would it be faster to go around planting things and harvesting them (i use this path: fally allotment/herb patch -> morytania allotment/herb patch -> camelot area allotment/herb patch -> ardougne area allotment/herb patch) or do the sorceress garden and pick the herbs instead of the sq'irk fruit?

I would say going around and planting/harvesting.

I would agree with the guy above me. Harvest it. Also, make sure to put in compost into the bins. It actually will help.

Hi... Not sure if you've done Throne of Miscellania, but it's one of the best _helpers_ for farmers. After finishing quest you put money into the coffers and then get resources from workers... Yes, you have to go to Miscellania every day, but it's only for a few minutes to keep your popularity up. It's a really small price to pay for the return on investment. (Check mini-game guide for amounts... Just be sure to choose regular trees to log and flax for the best return. )

I usually wait about 5 to 10 days to pick up my loot. (I had 48 tree seeds the last time.) You get lots of tree seeds and if you can't use them you can always sell em. Plus you have tons of maple logs for fletching or fm or selling and of course, lots of flax.

The only _regular_ crops I would grow are the ones you need to pay gardners, so they will watch your trees or high lvl crops for you.

Bushes I don't bother paying too have watched. I just plant and take my chances. Each time I check health I pull and plant again. I always try to plant highest lvl bush I can.

I'm a lvl 87 farmer and tree seeds are definitely my friend.

Here's a couple of other tips:

When you are ready to log off plant low lvl tarromin herb if they die not a biggie, but they add up if you do it that way. Also see if you or a friend can make a "garden" pie it will boost your planting lvl up 2 or 3 spots. And finally, if you're serious, I would invest in a "Amy of Nature." You use 'em on one crop and it will signal you if there is a problem. A must for high lvl herbs.

Well, good luck!

There's no saying that you can't plant all the allotments, go do the Sorceress's Garden, wait for your crops to grow, harvest, re-plant, and go back to the Sorceress's Garden again.

But as was mentioned, that'll all just be gravy on top of planting trees. That's without question the best way to raise farming.

I like to plant herbs, go do stuff while wearing my Amulet of Nature, and then harvest and re-plant my herbs once my Amulet tells me my crops are done. I have a good 75 minutes between herb plantings to go do whatever.
