Sk4terpunk90
Okay so I have been on and off Runescape lately. I have 38k nats to sell/spend, which for those who wish not to do math is.... almost 11.8mil Im 60 fm, I think and am thinking of getting the hawt cape. I am thinking of doing yews, as I don't play lots and I'm impatient... QUESTIEEEOONSSSS: 1) How much would it cost w/ yews from 60-99 1a) willows? 2) How long would it take with yews? 2b) willows? 3) Should I bother with this goal? I did mention I am impatient but it could be fun in edgeville and I could keep my mind set
rhan_wolf
sorry i wont actually do the math on this, but since its only 4.35 mil;doing it with willows, it cant be more than 11.8mil with yews. So you could afford it and it would be a lot faster. ------------------------sword metal.com
fremus
same as above.. im not doing the math but if u can afford yews - its a good solution. But remmeber, it still going to be a decent amount of logs, therfore try to be patient lol - i did it with maples (and some mages at the end) - it gets boring, very boring at times good luck Fletching/Fishing/Crafting/Firemaking/cooking cape owner
NJE03
Yew is faster. I personally cut all my required willow for lv 99 but if you want to spend, yew will be much quicker. Harrington
You can burn 1k logs per hour. That's one every 3.6 seconds. The guide assumes you'll manage this. Normal logs to lvl : 15 Logs Required : 60 Cost : 6k (regular logs are 100gp each) Time : 4 mins Oak logs to lvl : 30 Logs Required : 184 Cost : 5.5k (oak logs are 30gp each) Time : 12 mins Willow logs to lvl : 45 Logs Required : 533 Cost : unknown Time : 32 mins Maple logs to lvl : 60 Logs Required : 1,570 Cost : 157k (maples cost 100gp each) Time : 95 mins Yew logs to lvl : 99 Logs Required : 63,028 Cost : 15.1m (assuming they cost 240gp each) Time : 63 hours TOTAL COST : 15.2m TOTAL TIME : 65 hours One of the most important things when firemaking is that you find a spot with long runs East to West, that aren't too busy. Here's my favourite spots
robs_mom
I think it is important that we all set goals and achieve those goals. However, trying to get to 99 fire making in a few sittings I think would eventually lead to burn out. What if you only do it 1 hour a day? If you can do 1k logs per hour then that would only be like 63 days. So in 2 months you would have the satisfaction of getting 99 fire making. On the other hand you can do it for 8 days straight (8 hours), assuming you have 8 free hours in the day! And have immediate satisfaction within a week. However, I think it would be likely for you to burn out. Maybe if you want more immediate results but not do it in 8 days. Perhaps move up to 2 hours a day lighting logs. highlanders
Just calculate with the tip.it FM calculator. I'm even giving u the link, because ur soooo lazyyy, ain't I nice? http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=firemaking_calc.htm Then multiply the amount of the logs by the price of the logs. 30gp willows 300gp yews 1.1k magics 100gp maples 2480+ total
corndog22
sorry i wont actually do the math on this, but since its only 4.35 mil;doing it with willows, it cant be more than 11.8mil with yews. So you could afford it and it would be a lot faster. Forgive me if my math is wrong, but let me try this. Willows= 30gp each Yews= 300gp each (getting harder to get that price) 300/30= 10 ---> 10 means yews cost 10 times as much as willows. Therefore, if yews cost 10 times as much, 4.35mil * 10= 43.5mil. 43.5mil - 11.8mil= 31.7mil. I don't know about you, but to me 31.7mil is way more than 11.8mil. Again, I'm sorry if i screwed something up.
shurikennin
The cheapest way of doing it would be:Go on a very populated nonmember world and go to lumby general store buy willows from it go north by the furnace then burn the logs and repeat.I'm 56 fire making and it would cost me only 1.7m to get 99 fm, so it would cost less for you but I'm not sure about the time it would take Dude, you're an idiot #-o Dude, your feeble attempt at an insult is hilarious. ... You can tell JAGeX is British - No common sense. :notalk:Supportmage:Quick Robin,to the roflcopter!
