~ Chapter 5, Necklace of Souls - part 1 ~

"Give me the necklace now." Gawain spoke slowly. As if he was still recovering from Zamorak's illusion. "I need it. Give it to me." Oscar shook his head. Gawain began a rampage.

"You don't know how long I have waited to get that necklace. You don't know what I've been through to get here." He paces up and down the store, turns to Oscar and shouts right at him. "You just don't understand do you?"

Oscar shaked his head. "Your right, I probably don't understand it. Why should I? It is none of my buisness. Now calm down sir, or you must leave." He looked calmly into Gawain's eyes. Not blinking. Trying to unnerve him.

"Calm down? or leave?" Gawain walked up to the bookshelves, and threw half a dozen books into the furnace. "You have no power over me, old man. In fact, I should make the rules here."

"Oh really?" Dervish wiped the last of the vomit from his mouth. "Then why are we in control? Surely we'd let you do what you like if you made the rules?" Dervish laughed. Teasing the mage. Infuriating him.

"That is because you think you are in control of me. An illusion. Like the one i have just experienced. Except much less horrific." Gawain looked at the floor. "Zamarak showed me the death's, the deaths of so many. Warfare like that was truly scary."

"They all died, each in strange ways. With thier heads chopped off or guts ripped out." Gawain calmed down, but his fists were clenched. Ready to throw a punch at any time. "You can't even imagine what horrors I've seen. So don't make fun of me.

"Silence, and give me the necklace of souls. Or pay the price."

~ Chapter 5, Necklace of Souls - part 2 ~

The name of the necklace was revealed. But the name made it seem more deadly than it appears. "The necklace of souls? That's what this thing is when enchanted?" Oscar asked, curious of the jewel.

"No, that is what it is now. When enchanted it contains a soul. All this jewel can do is be the container of a soul. Releasing the being inside to the one who wears it." Gawain laughed. He obviously wanted this power for himself. He described it as if the soul was powerful.

"But the soul depends of the enchanter, if someone with a pure heart enchants it. The soul is pure. But if a heart like mine gave it power. The soul will be evil." Gawain frowned, he reached out again. But was stopped by Dervish, who held his sword next to his neck.

"The Zamorakian crystal makes a necklace of souls. But what about a saradomin crystal? If one exists. What necklace does that make?" Dervish demanded. Angered by Gawain's attitude to danger.

"That is a different legend for a different time. I wasn't sure if this necklace existed for sure, how would I know if the enemy has a similar necklace?" Although Gawain was an enemy, he spoke the truth. Through and through.

Dervish put his sword away. But prepared to attack Gawain. In case he made any sudden moves. "But why is this necklace so important to you?"

"Did you hear him say about a great power he discovered?" Gawain asked, Oscar and Dervish both nodded. "This necklace was the great power. One was enchanted by good, the other enchanted by bad. Zamorak found the bad, Saradomin found the good."

"The necklaces held the spirits of all those who died fighting in the first war. This enabled Zamorak to become a god like he is now. He absorbed the souls on his side of the war. Saradomin absorbed his own as well."

"The power to become a god... is right in your hands!"

~ Chapter 5, Necklace of Souls - part 3 ~

"I need that necklace so give it to me now. It is the only thing that can repay for my sins." Gawain looked desperate. Oscar and Dervish however were less willing to hand it over than they were before.

"A necklace with this kind of power should not be given to anyone. Neither you, nor I deserve it's strength." Oscar said calmly. Ignoring the threats Gawain made. "It should be destroyed." At that Gawain screamed and picked up his staff.

"If you won't give it to me willingly. Then I'll use brute force to get what I want. I desire that more than anything else. Without that, Master will punish me. For eternity left to the fires of hell. that destiny is not mine. Now give me that necklace.

Dervish drew his sword and slashed at Gawain. But the sword was stopped by the staff. Which Gawain held high. So dervish was forced back, but persisted to attack. But everytime he attacked, he failed. Whether Gawain dodged, or it was blocked. Dervish could not land a hit.

"Pathetic." Gawain looked at Dervish, aiming his staff steadily. Oscar could do nothing. Inevitably, Gawain went on the offensive. He shot a red ball of power at Dervish, it hurtled through the air at an inhuman speed. Hitting Dervish and sending him flying.

He burst through the wall beside Charles, who went to his aid. Fortunately, Dervish was just unconscious. Charles let out a sigh of relief and turned to to the battly.

He saw Oscar and Gawain in a battle of magic. Oscar shot a lighting bolt, and Gawain let out a beam of red energy. The two attacks collided and fought for supremacy.

Both mages put more magical energy into thier attacks. But Oscar was the first to run out. So he dodged to the side as the beam overwhelmed the lighting. It struck the necklace, making it glow. It was enchanted. Gawain picked it up, and put it on.

