April 23, 200719 yr aoe's answer is correct. This is confirmed by one of the master merchanters (r2pleasant). He even made a forum petition a while back to adjust it. The reason for that cap is because each bank space have to a preset limit of 30 character binary, ie: 2^31-1 = 2,147,483,648 After which the item pile up on another bank/inventory space. This limit is true for any item, not just coins. All I learned in life, I learned on Tip.it
