March 20, 200719 yr prayer book is mostly used as a shield for mages/rangers than it is for a warrior except for pures who don't have the defense for anything else. Barrows drops: ahrims staff (2), karils coif, karils xbow, torags plate body, veracs helm.
March 20, 200719 yr prayer book is useful if you're fighting giant monsters using only prayer for defense. In which case you are wearing all prayer armor, too. There are not actually that many monsters that you need to do this with, except big dragons, and then you have to use an anti-dragon shield. For combat quests, like contact or something, I would also probably use a prayer book, because you won't need long-term defesne as much, and its free to replace. In fact, some people like to take prayer books into the wilderness, because they are free to replace (unless you are mad rich, 300k for an obby shield isn't something you want to lose).

March 20, 200719 yr Rune defender would be the best. And it's not hard to get, even at ur lvl. 2480+ total
