March 26, 200719 yr i've heard of afk but i don't know what it is or why it is illegal. Some information on this please? ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~
March 26, 200719 yr Away From Keyboard it is agianst the rules, as you are not allowed to play runescape if you are not sitting at your keyboard (or standing, or dacing, or whatever it is that you do) Back by popular demand! And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all.
March 26, 200719 yr Author oh, so it's like a macro? ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~
March 26, 200719 yr Away-from-keyboard. People use this method at mosters which are agressive, (attack you without attacking them), for example Rock crabs or Bandits in the Desert. They constantly respawn and hit you, meaning you dont really have to look at the screen, just every so often to check hitpoints etc. The agression time lasts for 20minutes, of which after you'll need to get a loading screen for them to become agressive again. However, at Bandits, if you wear an item of God armours (eg Cloak, book), they remain agressive for over this time period. Its perfect for people to read a book, look at forums etc. So, in response, its when you train without looking at screen or touching the keyboard. Many people relate Afking to macro's and auto-ers, but there are two different types; The 'legit method', where you never really leave the keyboard, just change the screen, eat etc, or the 'il-legal way', where you leave the keyboard and screen for long periods of time, getting bots to do your work. I just saw your above post; In response... Afking is, in theory, il-legal, but when fighting a monster, it is hard to determine whether or not you're away or just looking at a different screen. Example; Right now im logged in killing Rock Crabs while typing this. I have the volume on so i can hear for random events, and when they stop being agressive. I like to say this is not against the rules, as you're really at the computer, just not on the screen when playing it. Hope this helps.
March 26, 200719 yr Author oh ok, thank you, now im not totally lost when i see afk appear ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~
March 26, 200719 yr oh ok, thank you, now im not totally lost when i see afk appear I'll break it down for you... Away From Keyboard. People AFK train at monsters which are agressive as its simple... This, as far as i know, is not technically rulebreaking... As i doubt people in Runescape will say 'I AFK at ...' If they're going to get reported. So if you hear, 'I AFK train at Bandits', they just kill them but do other things like look at forum or eat at the computer, and make sure they dont die every so often.
March 26, 200719 yr and it is said that when ure 'afkinng' youll get more randoms then normal! They are ment to "resolve" the afk thing Fletching/Fishing/Crafting/Firemaking/cooking cape owner
March 26, 200719 yr and it is said that when ure 'afkinng' youll get more randoms then normal! They are ment to "resolve" the afk thing I never knew it was said before... But since i've been training at Rock Crabs, i've gotten 4 Evil Chickens and about 5 Dwarfs, all of which can kill you. Now you take that into account, i guess JAGeX has opened their eyes to the increased number of afk trainers.
