It's alright, though I'll probably re-settle the area and kick the Americans out so it's a Greek region. True, but such technicalities are trivial. So, you'd run to a system, start building, I'd find it shortly afterwards and then you'd continue running? This is obviously not factoring in anything else happening to slow down your retreat, like an asteroid crashing into your ship or a solar flare burning your entire fleet, or any other bizarre circumstance that would wipe out the tiny little faction you had left.

Winning is defeating all competitors. And since you would be running away forever, you're hardly a competitor, and thus defeated. ^ Idk why people thought I was being an 'arse' considering I offered to give Retech back 3/4ths of the land I took in NA. It was a better name then 'brown blob of the South', which I was admittedly leaning towards for a while. I do just mean the Texas (state) now however. -- Anyways, with what Retech is getting back he'll have an IAG of around 1t or 1.5t so that's pretty decent considering some other players have half that, or less (haha rocco)

I fail to see how you running away for eternity somehow prevents me from winning the game.

Problem with that is that the annexations have already gone through, Arch just hasn't updated the map. Pakistan doesn't have any cities left, I'm not sure if you are looking at Afghanistan or just hallucinating, Pakistan was split between India and Iran. Oh whoops, curse my bad eye sight. That is indeed Afghanland.

This. And dont be an arse, dusty. Its not like retech wanted to quit. But he did, and the game moved on. If I quit and then came back I wouldn't expect to be given all my land back, especially if other people had since expanded into it and made it theirs.

Desolate wasteland alright... And Arch, why does Pakistan have 3 cities, since I destroyed them all.
  9. Nero replied to archimage_a's topic in Falador Tavern
Oh yes, desert is perfect military terrain. Great concealment and plenty of growth to sustain an army on the move. -- And I'll give you back Florida, but not Texas, Retech.

Zz, that's right, I magically found a wormhole that lead me to a planet of sexy women and golden trees. And you had a production capacity of infinity...if you decided to munchkin and stop paying your drones anything and using them as slave labour, which everyone had decided was OP and would not be allowed. So yes, if you had cheated you could've won. But didn't you like...disappear into the universe or something silly like that? Hehe I did send out like 20,000 ships to find Terfan. Erm, I don't see how it would be possible to have ships 'hidden' in the heart of my empire. And the daedalus cannons only worked because Arch decided that my dirithanium plating (which was there to counter exactly what daedalus cannons did), didn't exist. More likely no one told me.....Or rather, told me afterwards...or had a nice generic 'It counters everything' Anywho, Grim's Stealth Strategy probably involved the sterlisation of Midgard so no one noticed, followed by the ships landing on the Capitol building and ordering takeout. I swear I told you. I know I mentioned it like once every 20 pages or so anyways. It would've taken his fleet around 100 years to reach Midgard, with Project SW.

Hmmm...Dusty won 1 game, out of 1 game...That is not really a conclusive result...It could be a fluke... Yup, it is. No he didn't, I was still just as strong as him. You just decided to end it. You were just as strong, at the time. However, it would likely take around 50 years until I found your last little system, and by that time it would've been like a mouse vs optimus prime. I had like a billion times your population, around 10,000x the production capacity, and we were really only on par in strength because I had lost a lot of ships and troops taking over Malaysia and the last little vestiges of resistance.

It's also funny how the Sahara desert has more cities than Italy. Lol.

I left the land I have now untouched. And by people I assume you mean me, since I was the only player who not in the NWO (aside from Doom, but she had 2 1/2 continents already zz). Oh no, there's still around 40 updates left at least, I've just figured out how to end it in spectacular fashion.

Sorry, I'm halfway through the update, that was just a change to the front banner since I know how the AAR ends now. Here's the half if you're impatient hehe: [hide]There was a growing suspicion that the title of Transylvania’s king was a cursed position. Each king since Stibor had died in a most gruesome of manner. Janos Durazzo took a pike to the stomach and spilled his guts all across the plains of Erz, during battle with the Bohemians. István’s wound re-opened and he bled to death in the bed of the royal chamber, and Mihály inherited the throne, complete with a civil war. His early reign was bleak, with death and violence a frequent part of Transylvanian life during the time. A plague swept across the province of Budjak, narrowly contained within the province by Transylvanian soldiers who halted all persons exiting the region. Trade ground to a halt, as no merchants wanted to travel to the port cities to embark to other countries. Bulgarian rebels sprouted like weeds across the southern parts of the kingdom. It was a dark time. Times such as those always seemed to give king’s more power, however. In late 1454, Mihály passed an law dictating that the king alone was the supreme commander of the military forces, mitigating the effects of the Liberum Veto somewhat (decision: Pass Militia Act). Mihály’s other policies were starting to show promise as well, where his brutal efficiency in the craft of governance shone. He was not terribly smart in managing the economy of the kingdom, but what he lacked in skill he made up for in brutality. The regions recently conquered from the Turks had been fully integrated into the Ottoman empire, and held sympathetic views towards the Turkish sultanate. They were Islamic in religion as well, though that would quickly change. Hell bent on bringing the kingdom united under one faith, a detachment of the King’s guard arrived in Silistria and Bulgaria in December of 1454, and set about burning the mosques of Islam, and slaughtering the few Muslims that had decided to remain within Transylvania, rather than flee back to other Turkish lands. The ‘conversions’ were successful, as people accepted Christ, more through fear than through love; but such minor details were trivial to Mihály; one kingdom, united in faith! The Slaughter of Bulgarian Muslims, December, 1454 King Mihály wasn’t solely concentrated on internal affairs though. In truth, the internal workings of Transylvania interested him little; his stated purpose was to expand the borders, and make the world fear the name of Transylvania. It was an ambitious goal, but he was an ambitious man. The Kingdom of Napoli to the west of Transylvania had fallen upon hard times. Their ruler had been excommunicated by his Holiness the Pope, and Napoli had found itself at war with the remainder of the Italian states, and a very powerful Castille. Mihály was largely undeterred by such things, and offered the Neapolitans an alliance, which they graciously accepted. It was a fruitless alliance, but Mihály was only interested in having the large powers of the region favourable towards Transylvania, so that he may concentrate on the heathens on his eastern border. [/hide] Haven't proof read so there's probably some mistakes there Which Cities? Hm, let's say...Brest!

Maybe I hid bombs underneath all the cities and I'll detonate them when your troops take over. Hehe. Well, if its part of Europe and it gets attacked then any of the European powers can declare war as per the Europa Doctrine (except for Sere, since he wants to be 'neutral' about his own policy).
  24. Nero replied to archimage_a's topic in Falador Tavern
To be honest...your only option is to do what I did...be strong everywhere...Course, it helps to have a small country. Or you COULD just take over that little piece of land, and ask Dusty if he wants to fight over it. I always want to fight. Anyways, the ERE declares that little tiny strip of land part of Europe. Hehe.
