No. If you have access to similar stuff I do, what exactly am I paying for? F2P may be slightly more than a demo, but its specifically designed to offer the basics of the game, and thats it. Now, I see your point that melee is offered far more than the other combat styles, but that is really only because there are many cheap, low level melee armors. In general, it appears that most standard, non quest related armor with all requirements under lvl 40 are also introduced to F2P with the one exception being mystic. So I would say it might be safe to assume that most new armors with requirements lower than 40 would have an F2P element. But really, how many new low level armor types are gonna come out? Members already have lots of low level choices, and not many members are that low in level anyways.

Are you KIDDING? Go out to your nearest computer hardware retailer, and take a look at the prices for memory. Now, let me point out something about how these games work. The way that data like your bank is stored is in a fixed size data structure. This means that regardless of whether you are using the space, it is reserved, and the space is still consumed in theyre servers. Now, imagine how many F2P players there are. Mulitply that by 12 to get the amount of bank spaces needed to be stored. Remember how expensive memory is? Not to mention increased upkeep costs of a larger server. This would cost Jagex thousands and thousands of dollars. You're right, F2P is more than a demo. But you should be thankful, you'd be extremely lucky at most other companies in the industry to find even a DEMO for free. So stop complaining.

People who frequent the RS rant forum(mostly pures whining about def requirements, so #1 would be good enough) 3.Wildy - I liked it waaay better when you could fight anywhere, and you could always be attacked(if you had PK on). I don't think that skill capeswill have any long term effects on the economy. It's true that skill capes like fishing will greatly increase the number of sharks fished, increasing supply. However, cooking will increase demand for sharks. If supply and demand increase porportionally, there shouldn't be a huge change in prices. Most commodities have this relationship: fishing-cooking, mining-smithing, woodcuttin-fletching. In response to the post above by smiles, I don't think that the editor was making any detrimental remark toward skil cape owners. He was mearly explaining a theory in which skill cape owners are responsible for price change. This doesn't mean he's blaming you for it. That's like saying that pointing out that new players bring increase the amount of cash in the economy is equivalent to blaming new players for the inflation.

Well, this was a move Jagex had to make, and I agree with it. Will this stop luring? No, probably not. I think it will be too easy to get around. Say I post on the forums that I'm buying a phat at some unbelievable price. Tip.It forum too, so Jagex won't ever see the post. Someone PMs me about it, and we work out the details, meeting me in wildy or next to it and all. My victim has to change worlds, and get all the way to where I am. I never say anything to them after the initial deal is worked out. I kill them. Obvious lure. Problem is, if they report me, all Jagex will see is them walking into the wilderness with a phat, and dying. Most likely, I have not said anything to them in the past 2-5 minutes, depending on the situation. Suspicious that he walked up to me in the wildy with a phat? Yes. Enough to convict? Probably not. Even so, the threat will surely deter some lurers, so it won't be completely useless.

Well, I'm sure non-mems will get something, but I agree members should get more. And they probably will. Gotta keep putting out incentives to shell out 5 bucks a month. Probably clothing for f2p, plus something for members, like the christmas one. Maybe an egg launcher that uses nest eggs, or access to Easter Island all year round. And the emote is definetly coming back, so stop crying about it.
