Setting up a Wii

I just bought one and i was wondering if theres anything i have to do when setting it up. I know i have to register it to get the online content, can anybody give me some details on that? apart from that is it just plug in and play?

Well, you've got your normal power supply cable then the A/V cable too (the red, white, and yellow plugs). In addition, you've got the sensor bar, which normally goes on the top of your TV. Other than that, there's nothing special about it - it's fairly simple.

 

 

 

With the online content, I believe there's a serial number somewhere on your Wii. Go to nintendo.com, make an account, and you can register your games and consoles (using the serial number). I'm unsure of where exactly to do, since I did this a while ago.

ok.. and i register with club nintendo and thats it? i can buy stuff from the shopping channel ect once i have points?

Another question.. The SD memory card - what can i put on it that will play on a wii?

 

 

 

videos?

 

music?

 

photos?

 

 

 

(nothing illegal - i know u can get hacks to put on the card but i dont want to)

It might alreadybe registered? when i got mine i didnt have to do anything when i set it up and it works fine, i use all the channels perfectly

 

 

 

does that include the shopping channel and the wiiconnect24?
