Well I don't know for sure, I need 337k steel bars or 222k gold ores,so steel bars are probably some faster when you are at an anvil but they need alot more running and 110k extra steel bars is alot.

Any membersadvise on this?

Definately gold ores...

Gold Ores = 1k ores smelted per hour... that's 56,000 exp per hour

Steel Bars = 1k smithed per hour... that's 37,000 exp per hour

You can smith 2k bars per hour easy, and only smelt about 800 ores. Mith is the way to go, you'll get more of your investment back, and level up twice as fast as with gold. Unless you're going to craft your gold bars, gold ore is a complete waste of money and time once you can make mith plates (level 68). Mith plates will sell very easily for 2.9kea, or you can simply alch them yourself. Mith plates alch for 3120.

Gold ores with gants, its the only way to go...but you lose huge amounts of money.

gold ores you lose no money

buy gold ores 500 ea

If you have high fletching you should do addy arrows. Buy bars for 2k each, logs for 100ea, and feathers for 10ea. 2000+100+150=2250. Sell the arrows for 150ea and congratulations, you just got smithing exp and fletching exp without losing any money!