Then, magic overflowed from the mage's body. Bursting through his skin. His burns healed at an alarming rate. "I am a god!" Gawain shrieked. He leaped up and down and did one last move before vanishing from sight.

He pointed his staff at the furnace, which exploded with the power channeled into it. Setting the whole building alight- with Oscar inside it. Not long after the inferno started Oscar came out screaming. Flesh burning under the heat. He collapsed and didn't move.

Oscar was dead.

Thanks, but I already had a plot in mind. it just needed the opening events. The Goblin battle and ruby's death were vital for my story to continue. Without those occurances, the story falls apart.

~ Chapter 6, After Hell - part 1 ~

Gawain had left, but evidence of his appearance was scattered all over Lumbridge. The clearest of which was the jewel shop, which was now just a furnace. The books, the gems. They all burnt. Along with the shopkeeper.

The fire didn't end there however, Geoffrey lost his shop to the blaze as well. All that was left of his small hut, was stone ruins. The very foundations were the only pleasant sight of it. The rest was just ash.

Lumbridge was calm. Not a bird sang in the clear skies. Not a wind blew through the village. Not a goblin disturbed the silence. It was as if the scenary felt the pain of the villagers. The ruin of the village itself. The devastation of all.

But even in the dark hours of that time, hope still shone on thier lives. They were the Destined ones, the folk of Lumbridge. The most heroic in all the lands.

But this hope was a relief to all the darkness. People slaying the peril. Cutting through the depression. It may not seem like much. But company was this saviour. Having each other was like heaven for these simple peasants.

But it was not just them there, helping to rebuild the village. Three others, from other places came. To help the desperate. One in blue, one in shining armour. The other dressed in red.

The red was the first to greet them. "I heard what Gawain did to this village. I am Petra, a leader of Zamorak's followers. Along with the other few leaders. Which Gawain is one of." Petra looked down. Her words drowned with pity.

"Zamorak's folowers are not inhuman, we merely dislike Saradomin. Who was given everything from birth." Sadness was substituted by anger. "You know that don't you? You found out?" Charles nodded. "Gawain has faced many challenges in the past. Do not blame his misjudgement. Please."

"He is my husband. I cannot bear to think of life without him. He is faithful and loyal. Please understand." Petra left off. Crying. Not comprehending her husband's treachery. A blue mage came next.

"I am Gawain's brother." He said. "I am Darunia."

~ Chapter 6, After Hell - part 2 ~

"Me and my brother, we were close as children. We always played, told jokes and got along well. However." Darunia continued after a short pause. Then spoke quietly. "Our lives were similar to that of Zamorak's and Saradomin's. I was the blessed, he was the cursed. I followed Saradomin. As most men do these days. However, Gawain chose the path of Zamorak."

"Now he's found the power Zamorak found long ago. Except I didn't discover it as well. Now Destiny could well be aginst us. For the souls of the army was absorbed by Zamorak. The only power left in it was the previous user's soul. That is Zamorak."

"Gawain has absorbed Zamorak's soul. Freeing him from his prison. But in return, Giving Gawain his strength. So now, fighting aginst Gawain is not an easy task. As it will be fighting against Zamarak himself. Aided with the power Gawain originally held."

"I am the leader of the saradomin clan. The Dragonal clan." Everyone was startled by this news. " Our clan was not wiped out by the raid, but there are little of us left. Fortunately, our numbers are rising. So we will give our aid in helping the defeat of Zamorak." He bowed then walked off.

He walked over to Petra, who was picking up the remains of the general store. He comforted her. Showed sympathy for her. Even though they were enemies. If only life was like that thought Charles.

Dervish arrived with a sack full of ore. He was not his cheerfulself since his battle with Gawain, in fact he hasn't smiled since. His body was on autopilot. Walking through the crowds of people, straight up to the furnace. He put the ores in one by one, still concentrating on the ground before him. Perplexed at the actions before.

Charles was finally greeted by a knight dressed in silver and gold armour. He hair was long and her smile was gentler than a cool summer breeze. She wore no helmet, so her face was easy to see.

"Charles is it?" Charles nodded, allowing her to continue. "My name is Lucia, the strongest varrock knight. And Duke Betwoc's most trusted advisor." She was well mannered and beautiful. Worthy of such titles.

"Gawain has caused many problems in Varrock. Now Zamorak mages roam the streets. Eradicating those who look at them with fear, but no respect. As I speak, they are burning the churches without hesitation."

"Those two came on thier own will." Lucia pointed at Petra an Darunia. "But I was sent as an escort for a representative of Lumbridge to see Duke Betwoc."

"Normally we would let you decide, but we silver knights wish for Dervish to come. As he had a first-person view of the incident. But of course, he does not live here. So I'd also like Charles to come."

"Is that ok, you two?" Charles and Dervish nodded. "Good, now follow me."

