Plod2
I want to get my fletching to 99. I am willing to spend out 500k on it. My woodcutting is 80, should I cut my own logs? When I'm 85 should I make mage longs? String or not? How much should I sell them for? dkjestrup
if you want to do it in under 500k I'd say cut 1k yews buy 1k nats for 300 ea and 1k bs for 178 gp ea (no more) cut (yew longs), string, alch. you wont lose any money if you buy the resources from here on at yews 300 nats 300 bs 178gp. if you buy the bs at 180gp you will make a 2k loss per 1k alched which will add up by the time ur at 99 Thanks Terly for the best Avatar in TipIt -winks-
Plod2
I tried doing this before and grew 6 fletching levels, I found it really hard to sell the bows. Click for blog!Watch great videos! http://uk.youtube.com/profile?user=plod64
Plod2
I've just used tip it's calc and I have to string 77,324 yew longs. So if I buy the yews for 300 each? And the bs for 180 each? It would cost me about 44m!!! If I sell them all for 600 each then I will only make a 2m profit. I thought fletching was good at making money!?!?!? Japlin Chev
For the first 1k Longs you might have to spend a bit more than 500k, but you will get your money back.. Buy 1k yews 310k on world 1, then buy 1k Bowstring 170-200k, sell the Yew longs for 550-600ea, small profit, as you make more money buy more materials. Jake_Corsair
You could also make 1k yews longs (the way dkjestrup said, except don't buy nats). Then when they are made trade the made ones for supplies and keep doing that. Yanille (world 132) is the unofficial fletching guild. There are always a lot of people there trading supplies and longs. If Jagex ever made a perfect update, there would be players complaining about nothing to complain about.[hide=My Stats][/hide]
the_god_of_soup
make enough yew longs[yews for 330, bowstrings for 200] for 85 fletching. at this, you should make magic longs, you can even alch, buying all the materials, and make money! if you want some magic experience along the way, make magic longs, buying all the materials, you get more than you buy for. for pure profit, and faster fletching, go for yew longs. don't alch, just sell for around 600 gp. The spelling and grammar of that email was that of an 11 year old palestinian goatboy who is speaking english for the first timeQuite simply, Facebook craps on Myspace. Then makes it eat the crap. Themandyou
How are yews faster?
Nabbagad
Yews are faster to chop, and faster to buy, many more people sell yews than magic logs.
