It's not really that helpful. I tried doing that, but I'm asking you guys as a community to help me sift through the nonsense and get to the good stuff. Plus, there's no point to reading an update that came out in '07 if its benefits are already obsolete, right? And thanks for the tips, Sinkhan. Few follow up questions: - Any tips on what exactly to farm? I'm willing to put effort into it if it means making money. - Think I should just go to different slayer tasks for combat levels (I'm only 102, I suppose I should work that up if I want to take on Nex or whatever haha), and use the charms from the drops to level summoning at the same time? I guess what I'm asking is, is that a typical/beneficial plan? - I guess the "relevance" question I was getting at was in regards to all these new abbreviations and acronyms I keep hearing. People talk about Bandos a lot; I only just figured out what that was (thought people were talking about the trimmed armor, haha). I mean, the whip used to be amazing, and now I guess it sucks. What weapons/armor are preferred nowadays?

So I'm considering getting back into the RS swing of things as of recently. I doubt anyone remembers me, but I used to frequent these forums long ago. Can't play nearly as much as I used to, but it's fun every now and then. Problem is, everything's changed so much that I have no idea what's going on. (I played for a month over two years ago, but totally forget how I leveled summoning, haha.) I have a few questions: - I'm hearing lots of talk of "the only way to make money is through combat (and maybe farming)". I used to be a hardcore RCer, but is that not a viable skill for cash moneys anymore? How can I make decent money nowadays? I only have about 4-5M to my name right now. Is farming still horrifically boring? - Similar to the previous question, is there anything from '07 that's still relevant? Gear/skill training methods/anything? - Should I be leveling summoning just because of the utility of the familiars? Seems they help with every other skill in some way. - I used to be able to wear my quest cape, but obviously no longer. Should I go through and do every quest again? Are they worth it? Got 77 strength, 78 defence, 61 slayer, and a few more summoning levels in the past couple days. Hellhounds are a really good source for charms; I'll either continue my slaying adventures or camp there for 54 summoning. Then it's back to RC!

Wow, and I thought crafting 6k ess yesterday was a lot. I managed to craft 14k today. Went from ~500k net worth when I got back to about 5M after 5 days. Woo! Time to kill for charms.

I loved seeing all those dragon boots drops. Amazing job. Good luck with full total level!

Been a while since I've seen you around. (My fault, not yours.) Good luck with herblore and farming; those will forever remain my two most hated skills.

With those stats, I don't doubt you can get 200m xp. Have fun getting there. :)

err, whats wrong with that? It's, original (sp?) but not that wierd. Well, Zaq's one of my best friends, and he told me that his name doesn't mean anything; it's completely random. So I think it's just weird. A lot of the names that people are posting now are original and creative, but not necessarily weird. I guess my perception of weird is different. o_O

At some point, I read all the rules. Though, starting out, I think I just dove in. Unlike most of the RS population, I had common sense going into playing, and since that's what 95% of the rules are, I was able to play without ever getting a black mark.

Hmm... even now, speaking from a retired standpoint, I don't think I regret Runescape. I was always proficient in school, and it didn't come between my schoolwork (much). I still talk with a few of my very good friends from Runescape, and I'm glad I was there to meet them. It also taught me some good economic skills and such, so although it ate up my time (which wouldn't have been put to much better use), I still am glad I played for the time I did.

My red mask that I used to have ( ) rose 5 mil in the month before I bought it, then dropped 1 mil in the time I had it.

Those were the good days. what are EVs and IVs anyway? nowadays people are in it for the competition *still looks back at the days of red and blue with comfort* Effort values/individual values. Pkrs doesn't do A, B, C, or D. It's a rare, helpful condition that doubles the EV's a Pokemon gets from battling. It doesn't level up your Pokemon any faster, it just speeds up EV training. It can only be spread by battling with other Pokemon in your party that have the virus. Once a Pokemon is in your party for more than 24 hours (usually), it will lose Pkrs and have a smiley face where the icon used to be. This means that it still gets the benefits of Pkrs but it can't spread it around. Should you get a Pokemon with this virus, spread it to Pokemon you don't use and stash them in your box; they can't lose the virus if they're in boxes. There's everything you need to know about Pkrs *sigh*. MJ, can you stop spamming/annoying up this topic? -.-

Hola, peoples! MJ, I replied to your PM, so check your inbox. Finally beat the Elite Four and got the National Dex! I also got a Ditto, so I have more starter Pokemon and Spiritomb than I need. So, if you're interested in: Piplup, Turtwig, Chimchar, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Treecko, Spiritomb; make me an offer for any of them! I'm really looking for the starters I don't have, and if you have any legendaries (mostly not from D/P), I might double up on some of my offers (ie, you get your choice of two starters for a Lugia, or whatever). Also got a female Combee today, and the Vespiquen soon followed. Making progress towards 493, slowly but surely! :D

You should probably leave and come back. First, you need 6 Pokemon. That's a no brainer - you have 6 slots, use 'em effectively. Second, your Infernape is much to unbalanced compared to the rest of your party. If your Infernape goes down, you have nothing to protect you. So train your Pokemon somewhere, even if it's with Exp. Share, to get them to near 40's before attempting to beat Cyrus. That's what I was planning on doing, it's going to be verrrry irritating coming back up Mt. Coronet though, ah well. Thanks for the help :D No problem. ;) I'm a Pokemon vet (still have my Pokemon Red game <3), but I don't keep up with EV's and IV's and breeding and all that junk. Is either your Infernape or Empoleon female? I hope I can trust you, because I'd be willing to trade a Dialga (pretty much untouched) for either Infernape or Empoleon female, breed a couple eggs, then trade back. Can you check that for me?
