $25b from this sale. Education reform withing the SR is going well, also. Many students have begun seeking work with their lengthened free time. Jobs are readily available due to the rapidly booming economy of the Republic, and this move has led to an increase in productivity within the workplace by around 1-2%. Many companies and corporations within specialized industries that formerly held headquarters and manufacturing centres in Geneva are setting up in the Slavic Republic, after having leaving Switzerland (kind of expensive to get trucks built in Switzerland out if you have to drive over a couple hundred minefields on the way). Compaq, Stemedica, Weatherford International, STMicroelectronics, the Mediterranean Shipping Company, JT International, Hewlett Packard, DuPont, Serono, and SITA have all made the switch to establishing headquarters within Bucharest. *A large-scale re-building of the finanancial district within Bucharest is also being planned, with many homes in the area being purchased by the SR government to clear a larger area for the district. Some families do not want to move, but many are jumping at the offer to sell their home for above-market value. *A massive cleanup of the Dâmboviţa River is also planned, to help present the image of Bucharest as a shining example of a modern city. *Total cost for these projects is estimated at roughly $80b USD, to be paid for over the course of 10 years. (10b of the NOK in reserve, + 5b of the USD in reserve is being used to help pay for the above two projects - rest will be taken out of the budget) -- Alright, I think I only have around 200-300m left to spend each year from my yearly budget (not including reserve funds), so I have to wait for some existing projects to finish. Doop de doop. Let's see how far I can stretch these last pennies (ha!).
  7. OUR? Sere if you going to use your position as mod to take control over the UK to add more flavour to the game, please make a distinction between when you're playing as moderator and when you're just playing [as the US].
  8. I'm daunting the learning curve in EU3, I need to set aside like...2 weeks to even get a rough grasp over what is going on. Idk if EU would be a better one, considering such ideas like 'democracy' aren't even represented. I just take one I found on google and edit it in MS Paint. This is the one I used: Little bit of copy+paste, and flipping some images: The Slavic Republic welcomes the help from India. Lol they've been sending in troops and forcibly evicting Palestinean families from their homes for the past 40 years.
  9. 176,500. Israeli has really only been allowed to operate with impunity because it's been the US' butt-buddy in the Middle East, and so the US gets up in a fuss whenever someone buggers around with Israeli. But I doubt Sere gives a [cabbage], so now the UN is going in to stop Israeli because they're behaving like Nazis (oo delightful world plot twist). Anyways. The UN I think is in with me, but we're not fighting Israeli. We're just stopping them from fighting with the Palestineans. The SR has given the Palestinean army the following equipment (all equipment other than rifles coming from the former Hungarian army): 140,000 AK47s 200 BTR-80s (USSR APC) 40 T-72 Main Battle Tanks 20 82mm mortars 36 60mm mortars 3000 9M113 Konkurs (Anti-tank missiles) 10 Humvees 200 Mercedes-Benz Unimog (truck) 40 Mistrals (similar to Javelins - AA homing missiles) 12 2K12 Kub (mobile AA systems) 1 Frigate (naval) 2 Naval Helicopters 2 Corvettes (naval) 4 Saab JAS 39 Gripen (fighter jet) 1 Fighter Jet training plane 2 MiG-29s (fighter jet) 10 Mil Mi-24 (attk helo) 2,000 retrofitted technicals -- Significant incentives are also being offered to Hamas fighters willing to join the Palestinean army. The end goal is the same - the preservation of the Palestinean state - but joining gives them a much better chance. -- This entire operation is estimated to take around 8 years, and will cost the Slavic Republic around $12b (USD). -- Oh, and Japan is offered membership within FETA. Oh, and picture representation of the SR's poltical standing:
  10. Not in game though. [hide=Coat of Arms of the Slavic Republic]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c1/Wappen_Kaisertum_Österreich_1815_(Klein).png[/hide] I'm stopping the Israeli army from forcibly taking over Palestinean land, training the Palestinean army, rooting out Hamas, and establishing the state of Palestine. -- The military equipment of Hungary is for sale. If nobody speaks up that they want it in the next 8hrs (rl time), it will be sold to private owners. Which means everyone is going to get a nasty surprise when they start invading countries that should be extremely weak and easy to roll over.
  11. Is anyone helping me in Palestine? Sere/Arch can you update the front page?: EDIT: Nvm, it was updated already :)
  12. I think you mean secretly reveals. It's an important distinction within the Hegemony. Well you're using it as a club to smack Retech with, and then when he says stop you say "I can't control the club, it hits whoever it wants to!". Then you get mad at Retech using police to respond to a demonstartion. Glaring double-standard.
  13. Luke is released. And then promptly lynch mobbed by a bunch of Swiss nationals for not being Swiss.
  14. I have plenty of stamina. ZING --- Talks have been started with the FYROM and Croatia. Hungary has joined the SR. Which is...?
  15. Said student accidentally steps on a mustard gas mine while entering Switzerland. The Swiss laugh because he wasn't Swiss and they're xenophobic.
  16. Ok everyone mark this day. Something momentous has happened. Me and Arch agree on something!
  17. It was you wasn't it Sere. -- Yes server farms or whatever. I just don't want a centrialized S-Net system as it's too easy to tamper with.
  18. If you control RFA, then stop saying it's a private organization you have no control over whenever someone (read: Retech) challenges you on it. 10 billion dollars is a huge amount... How would the hacking of Internet Service Providers drop the value of gold? -- The SR sets up its own S-Net server in Romania, not wanting Switzerland to have sole control over the world-network (meaning Arch can just shut it down or use it to cause mass chaos on a whim). Check and balance. -- The SR lifts all existing embargoes on other countries. The SR has concluded a 5 year deal with Japan for 820 tonnes of gold for $15b USD and aid and $5b to go to South Africa to improve living conditions and stability in the region. 8,000 aid workers as well as 400 Slavic Republic soldiers have been sent to South Africa, and will help with building of roads, public housing, and water piping. 4,000 Slavic Republic soldiers have also landed in Palestine, to cheering crowds of Palestineans. 2,000 are being deployed along the Israel-Palestine border and a message has been sent to Israel demanding it stop its aggression against the Palestinean people. 500 SR troops are training the Palestinean army from the ground up, so that it doesn't need to rely on a militant group like Hamas to provide the people's sole protection. 1500 SR troops are currently fighting against Hamas militants across the state. The SR asks for the assistance of other UN countries in this edeavour.
  19. You just said "Join my trade alliance now or I'll annex you!". I really don't think that's a good way to improve foreign relations and the global image of Russia.
  20. Considering most of them just got independence from Russia a short time ago, I'm fairly certain their response would be "Go [bleep] yourself".
  21. Still working on the new alloy that can withstand the pressure. The timeframe is sometime in the next 20 years or so (for the exploration, not the alloy; alloy should take around 5 years).
