Best place to mine gold?

Featured Replies

I'm mining gold to earn some cash, and get my crafting/mining/smithing XP up.

ATM I'm using the Dwarven Mines.

My crafting is level 5.

is there anywhere better to mine?

Pretty much anywhere is better than the dwarven mines.

Dwarven mines even has gold rocks? Try the Crafting guild if you can get in there.

I am only level 5 crafting. :/

Any other ideas?

Stick with killing cows - cowhides - tan leather - leather items. Kill or pick up about 100 cowhides before you tan the leather and craft. You'll be lvl 20 - 30 within 4-5 hours max, I think.

On a lot of worlds, people are killing the cows for combat exp or meat, and dont pick up the cowhides. So you'll probably only need to kill about 10 cows and pick up the rest for a full load.

mkae pots.. then just move your way onto that.. and its best to get your own cow hide when i total up the costs for all the hide it adds up

The Karamaja Volcano has four gold rocks right at the entrance from where you come into the volcano. Only problem is that there are lvl 25 skeletons near there, and sometimes a loose one will wander over to the rocks. If you're a higher combat lvl (51 or over), no need to worry, they won't attack :D

Hm... I guess the Dwarven mines are my best bet then, being the closest to the bank and all.

r u f2p or p2p?

F2P.

On f2p, get about 350 cow hides (2hrs)

Go to Al-Kharid, take money, a needle and about 50 thread and the rest hides.

Tan them, start walking to the bank and while walking start making boots or whatever you can make.

Repeat this and each time you level up, make the best thing you can.

I did this yesterday on my newb account and got to level 28 with that amount. Total time pacing back and forth and crafting was 90 minutes approx.

Total time 3.5 - 4 hours.

Crafting gold into amulets is nice way for smithers to get crafting up as a sideline btw.

Don't follow me. You might not make it.

All your accounts are belong to us now.
If this were a dictatorship, it'd be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator

I am F2P, so that point is irrelevant.

I am currently training my crafting in order to get into the guild. Just got to get another 1K cowhides. :boohoo:
