I can confirm that Japan is working on separate negotiations with Italy. Dusty, I tried to get you to give the two options that Doom presented for Italy (part of Japan's IAG or northern Japan), but you only listed the northern Japan option. We will work in order to get Italy pacified, though.

The Great Schism was over the issue of icons. The Catholic church obviously uses a crapload of religious icons depicting Christ, so it's logical to assume that the Eastern church is the one that doesn't like depictions of Christ. I believe the images that you're thinking about are Saints. I'm not trying to get off-topic (too much), but I've wanted to visit a local Eastern Orthodox church in order to observe their practices. Personally, I'm an agnostic and my parents are Christians, but we are all confirmed Anglicans. I find it amusing, to say the least.

It's certainly not respectful toward us when they brandish their scimitars and threaten to cut our throats. Likewise, it's impossible not to offend other cultures because some cultures (i.e. our culture and theirs) are completely different. For example, it's offensive toward Western nations that Iran executes homosexuals or that Saudi Arabia practices Barbaric punishment for women who go outside social norms, but that's their culture. If they are in our country, our culture comes first, and they should respect it or leave. The same holds true if we visit their country. If it's against customs to kiss in public in Dubai, you should respect that custom and refrain from kissing in public. If you don't like that, simply leave Dubai. If they are offended that we practice freedom of speech (no matter how offensive it is), then they are free to leave our country at any time.

The question is "Do you surrender?" If you don't come straightforward and answer the question, Dusty's not going to trust that you won't try any shenanigans and try to be crafty. I think those terms are fine, but I'm not the person to decide that.

Some other things: -Do not put money toward NATO, the UN, or any other binding alliance organization (Withdraw from them is what I would advocate) -Cut military spending I'm not sure why. We could survive with a downsized military (at least downsize the budget and spend less on new gadgets). Hell, at least it could make the US government a little less arrogant and teach us all humility. It would give us more freedom in the long-run.

Besides, it's actually the contrary. The Eastern Bloc might want to consider swallowing its pride and surrendering to Byzantia considering that they are getting whopped up by a single European power. From what I have observed, the Eastern Bloc is very disorganized and has failed to perform some strategic operations that I have been astounded as to why they have failed to perform them...
