Can I get into trouble for this?

Featured Replies

Being a f2p now for the past 2 weeks I have been seriously annoyed by the almost countless amount of beggars around bugging me, so I'm thinking of putting public chat to friends when I play, However, the case of there will always be wanna-be mods who will assume the no-talking people to be autoers may try to report me for rule 7. Can I be assured that I will not be banned for rule 7 just because I put public chat friends? Oh and I will definitely respond if a mod does talk to me.

Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

I'm not sure, but I walk around with public chat off a lot and I have yet to be reported or have a warning by jagex.

I wouldn't think so. I'm sure that if you were reported, Jagex would be able to see see that you're not autoing. In fact, there are plenty of people who either just ignore beggers, followers, etc. or have chat on 'Friends' and haven't gotten in trouble for it. In fact, most of the beggers who fall victim to being ignored just think to themselves, "Geeze, those higher level players are so rude and never talk to anyone!" I think more people think that way rather than, "OMG AUTOER!"

Either way, I'm sure you'll be fine :)

I have been ignoring those beggars for past few days and usually it ends up with the "I am autoer" claim compared to "I am rude" claim <.<

I spend a bit of time in F2P, and a lot of that time not talking, for the reasons you've mentioned.

I wouldn't stress about it TBH

All the best for your F2P time :-)

Of course you have the right to remain silent! If you dont want to talk, you dont have to talk, and you will *not* get into trouble for it.

Please think before you ask a question. If you ask the right question, its much more likely you get the answer you are looking for :)

=D> Gugge is completly right. They can't give you a black mark because of the fact that you don't want to talk.
