Ice Barrage help plz...

This is a quote of a message a guy wrote from another topic on this forum, but since I dont want to ask questions in other peoples topics i have made my own so here we go:

 

 

 

Use Ice burst in somebodys home combat ring with 9 friends and you can get 700k exp per hour. once you hit 94, use ice barrage and you can get 900k exp per hour

 

 

 

Is this true - i mean 900k each hour thats inzane!

yeh you could still do that, but you wouldnt get like totally insane xp.

it isnt that easy to know the "average hit on bad mage def". there are a lot of factors that decide the accuracy and strength of a spell

 

->casters mage level

 

->casters mage attack bonus

 

->victims mage level

 

->victims mage defence bonus

 

->victims defence level (some people wont believe, but jagex states that in the magic faq)

 

 

 

i personally wouldnt train mage for some serious xp with ice barrage either, as it would cost you a fortune, and there are much better (maybe slower but WAY cheaper) to train mage

Well money is not a problem, and I can see that knowing the average hit is a problem, so plz just tell me how many Ice Barrages its posibble to make in 1 min - then I can calculate what the average hit shall be to get, lets say, 750k an hour?

If money isnt a problem, and you can actually cast these spells, just try it on some high HP monsters.

 

If their HP gives you before the minute is up, just multiply it to work it out.

I think the best question is, can you find 9 friend willing to spend their night just standing there getting hit with ice barrage? Seriously, and they'll have to re-get into position each time they die, that's the most boring, waste of someone's life possible.

Yes ino, but the problem is IÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôm only 89 magic, so I cant cast Ice Barrage my self #-o

9 Friends, all wanting atleast some kind of payment for wasting their time dieing. I'd say cheapest, 50k An hour each? 450k An hour total ontop of the cost of runes.

 

 

 

I think that's an insane amount of money to get 99 mage, if you can't stand taking atleast alil more time getting 99 in any skill, then you're in for a world of painful leveling.

if i remeber right it is 1 cast every 5 seconds or something. So 60 secs a min would make it 60/5 so about 12 cast a minute? i doubt that is accurate but it is about right.

That's 450k an hour if you can talk 9 friends into standing still and letting you cast on them an hour. Honestly, 50k is very cheap, and I'd honestly like alil more to be target practice.

 

 

 

Also, you didn't read my post very good. I said "450k plus the cost of runes"

 

 

 

Ice barrages takes 2 Bloods, 4 deaths, 6 waters. We'll not even include the waters, and say you're super human and click-cast all that. If you get the runes at their cheapest right now, (500 and 300) You're looking at 2,200 gold at cast.)

 

 

 

I think the average cast time pers spell is 3 seconds. So, that's 44k spent every minute. 2.64 mil spent an hour.

 

 

 

If you manage 800k an hour, me getting from 96-99 mage would, if I did my math right, and lord, I doubt I did, 11mil right there.

 

 

 

Now, plus the money for your friends, the time finding, convincing, and actually having 9 friends reliable enough to stand there for the hours, letting you cast......, and having none of them actually get bored, hungry, and be devoted to soley letting you, their high-mighty all important friend use them for practice.

 

 

 

Seriously, If you wanna blow money and level mage really fast, freaking fail-stun or something using a mud staff.

 

 

 

Stop trying to advocate a horrid method, and actually take people's advice when they're trying to help you.

Also, I used Burst at PC, cause it was fairly fast for leveling my mage, and, in my opinion, if you -must- use this kind of method, use PC, packed portals are nearly as good as friedns standing there, you're doing something usefull for others, and the bonus PC points likely will make it faster.

 

 

 

BUT

 

 

 

If you want high mage, I'd assume it's partly to PK using it also, and, having hit such a high HP with my level, being a "barrows pure" I'm having a tough time dealing with the higher hp/lower att/str when PKing, and your method will give you -alot- of HP experience.

yeh it is some guy payed me and 8 others to get owned in a boxing ring lol i think it was 200k each o.O
