You don't need to have a ship every square mile to guard a sea lane - the Brits and Americans did it in WW2 and they didn't have 300,000 naval vessels.

France, England, or Castille. England is probably the best starter nation since its removed from all the nasty conquerer blob countries. Just use your navy to keep the isles safe and you're good.

How do you figure that? From what I can tell you guys have around 5.4t IAG (since Britannia had moved all its IAG to the British Isles, which were then given to France). So then France has around 5.1t IAG...lol

Because we've had this conversation before and IIRC it was agreed upon that quitting and just giving away all your land to a friend was ridiculous (do you not remember Hegemony V1? That was the whole reason ww5 was fought - because everyone disagreed that I should be given Russia when walka quit).

I believe we had a rule about giving away land did we not? Anyways, looks like Ross, Sere, and Mather have quit Hegemony, so that land returns to NPC control I believe.
