dkjestrup
at high levels they buy the ores (10k a pop) and buy the coal (175 gp ea) then they alch the item. for example - buy 3 rune ores 30k plus around 500 gp of coal. make three bars make rune legs and alch for 38k - 7.5k profit. they can easily get around 400k+ an hour. Buying iron? yes faly is best but i suggest mining ur own Thanks Terly for the best Avatar in TipIt -winks-
nicrune007
^^ sounds logical.. but does the supply of rune ores always high? and do they sell 10k ea? is there any way to earn with less than 90 smithing? Freesia
I don't think rune ores ever came close to a price of 10k each. It's usually around 11.5k each. For high lvl smithing, you can buy addy bars and make addy arrows. You should be able to profit. Can't think of anymore good ways :wall:. Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

Freesia
I still don't think there is any efficient way without too much loss. Buying steel bars and smithing into plates is one very fast way, but also extremely expensive. Otherwise, you have to use mining to help you. You can mine your own coal and buy iron ores. Make steel plates and alch. Or superheat mith ores and coal and make mith plates, then alch. These two methods aren't that fast. #-o You can check official forums for rune ore and rune bar prices, i think ore is about 11.5k-12k and bar about 14k or so. lavaownz
best iron place is south of fishing colony (swan song required) also, there is really only 1 way to make money at high smithing. buy rune ores 10k, and then buy coal and make bars. then make kite sheilds and sell in f2p for 45k-50k ea. not sure "money per hour" though Rofl. My chair has a fridge, a cooler, a toilet, a shower, and a barbecue bulit in.Hey, I may have quite Runescape, but I just bought an XBOX 360 and play way to much COD4 with the Gamertag Lava Mage
nicrune007
hmm that would require about 99 smithing and time to sell... wad i wanna know is is superheating ruen bar profitable? dkjestrup
hmm that would require about 99 smithing and time to sell... wad i wanna know is is superheating ruen bar profitable? probably. if you broght the ores for 12k ea and sold the bars for 3k ea it might be ok but the main problem is that their are'nt many rune miners so the demand for rune ores if much higher then the supply hence making legs/skirt/2h and alching is the only great way. 85 mining would make loads more money than a lvl 85 smith though Thanks Terly for the best Avatar in TipIt -winks-

reversal
As a lv 90 smither here's my take on the situation: as long as u buy iron for 100 ea shouldn't have much trouble. As for rune: rune ores cost from 11k-11.5k ea nats 300 coal 8 x 180 ea therefore rune bars cost 12740 to 13240 smither general sell items at 15k per bar therefore making 2260 per bar ie: if u sold rune 2h for 45k you make 6780 profit. hard to say how much u will make per hour because it depends on how many buyers you get. In my opinion it's better to sell full addy sets than rune sets because there are more rune sellers than addy. if you could mine rune ore then definitely you would be making some nice cash but very few miners can actually smith it. in my opinion you should at most lv 85 smithing. I'll need about 8 million more xp for lv 99 smithing. It will cost me 128 mill in steel bars to get it. Supposedly the best economical way to lv up smithing is to smith and hi alch mith plates (if you buy mith bars at 1k ea.) If you have any questions just pm me here.
