Evil_Dude
It does. You have to put money in (a lot if you want to be at all profitable) to get any resources back. However, I find it very worth it. Make sure you've done royal trouble, put 2m in (if you can), set to a combination of flax and maples (I prefer all flax and half maples), get your approval rating to 100%, and come back in 2 weeks. Bludragon124
Yes, it costs money. You easily get that and more back. I concentrate on herbs all the way, and maples halfway. After a week with 250k in it and 100% favor I got 35 ranarrs, some good amounts of avvies, kwaurm, and irits. I also got 1.3k maples. Harralanders too. Noted raw mackerel drop... Wtfh? Always buying: Watermelon seeds, 2K each. Strawberry seeds, 800 each. Contact Via PM on forums.
MercantCaptain
So 250k is enough? Fishing: Monks in piscatoris.Runecrafting: Abyss runecrafting..Contact Me On TIF ~ Private is set to | Friends ~
Gin_and_Tonic
So 250k is enough? Well, you can put up to 7million in them (i think, or 14m) The more you put it, the faster you reap the rewards. (I think)
rise
If you put in only 250k you are wasting your time because the servents use 10% of your money up to 75k per day to buy supplies so yeah. Usually i put in 1.5m for 10 days 100% maples 50% flax. You esially make over 1m profit witch is prett good for doing nothing. I dont have a sig anymore =[But I did manage to get every skill in the highscores
dwarfie76
Yes, you really want to keep your coffers up over the 750k mark to be getting the most out of it. There is a table somewhere in the guide that tells you how many of each resource you would collect, the easy money-spinners would be flax, coal or maples. Although I put herbs on full blast and farming for the rest, between the herbs and herb seeds collected I can make a half-mil profit per week... not as much as you could make with flax or coal but I'm on a herblore / farming binge at the moment. darkblade986
This table will show you how much you receive per amount of money assigned to each area. http://tip.it/runescape/?page=manage_thy_kingdom.htm#cost So for example, if you did complete Royal Trouble, and you set one item to 100% and another to 50% (bonus workers for Royal Trouble), your workers would first take out 10% or 75k of the money you put in. Now to determine how much they'll use, multiply the amount they take by your approval rating, then further multiply that by the amount assigned. So for example... 250k in Coffer Approval: 75% Assigned: 90% So you have 250k x 10%, which takes out 25,000gp. Your approval rating is 75%, so 25,000 x 75% is 18,750gp that will be used. Next, you spend 90% of that on something. That's 18,750 x 90%, which is 16,875gp. Now divide the number given in the table by that amount and you will get approximately how much of that item you will get in a day. Note that your approval rating does go down per day, so you have to return and bring your rating back up before the next collection date or you will not receive your full money's worth. don't worry, you are going to "hell" anyway. wanna race to see who gets there first?Officially reached 100 Combat at 1:33PM EST, June 14, 2007First Dragon Drop: Dragon Chain (Dust Devils) @ 10:48PM EST, July 14, 2008, lv113 combat
highlanders
Umm lots of replies up there dunno if they're good, here's mine :XD: Do the Royal Trouble quest, you need it in order to make the best profit. It's not worth doing that minigame if you don't. Then, in order to reach maximum profit you must: -Put a base of 750K in the coffers -Add 75K per day you want to leave it -Get 100% approval rate -Return every one or two days to raise your approval -Put 100% on maples, and 50% on flax(safe bet) OR 50% on herbs(non-constant rewards, sometimes better than flax, sometimes worse) 2480+ total
dwarfie76
A worked example to show you how you can make money from it: Assuming we start with 1.275Mil in the coffers and an approval rating of 100%, set your workers to gather coal (10 workers) and flax (5 workers). Day 1: 75K @ 100% = 75000 effective gp Day 2: 75K @ 99% = 74250 effective gp Day 3: 75K @ 98% = 73500 effective gp Day 4: 75K @ 97% = 72750 effective gp Day 5: 75K @ 96% = 72000 effective gp Day 6: 75K @ 95% = 71250 effective gp Day 7: 75K @ 94% = 70500 effective gp ----------------------------------------------- Total Effective GP: 509250gp Of Which 2/3 (339500) is set to buy coal and 1/3 (169750) is set to buy flax. At 91.6 per coal and 40 per flax that will buy you: 3706 coal 4243 flax Selling those resources at 200 per coal and 100 per flax will get you: 3706 * 200 = 741200gp 4243 * 100 = 424300gp --------------------------- Total Gross Profit: 1,165,500gp Of course we've now got to top up the coffers with 7 days worth of 75k so we need to subtract 525000 from that figure: 1165500 - 525000 = 640,500 Total Net Profit. As you can see, there are faster ways to make money in the runescape world... Crafting nats will turn you over 600k in a few mere hours. However, once you get your approval rating up (which takes only a few minutes to get back to 100% from ~90%) you can pretty-much set and forget, so it's an extra 600k that you don't have to work for each week.
