The perfect MMORPG

What a shame, because it has everything PvP players are looking for. And more. You can build your own boats and shoot the crap out of other people. With cannons. How cool is that?

WoW is a great game, but it's sorely lacking in PvP depth. It has such a great control system though, I'd love to see something like that, or even an improved version of it in another game. (Counterexample: Guild Wars, or EQ1 = horrible controls)

Here's hoping WAR will be WoW, but with better PvP. From everything we've seen and heard, it strongly resembles a WoW clone... which is a good thing, as long as they get the PvP right. I've never played DAOC, so I can't comment on that.

Here's also hoping Conan works out. It's the closest thing to Darkfall, with PvP (in PvP zones), player buildable cities, and most exciting, a real-time, action-based combat system. No more ridiculous "targeting" and dice rolled accuracy.

Both these games will be coming out later this year, and I'll be trying them out for sure.

But if Darkfall ever comes out, it's time to jump ship, because that'll be the game to have it all.

Or if some other more established developer picks up on the concept.

What?

Physics are the most important part of a game to me. Physics will make it seem like the same thing doesn't happen over and over again. It makes it more real.

Damn well agreed. Out of all the MMO's out Conan I am most looking foward too. Yeah, WAR looks nice and all but I don't know if I can play another game like it. (just using random hotkeys).

If darkfall ever comes out I'd be all over it though.

And the only reason i'm currently playing WoW is there aren't any other good MMO's out to play and I really need to save up for college (so I don't have the money to be buying a new game every few weeks). $15 a month is pretty damn cheap to keep me content. Overall I do enjoy the game but wish the PvP was so much more.

There was that game, that was in closed beta. The game was soo great and popular people asked for like 10 beta keys and they wouldn't even get it. Getting a key was like uber uber luck. I'm mad at myself for not remember the name...

Anyway, no game is perfect, but that one is probably the closest to perfection right now...

EDIT: asked people on onrpg forums, and I got it

This is hideously off topic but that Darkfall looks absolutely insanely great  any news on a release date/estimate to save me trawling their forums?

Sometime around when Duke nukem: Forever comes out.
