  1. Indeed. Then again, I'm an authoritarian militarized state.
  2. Well, with something that's a global military precedent, I'm sure that the people would like to see their fellow citizen-soldiers display their pretty new grey uniforms.
  3. Mass "Greyshirt" rallies were held in Britain today in celebration of the military reform measures, which have seen the establishment of the Mobile Infantry as the dominant armed forces on land. The Army and the Marines have been gobbled up into the organization. They are supported by the Medic Corps and the Engineers Corps. Medics can be distinguished by their white armbands containing the Red Cross, and they also wear caps and helmets that contain a painted/embroidered Red Cross. Engineers are distinguished by their green armbands that contains the Wrench and Circle as the symbol of the Engineers Corps. Mobile Infantrymen wear red armbands containing the Flash and Circle as part of their uniforms; their combat gear looks exactly like the picture that I revealed a few days ago. As part of the military reform, deployment cost of the MI has decreased to a more reasonable price while still maintaining quality and discipline. Of course, this isn't to say that the Mobile Infantry will lack specialization. Indeed, there will be "light" and "heavy" units as well as "ultra-light" units (typically working for espionage and counter-intelligence). "Light" units are just regular Mobile Infantry units. They are "light" in comparison to their comrades who are "heavy" units. The latter wear armor that makes them "human tanks" and are typically used for breaching enemy fortifications.
  4. Good man, Mao was. Maonaise!
  5. How cute. :) Anyway, it seems that our fellow Tavernians are already used to moderator/admin presence, so I don't believe that there should be too much of a problem for you.
  6. Dear admins, I believe that it could help things a LOT if other mods and admins participated in roleplay in our little sub-community. I believe that it would make people behave maturely and still form bonds. Also, I believe that y'all enjoy it as well. Regards, Serephurus
  7. You could try a Perfect Model Injection. PMI is used within the modding community in order to put models that aren't part of a certain map into it, but it can be rather complicated (so I suggest finding a good guide or getting a person who's good at it to do it for you). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poZiuPTpDLU This person was able to put stuff from Warhammer 40k into Fallout 3. Also, it's commonly used to mod Halo maps.
  8. Don't forget trisexuals.
  9. Parliament has passed the Military Services Act, approving the restructuring of the Land Forces and the growth of the Mobile Infantry. Likewise, the Navy will see some restructuring as well, and the Air Force will become more cooperative with the Navy.
  10. That's kind of creepy, no offense.
  11. You can't create a game engine with HTML... And HTML isn't a language per se. I knew how to do a little PHP years ago, but I have since forgot. I had my own website at one time, but I was screwed over when they changed the server to PHP 5 since I only knew PHP 4.
  12. Thanks Laik. <3:
  13. Byzantium is Eastern Orthodox, so it stopped caring about the pope in, let's see...1054. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East%E2%80%93West_Schism Well played.
  14. This looks like another dull day on Hegemony without Archi. :( Anyway, here are some more projects that are being started: Project Nyx Project Gluon Project Terra Project Sailor Project Collider Project Shell
  15. I wonder if the Soul armor will actually turn out to be fairly decent. If you think about it, with the addition of Body Legs, full Body armor could probably come close to rivaling Mystic armor. With the addition of two more types of metals, Blood and Soul, it should be at least more powerful than Mystic. Hopefully the Soul armor would compete as an alternative PvP magic armor. One could only hope, am I right?
  16. Fair enough.
  17. this is a very revealing statement: you need two to make a baby, and condoms (responsibility of both) are the only type of contraceptive to give a reasonable level or protection for STD's. Why do you absolve the guy of his responsibility? Nice taking my statement out of context. I don't relieve the guy of his responsibility. I just believe that it's irresponsible for a woman to have sex with a man and not use condoms or birth control, get pregnant, and hit up her local abortion clinic. what?!? out of context? i quoted it JUST as presented. It's an overarching attitude, however you present it and you continue the same argument too, which underbuilds my point precisely: you again absolve the guy of responsibility. It's equally irresponsible for a man to have sex with a woman, where he does not use a condom, as she may get pregnant. He is equally responsible for conceiving an unplanned child. when you place the responsibility of birth control on the female, not the couple, you're advocating a patriarchal society as opposed to gender equality! Okay, you are again taking me out of context. Directly quoting me doesn't change that. Get your facts straight. You indeed made assumptions about my character by reading what I wrote, despite me never explicitly stating that. I don't really have time to argue this point endlessly with you, but we both know that you're using this as a tactic to discredit me. I do agree that birth control should be a decision made by the couple. However, in my scenario, it was assumed that the female did not discuss the matter with her partner and instead secretly traveled to an abortion clinic. Despite my views concerning abortion in general, it is indeed very wrong to at the very least not get involved in a mutual discussion about the matter. It's a decision that should be made by both partners since both of them played a part in conception. The male penetrated the woman, and his sperm seeded her uterus. He thus played a significant part in conception, and it would be unfair for him to not know that his partner was about to abort his child.

  19. 9/10 for having a life. EDIT: Also, 7\10 for making that much progress as a new player within that time frame. Personally, it took me a month or so to get over 100k when I first joined back in late 2005. I had less knowledge about the trading system and made money by working for people or cutting willow logs and selling them in the general store. I was basically one of those people who gathered raw resources and sold them. I even made my own armor for a while. Of course, those days were more enjoyable for me since I actually felt like I earned my stuff. I can still remember the excitement from buying my first "yellow cape" in world 1 from a player for 5k. It seems like we were getting ripped, but that was the trade price for the capes, which were uncommon in F2P. Also, I remember getting excited when I earned a rune 2h sword and full rune armor, as well as the money to purchase a rune hatchet for 20k.
  20. When my character's male, a general upper-class English accent would be fine. I've always imagined my character with some sort of upper-class accent (although not necessarily English). When my character's a female, I guess it wouldn't really matter so long as the actor didn't have such a high-pitched voice that she sounded like a 5 year old. Maybe a seductive female voice would do the trick. Of course, if it was the latter, I would probably actually be playing Runescape again.... a lot.
  21. Well, she was obviously a nutter. ------------------------------ I'm pretty sure that people are aware of my stance concerning abortion. Generally, I am against it. I have reviewed both sides of the debate, and it's basically an issue that cannot really be supported through moral debate. It's much like the issue of whether or not we should euthanize the mentally insane or those who are terminally ill. On the one hand, it would reduce suffering and population growth, as well as relieving a burden on the taxpayers. However, it also destroys a life unwillingly. As far as aborting a living fetus in a later stage of pregnancy, I would strongly object to such a practice. However, I will have to admit that I place less value on a shapeless clump of cells in early pregnancy. Still, one could easily argue that in both cases, you are destroying a life, and thus it is morally questionable. I'm especially against such practices such as IDX abortion on a live fetus as it is especially barbaric. In my opinion, it's no different from giving birth and smashing the baby against a concrete wall. Here's an explanation of the IDX procedure. It is from a neutral article. Likewise, I believe that it is both wrong and irresponsible for a promiscuous woman to get pregnant (especially when she fails to use a contraceptive) and go to her local abortion clinic in order to terminate her pregnancy.
  22. are you talking to me? You talkin to me, punk? Yeah, so what? Whatcha gonna do bout it?
  23. Don't make fun of Saru because he's gay...
  24. And Catholics.
  25. He's talking about the Balearic Islands, which are by the "byz" in Dusty's map. Capital investigative skills Sherlock. San Marino and Vatican City are both not controlled by anyone.
