  1. for slayer: if youre fighting a monster that melees you: bandos top/bottom black mask fury ammy berserker ring barrows gloves fire cape dragon boots whip+dfs switch out bandos top/bottom with armadyl top and bottom if the monster has a magic based attack (like bloodvelds or jellies) if you need to pray on an assignment wear proselyte top/bottom and a trimmed skill cape instead of bandos and fire cape have guthans in your inventory to heal if you need to use a cannon on all possible tasks (daggnoths, kalphites, etc), have 96 mage so you can use the spellbook swap spell (easy to contact your slayer master and teleport all around runescape), and have 81 agility to use all nessecary shortcuts. not sure about smithing or fishing.
  2. for range use black hides, barrows gloves, ranger boots, blessed coif (worth the extra 50k) for mage use ahrims top and bottom, farseer helm(same mage bonus as ahrims), infinity boots, barrows gloves
  3. Okay, take this hypothetical situation. ~There is only one seller selling 10k logs for 50 gp each. ~There is only one buyer buying 10k logs for 55 gp each. What happens? I have come up with two answers 1. If the transaction goes through, where does the extra 50k go? Does it go 'into' the grand exchange as a form of an invisible tax? I doubt either the seller or buyer get back extra gold... 2. If the transaction doesn't go through, then the Grand Exchange is just a massive market where you have to manage to guess the sellers/buyers desired price. This is impractical and more or less impossible. Consider the first case being true: taxation leads to deflation as there becomes less and less gold in our economy per person, meaning prices of items will go down as the value of gold rises (relativley). This will lead to a rares crash as there will be no point in investing in discontinued items if they will just lose value. Consider the second case being true: the grand exchange is like a car with no wheels; wont get you anywhere. EDIT: Good news, I have heard that the buyer gets the money he overpaid back to him. I guess we'll all sleep well tonight ;)
  4. what do you mean... hitpoints are in no way affected by prayer...right?
  5. here's what ive come up with for f2p 1. 31 prayer gives the +15% str bonus 31 prayer lvls = 3.875 combat lvls each str lvl = 0.325 combat lvls 3.875/0.325 = 11.923 this basically says that 31 prayer levels are equal to 11.9 str levels, so when we get a bigger bonus that 11.9 from our +15% str prayer, thats the moment prayer becomes worth it (strictly speaking str-wise) so 11.9/0.15 = 79.48 str. basically the level when you should consider getting prayer is level 80 strength. 2. 44 prayer gives the +15% range bonus 44 prayeer lvls = 5.5 combat lvls each range lvl = 0.487 combat lvls (i cant get an exact number here for this) 5.5/.487 = 11.29 11.29/0.15 = 75.3 Basically 44 prayer becomes worth it when you get 76 range. 3. you have to consider that prayer doesnt last forever, that it runs out. I dont know how to factor this in, but i'd imagine that it de-values prayer. Also, protect item adds value to getting prayer, despite its morality issues. Questions, Comments, Feedback, etc, all greatly appreciated.
  6. i dont see the point of training defence past 40 in f2p if you're trying to pk. the extra combat levels are not worth the defence levels i'd think also here are the damage breakpoint levels w/ rapid and addy arrows 63 range ~ 11 damage 70 range ~ 12 damage 77 range ~ 13 damage 84 range ~ 14 damage so one of those is a good target level to train range to before pking
  7. I have an f2p range pure, range level is 69, and i'm wondering where i should be training around these levels. Wheres the best exp/hour, etc.. right now ive been training at lesser demons and they are pretty slow. also whats the ankou spot that pures use in the security stronghold? Thanks!
  8. why do you have 45 defence if you're going to pk in f2p? do you attack with scimmy and switch to r2h for the ko?
  9. wow man good job. keep it going with the coal mining. I'll pay you 170 each if ya wanna sell w/e coal you end up with :) PM me if anything and good luck!!!
  10. cut oaks or normal logs, they are in demand right now. try around draynor.
  11. i'm wondering the same thing. my best idea on this is draynor :)
  12. dont worry about prayer, you hit high enough, just bring some lobbies, your armor is good enough
