So you're mad at Faust and for that reason you've decided to attack the rest of the ship?
-
You have like 200K personal funds... Yep, fine is all paid off then. Ship Fund: 360K Nex didn't do anything during the mission so I'll claim the 30k.
-
We must free admiral dusty!

Captain Nero Position: Tactical Nationality: Terran Federation Merit: 1000 (+ Mars mission?) Energy Credits: 85,000 Inventory: Phaser (Pistol) VISOR Utility Belt Communicator Skills: Level 2 Shooting Technobabble Tokens: 9 Other Info: Ship Fund: 330,000
-
Wow, that's pretty low.
-
It's so much bigger because A. You had a larger part in what happened and B. You mutinied. I'm not off on some personal vendetta against you, you just need to understand there are certain rules that need to be followed or else everything goes to [cabbage], and that just because I'm not personally present it doesn't mean you can do whatever you like.
-
What? And if you do then the punishment will not be fair as this one is. Exactly, which is why the fine is fair, since most people would share that stuff anyways.
-
Meaningless since you were hoarding all that stuff for yourself even before this all started. Except we all now know that it was Nex who took control of the ship and messed up the entire mission because he didn't know what was going on. I've been completely fair in everything, you're just a stubborn selfish person. You'll pay 250K by whatever means you can. You don't have the power to do really anything, especially not turn the bridge into a blood bath. ---------- Faust and Theros' fine have been reduced to 20K each.
-
I don't think you understand what's going on. I'm the Captain, I say 'take it or leave it'. You saying so is meaningless. I do run this [cabbage].
-
I've read it, but I have nothing more to say. I've already explained what would happen and offered you a fairly lenient punishment for actions that would otherwise warrant your permanent removal, which you refused. So, we do things the hard way.
-
No you weren't - that was Ross that destroyed the base. You brought a bunch of drunk Russians that trashed the ship and then got killed. Which you wanted to take back. Three seperate guns, one of which you let other people use and the other two you're keeping. The stealth suit which you refuse to give to anyone else. So... The stuff that you've helped the ship with is that you've made...1 gun. Err
-
Alright then, enjoy your stay in prison Icu. ----- We should do something fun for the next session, like explore some new planet or something or try and find aliens.
-
Your crime is mutiny. Theirs is accomplice to mutiny. I'll probably refund their fines later though, since they at least understand the severity of what happened. 250K. Either you're paying that or you're rotting in some prison in Britain. We have everything basic already. Stealth generator would allow us to accomplish more missions, thus get us money faster, and upgrades faster.
-
Wait, what're you trying to explain here? THE THING YOU'RE GETTING FINED FOR IS THE MUTINY
-
Yeah that must be the only reason. 250K.
-
True but this means we may actually be able to accomplish the 'Sneak into this spot' or, 'Steal this thing' missions, thus earning us more money that could then be used to buy a refinery and bio lab and etc.
-
I was actually thinking we should get some sort of ship-wide stealth system, unless we want all our missions to end in 'Blow everything the hell up!' Probably better since we only have a crew of like 10. So that is a no, you do not agree to pay the 250K fine. So be it.
-
Actually, that one was me. And I was getting destroyed by British soldiers, and dropped the grenade as I died. Yes but we wouldn't have been in that situation if Gavrill had not mutinied and then attacked the British ship.
-
Jen is 3rd, so if neither me or Ross (Jeremiah) are not present that's who is in charge. Retech's got access to the Charlie Override Protocol. ----- Icu: So, you will follows orders as long as you agree with them. And then mutiny when you don't. Yeah, not exactly a recipe for success. We came out 'better'. By better I assume you mean not destroyed entirely, in which case, yes we came out 'better'. The only reason for that was pretty much just luck, and had nothing to do with you at all. You didn't help the ship. You hurt the ship. Your actions caused the destruction of the medical bay, the near destruction of the entire ship, tarnished diplomatic relations with Britain, and undermined my authority, which is pretty much the only thing keeping people from just killing one another constantly. I fail to see how you getting some money from Russia and hoarding it in your bank account helps THE SHIP. Not to mention you hoarding all your tech and not giving it to any of the other crew members, and then trying to withdraw the funds you put into the ship wide fund. Yeah, you're not helping the ship at all. The fine is entirely justified for the reasons above. Here's the end to the conversation: I don't need you to do any more explaining or anything, just answer 1 question. Do you accept the punishment and agree to pay the fine? Yes or no.

Yea idk Nex, the log is pretty jumbled and confusing. It seemed to me like you were actively working with Gravill and had foreknowledge of what he was planning and didn't do anything about it. It's definitely not about the sandwiches lmao. 1. You can leave the system even if someone is not on the ship and doesn't want to stay wherever. 2. I've given you a pretty fair option - you rejoin the ship and pay your fine, as well as get stripped of your ranks. 3. Mather's fine with it because he understands the reasoning behind it. What you did was even worse than what I believed Mather had did though, and you still don't understand why you are getting such a huge fine. I know exactly how a dictatorship starts, and under your definition yes, this is a dictatorship. But, going by your definition anyone who has any sort of power or position higher than someone else is a dictator. Teachers are dictators under your system, for example. Same with Doctors. DOCTOR DICTATOR! Silly. No, you want what's best for you. What you're saying is that as long as what's best for you, and you can convince yourself through mental gymnastics that it's best for the ship then you'll follow orders. That's not how this works though. As Arch's lovely poster illustrates:
-
Saying 'Discussion over, every just get along.' doesn't automatically make you right or grown up. Which is exactly what I'm doing. -------- And the 'best interest of the ship' isn't judged solely by what makes to most money. Mutinying and attacking an unarmed ship without orders and with no regard for the consequences is definitely not in the best interest of the ship.
-
Agreed. From now on, if I get a mission from pretty much anyone, they're getting told to stuff it, and I'll go back to my research. Screw politics, from now on I look after the hide of myself and the crew. Now messing with FOX on the other hand... If you stick to that policy I'll refund the fine at at later point. Sexy Well, I actually was planning on taking a little trip to Britain shortly. Care to come with me and Gavrill, Jeremiah? I'm sure the Brits will be very acceptive of the fellow who just blew up their ship and more than 500 of their citizens.
-
Lol *that's* your justification? You're going to need to do a bit better than that.
-
It is a military ship essentially. Why do you think there is even a Captain? And an XO? And I've said before that it's not a democracy. Btw, that 30K you put into the Unity Fund is still there Gavrill, since you need my authorization to withdraw it, and I don't like 'Project Spite' is a valid investment of ship funds.
-
I think the whole "Mutiny" thing is what's important here. Correct. Here's the thing: As a very loose group we work terribly as a team, so we need a very strict and clear chain of command. And if someone [bleep]s with that then they need to be punished - hard. Because ultimately that chain of command is the only reason the ship is still in one piece and we can actually do stuff. If it wasn't the game would be: A: I set course for Mars. B: AI, rescind. Set course for Earth. C: I wanna go to Gamma-B7! C: Set course for Gamma-B7! A: We're going to Mars, guys. B: I shoot A. A: WTF. I shoot B back. C: Set course for Gamma-B7! B: I shoot C. A: I shoot C, too.
