  1. A prog keeps possing up and task manager is disabled... Sound like some malware.

Shut down, boot in safe mode, go to run, type msconfig, hit ok, go to startup tab, uncheck the program that keeps popping up, apply, restart, read the stickies and scan with all of the recommended programs.

  2. I literally get headaches trying to think about this. I mean if it doesn't go on forever, something does. Or nothing. But if nothing goes on forever it's just as wierd.

I know what you mjean exactly! It's like thinking... ok. Here's earth. We know where that is. I can picture where that is. Now here's space. Where is space? Can I picture space? It just hurts.

And as for space going on forever... think about if it didn't... And as for the universe. If it's just empty space after the last particle in the universe, where is it exactly and how can there be an infinite amount of room with a finite amount of matter?

  3. Get dev-c++. bloodshed.net

It's an editor that compiles with mingw which is a windows port of gcc. It's incredibly powerful, supports the latest standards, and compiles very quickly. Their smart tab feature is buggy though. I suggest you uncheck the smart tab box under editor options. With that off, it operates very well as an editor also!

  4. It's a program called WindowBlinds, you can find it and other great software at http://www.stardock.com.

Warning though: I highly advise against the uxtheme.dll hack (if you don't know what I'm talking about, good), if you happen to come across it while looking for themes, stay clear. It can cause problems for your computer, and, not only that, Windowblinds is much more powerful.

Also, stay way clear of StyleXP. It's basically a graphical frontend to the hack I mentioned above. So, not only is it not as cool as WindowBlinds, they're charging you for a product that's illiegal and can be gotten for free anyway.

I've been using stylexp for at least a year now. It's got some amazing themes and I've never had any problems with it. No use paying for it though lol

  5. NO NO NO!!!! all wrong

i had this problem a day ago what u need to do is see the 2 computer screens down in ure taskbar, right click it and go to Repair and click on it.

    It should now work fine.

Oww and P.S. Lorddragonxx change ure sig. it a family friendly forum :x

That just closes your internet connection and starts it again... Not exactly a universal cure. Good if our internet doesn't work at all though.

  6.

    plan 2:

    right click ur desktop -

    create a new link

as the location, type in 'Shutdown -s -t 30' and name it shutdown.

schedule this to execute at a specific time using task scheduler in admin tools in ur control panel.

Might wanna move it to some hidden folder afterwards so you don't acidetnally click it ;)

If you don't have windows set to display hidden folders, that'd be a problem...

  7. It depends on the keylogger. Many of them search for the runescape program and only log keys while it is on top. If you get a less-powerful keylogger, that would work.

As for loading the page, disconnecting, typing, etc. That wouldn't work at all. Keyloggers record a set amount of keystrokes or just record for a set amount of time then just send all of the data usually as an email. It loggs whether you're online or offline.

If you get a good firewall, you don't have to worry about keyloggers b/c you'd have to give the keylogger permssion to connect to the internet yourself.

  8. Lets ignore the wires and just look at the time it takes for the signal to go to the satelite and back to you. The satellite is in Geosynchronous orbit, so it's going to be about 35,790,000 meters above earth. Light travels at about 800,000,000 m/s. Round trip, about .09 seconds. Lets think of a ping. That'd be .18 seconds. Ping is measured in ms, so that's a ping of 180. Might not sound like a lot but (based like assumptions like the rest of this), you're effectively taking the ping that you'd have with broadband and adding about 180 to it. So yea... not completely sure of this, but at least the math is probably right...

  9.

and the mods stop by maybe once a month.

What really gave you that idea? Just because we don't post on every single thread doesn't mean we aren't reading them.

It was late which is why I just ranted. I'd like to apologise for that.

My real complaint is that the mods don't do very much. I realize that it's a big forum that needs a bunch of work (still referring to this forum) and a bunch of mods to keep it in order. Not you're fault, but that's my complaint.

I like the idea of this forum. It's nice to help people with comp problems. It's just not an environment where this can be done efficiently and without tons of misinformation and flaming...

  10. I have one and I really like it! The charger is unique, so if it doesn't come with one, you'll have to buy it.

The system itself is far superior to the regular gba. The origional never should have been released... It was impossible to see without a lamp... However, getting a regular gba and installign an afterburner might be cheaper but it'd take some work.
