pulli23 Posted March 20, 2007 Share Posted March 20, 2007 well what shield is better of those 2, when fighting like a lvl 180 monsters (cmb lvl 92 currently with 75 att, 80 str and 65 def) during quests, so I will use prayer but no prayer potions (don't want the quests to get too hard). an obby shield or a guthix book of balance? First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me. marnuke Posted March 20, 2007 Share Posted March 20, 2007 prayer book is mostly used as a shield for mages/rangers than it is for a warrior except for pures who don't have the defense for anything else. Piman Posted March 20, 2007 Share Posted March 20, 2007 prayer book is useful if you're fighting giant monsters using only prayer for defense. In which case you are wearing all prayer armor, too. There are not actually that many monsters that you need to do this with, except big dragons, and then you have to use an anti-dragon shield. For combat quests, like contact or something, I would also probably use a prayer book, because you won't need long-term defesne as much, and its free to replace. In fact, some people like to take prayer books into the wilderness, because they are free to replace (unless you are mad rich, 300k for an obby shield isn't something you want to lose).
