  1. Another alternative for the mage legs is a shade robe, i think it is just as good as a monks robe bottom (perhaps -1 prayer less?)
  2. I think that it is level only, because a few exp more or less would really make little difference. If you are the same level you are evenly matched.
  3. Good point, I completely forgot to rate ur guide, sry bout that #-o I thought that it was pretty good, and it addressed some good ways to make money. Even though it needs a few corrections, it is quite a good guide. So keep up the good work
  4. This has to be one of the best suggestions I have ever read. I can see you have put lots of time and effort in it. Good job, and I hope Jagex accepts your idea
  5. I think that for f2p, mining iron is the best way to make money for lower levls. Firstly, mining iron is much faster than silver, and it sells for 80-100ea. Also, when you reach levl 45 mining, you are able to mine iron in 1 hit with a rune pickaxe, making it far more efficient than coal or almost any other ore (except pure ess on p2p). Also, there is a much larger market for iron than there is for silver, so you can sell it quicker. Also, you do NOT need membership to make str potions in the way you have outlined in method 3. Members have the option to make them with herblore, but this requires different ingredients altogether. I think that about sums up my corrections, perhaps you should add these to your guide, and fix the parts I mentioned.
  6. Thx alot for your suggestions ppl, I might try out some of the places you mentioned. I am not overly fussed about losing arrows, just as long as I get fast exp :D Do you think I should continue to use iron arrows, or should I change to something else :?:
  7. I have been trying to train range for a while now, but I've been having trouble trying to find a good place to train. My range levl is 56 (almost 57), and I have been training on the hobgoblins near the crafting guild, using iron arrows. I also wear full dhide and use a maple shortbow. If anyone knows of a better place to train (in terms of exp per hour), plz let me know :)
  8. Yes, I tried merchanting God Armour once... It was the biggest mistake of my life #-o Stick with iron all the way \
  9. No, blood runes are only used for p2p spells (namely air wave, water wave, earth wave, fire wave and other higher levled damage spells, and perhaps ancient magic :?: ). The best runes f2p can use are death runes, used for casting blasts.
  10. I started to merchant iron when I had 600k, and I got to 1M in less than a day. Simply buy iron for 60-80ea, and sell for 100ea (110ea on rs forums). This way you can make quick money, and eventually start merchanting God Armour (not reccomended) or rares. I hope this helps
  11. Firstly, NEVER wear vambraces when using magic, they give you a large negative bonus to magic. Use gloves, they have no effect on magic. The Stronghold of Security boots also have a negative bonus for ranged attacks, and perhaps magic atks too. Apart from that, you have got it all right =D>
  12. I think you'd be better off selling the iron for 200k and buying iron bars, because smelting iron is a pain. With 2k iron ore, you'd be lucky to get 1k iron bars (however, if you are p2p and can get rings of forging, make the bars and smith). People can buy/sell iron bars for as low as 150ea, so you can get 1.3k iron bars from 200k, which is alot better than 1k or less just smelting. However, if you buy bars, you forfeit the extra exp of actually smelting them yourself, so in the end it's up to you.
  13. If you want to mine ess for yourself, you can mine it by being teleported to the ess mines by Aubrey in Varrock rune shop. You need to complete the Rune mysteries quest first. To buy ess, go to Varrock east bank in World 1 or 3.
  14. I believe that the price for rune essence varies from 20-30gp ea. Normally you should have no problem buying for 20ea, but if you are trying to buy on World 1 or 3, I'd suggest buying for 25ea. That way you will get more buyers. I hope that helps
  15. Woodcutting is quite fast, as long as you stick with willows, but firemaking is muck faster. However, it requires a lot of clicking. So it's up to you.
