I really can't believe i havent found a topic about it, i just saw it and for me it was EASILY the best movie of 07 so far. This movie was definetly better than Shaun of the Dead. It started a little slow but it was amazing, especially all the action at the end...if you haven't seen it yet you need to go see it now :mrgreen:

 

For those of you who don't know what it is about, its from the same people who brought you Shaun of the Dead, and it is about a top notch cop whos fellow officers get him transfered to a small town because he is making them look bad. Shortly after he arrives a series of murders occur and he has to solve it in a city of...idiots. :anxious: It basically pokes fun at a lot of action movies, and it is funny as heck!

I actually liked Shaun of the Dead better (wrote a little about this in the what movies did you last see topic), but I still really enjoyed this one. The first 2/3 or so was just all setup for the last 1/3 of the movie, not much really went on during that time. The 2/3 was OK, but nothing special. The last 1/3 of the movie completely redeemed it though, and made the movie great overall.

I am really hoping I can get my dad to take me or something, 'cause it looks awesome.

It's not as good as SotD. It's basically a different genre, but with the same kind of jokes. No doubt, it's funny, hilarious at times, but I couldn't help but feel I'd seen it all before.

I hope my mom will get a car and take me and my sister... Shaun of the Dead was awesome, and I really want to see this one.

Yep, saw the preview for it before the movie.

 

 

 

Might be good, but doesn't look as interesting to me as Hot Fuzz or SotD looked.

 

 

 

Also I found out Edgar Wright did the spoof trailer "Don't" in Grindhouse :P .

Man I loved Shaun of the Dead! I had no idea Hot Fuzz had come out yet. I'm glad so many people like it, I want to see it so bad. :mrgreen:

Simon Pegg wouldnt do a sequel to Shaun of the Dead, he wont even make a series 3 of Spaced. He knows when to move on and not to water down a concept

^ Which is always a good sign. All the greatest shows go out when their time is right: Fawlty Towers, The Office, Gladiators..

 

 

 

The one's that drag too many series, ultimately, dilute their success. Think: Friends (IMO never good), Scrubs, Seinfeld.

Damn, another good film I need to go see.

Loved this movie... especially when Simon Peg booted that old lady in the face.... priceless. I nearly fell off the seat I laughed so hard.

AWW MAN! i was supposed to see that with my friend last night and i forgot all about it lol... ty for reminding me i might go tonight!

This was the best movie I've seen in quite a long time. Its just plain fun, the ending is like nothing else! I enjoyed Shaun of the Dead and I think this is even better. But yeah the last ~40 mins was the best I've seen in a movie in a very very long time.

They're not showing it at any of the local theaters, unless I want to drive 30 minutes downtown. I can't wait to get it on DVD though

I want to see this movie. Shaun of the Dead was hilarious.
