You mean a Woodcutting axe? You'll have to kill some of the Zombies that you came across earlier in the dungeon to get a bronze axe as a drop.

You managed to find this forum to ask, and yet seemed to miss Tip.It's main feature of the site, their Questions section, which tells you everything you need to do....

You're just going to have to kill it with the axe that you get (if you haven't brought materials to make any other weapon).

I read the guide, it doesn't tell you how to kill the tree spirit, the spirit killed me in no time. Do I just need to bring a lot of food?

Actually, I'm fairly sure in the guide it mentions either melee'ing it with the axe, or safe spotting it with runes behind mushrooms.

 

 

 

That said, also, common sense when fighting any kind of "boss like" monster, you should bring food, specially if you knew what combat levels aid boss would be.

Don't mind me, but would you tell us your combat level? Perhaps the Tree Spirit might be too hard for your level, though if I remember correctly it wasn't that hard.

Use any fire type spell and hide behind the mushrooms. You will probably die pretty quickly using melee.

You may also wish to bring some fletching and crafting items to make your own ranger armour and weapons ON THE ISLAND. You can bring leather, needles, threads, arrows (these are allowed), unstrung bows, and bow strings to the island.

 

 

 

You must defeat it: range, melee, or magic, just kill it! When fighting the tree spirit, it hits for up to 10 damage. But you can trap it on the far side of the rocks and/or mushrooms and safely range/mage it to death.

 

 

 

It does give you a little tip on how to kill the tree spirit. It also tells you that you can make your own range armor and weapons.

Instead of bringing (for example) an air staff, fire runes and chaos runes, bring cahos runes, fire runes and air runes, easy as cake.

Nope, only runes. Staves just give you an infinate number of air runes. (That is if you have an air staff).

you just have to bring runes, hide behind muchromms, and mage it. u should have killed the zombies and gotten a axe. try to chop the tree it comes out, run behind mushrooms, mage away. YOU DO NOT NEED A STAFF TO CAST SPELLS!

did you notice that in tutorial island where YOU NEVER GOT A STAFF you actually CASTED MAGIC WITHOUT A STAFF?!
