barrow set up help...

Featured Replies

hey I wanted to do barrows again...

But I'm wondering what setup would fit me best.. here are my current stats:

I'm wondering what I should wield (and take in inventory)

current things I'm considering (please tell me if there's even a better way :) ):

setupproselyteue6.jpg

basicly full proselyte + red dhide/whip. This way I'm going to pray at all monsters (maybe partly not at guthans..). Problem with this setup is that I still fail sometimes... Also my ranging is very low so ahrims is hard for me. + this is pretty expensive.

the other thing I'm considering is:

setupmysticzk8.jpg

basicly mystic (for brothers) + best melee (for caves) + range (for ahrim)

problem is that I don't know if mystic (with 67 def) can be enough at guthan + torag without pray.. Also it allows me to have less inventory spots..

anybody got some usefull advice for me here? - also look at my stats please (can't wield black dhide..)

thanks in advance

First they came to fishing

and I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing

Then they came to the yews

and I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews

Then they came for the ores

and I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores

Then they came for me

and there was no one left to speak out for me.

I still think you're better off wearing just melee chest and legs and probably just keep mystic gloves. The melee brothers have extremely weak magic def and you would probably still hit well with very low magic attack bonus. Since karil has slightly higher magic def than the melee ones, you'll want to pray and take melee armor off. Well since you are already so close to 70 ranged, would it hurt to train 1 more lvl? :| Don't bring granite plate, big weighload to your shoulders. :shame:

Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

Try Mystic top and rune legs? or Rune plate and mystic top?

I personally wear mystic top and d'hide chaps and take a rune plate for the tunnel :)

go with the mystic one, just with rune arrows, thats what i do.

also wear a ring of life(cause you can never be too carefull :ohnoes: )

i use a new account now "knex2"

Your stats are quite decent. The only thing i'll suggest for now is up your def to 70, then get full torag. That way you can save on fight torag, veracs, guthans w/o p pot. Over the long term try get your prayer higher.

1) always wear ring of life

2) Try get lvl 70 def then wear torag, the only armor you need then is dhide and torag

3) No need for mystic, it weights you down and tbh, the number of misses doesn't improve by that much.

4) Try to bring as much food as you can. 10 food = 1 p pot dose

5) build a altar and bring teletabs instead. That way you get your prayer refilled each time and your 1-click tele.

All I learned in life, I learned on Tip.it

Also if you are using the Canifis teleport you can use the ancient mace on a /man/woman/werewolf at the bank and get a nice prayer bonus.

Don't forget to bank the the mace after to save room.

Anyway a strong melee defence and good range armour is the best choice.