~ Chapter 6, After Hell - part 3 ~

Unlike before, the goblins decided to attack. Dervish and Charles did not participate. But Lucia did. She enjoyed it. But found it easy. "Killing goblins is a walk in the park for me." Lucia said. Bloodthirsty for more.

Lucia had her weapons at the ready, she had a silver sword. Which had a dragon on it's handle. The sword reflected sunlight into Charles eyes, so he lost focus. And saw she had a silver kiteshield in her hand as well.

Lucia saw Charles interest. "My weapons are unique to the silver knights clan. Found in Varrock, we are the king's guardians. I am thier leader. So I teach many. This kite has my clan's symbol engraved on it."

She turned round, walking backwords, and showed Charles the Shield. He could see a gold demon and dragon fighting on the kite. The dragon let out gold flames, while the demon grabbed at it rashly.

"I also have a silver bow. And a silver quiver, with silver tipped arrows in it. I have mastered all combat skills, except magic." She laughed and swung her sword around. Nearly impaling Dervish, who ducked. "But who cares about magic? It's not nearly as strong as melee or range." She laughed again.

Despite her formal appearance. She was carefree, and a child at heart. "Well here we are. Varrock." she pointed at the distant town coming up. A sign read:

Warning! Be careful of bears and giant rats. Warning!

"An infestation of rats appeared last week." Lucia spoke clearly, and formally. Now that they had left the forest, she wanted to look more polite again. "They have been feeding on cadaver and red berries. Which mutated them into what they are today."

"These rats are fairly nutricious, but poisonous to humans. Bears however, seem to feast on them. So they have thrived as well. But all this feeding makes them agreesive. We have lost many lives becuase of this.

They entered the town, a man in red walks by. "Zamorak folowers have claimed the eastern and southern parts of the town. My home is in the west. Where they fear to tread because of the barbarians there. Be careful."

They arrive at a busy town centre, with people running in all directions. especially to the west and north. The three make a detour to the north. Strolling calmly through the stampeding citizens.

"Here we are." Lucia smiled. "Varrock Palace. The most majestic place in the world!"

~ Chapter 7, Varrock Palace - Part 1~

The trio entered the palace in a hurry, willing to end the Zamorak reign over half the town. But Charles and Dervish held little hope, they had learnt to do so back at Lumbridge. Where almost everything went wrong.

The courtyard was as beautiful as Lucia said. All around them, flowers grew in patterns. All kinds being planted. The tree's stood tall. Over the rest of the plants, even taller than the outer walls. A statue of Duke Betwoc stood in the centre. The stone eyes looking towards the entrance to the palace.

They reached the doors swiftly, Charles examined the workmanship on one side. The edge of the door was decorated with gold snakes. These snakes look very realistic. Charles thought.

The snakes curled round the edges of the double doors, thier heads rested in the centre. Used as doorknobs as the snake's head sticks out from the door.

"Like it?" Lucia asked. "These doors were my idea. The snakes are made from snakeskin which were painted gold. All we had to do then was to arrange it like this. That was the hardest part."

"It's beautiful." Dervish said in an unrealistic way. He did not care too much about decorations as an ex-tramp, but he still believed that nobility was a curse.

They're pompous idiots, noblemen and women. I'd rather be a tramp than a stuck-up fool anyday. Dervish had mentioned while he was still a tramp. Since then none of his views on life had changed. He was carefree, but stubborn towards his beliefs.

Seeing a Nobleman, for him, might be hell. I hope he doesn't do anything over the top. Lumbridge can't take that sort of blame from Varrock. Charles gulped at that. Going to war with Varrock would be a lost cause- Lumbridge will lose.

But Dervish can make it happen.

~ Chapter 7, Varrock Palace - Part 2 ~

Navigating inside the palace was nightmare for everyone. Every corridor leads to another. The stairs lead up to more useless corridors. To rooms with many noblemen and women. But not the one they were looking for. Duke Betwoc evaded thier eyes. Concealed in his room. Forced to guess which one to go in.

"I think it is this one." Lucia exclaimed. Unsure of her own knowledge, she made Dervish and Charles nervous. Not sure on how to get back themselves, if Lucia can't help them. Then they could be stuck in the Palace for a long time.

They go in, opening the door quickly. Eager to discover whether Lucia was right or not. However, all they found was the portrait room. Filled with paintings of all kinds. But all of similar people.

"These paintings are of the silver knight clan. the room is filled with it's most valued members. Including my daughter, heir to the title head of silver knights." Lucia gave Charles and Dervish a quick tour of the room before proceeding to find the duke.

"This is Rita, my daughter. Talo, my brother. He was a strong candidate for the title of hier. But my daughter won the duel for the honour. Talo was never a big fighter." She laughed and continued to speak. "All these people have done something heroic in thier lives to become a silver knight. It is one of the biggest gifts awarded from the Duke due to acts of bravery. But we must go now."

Charles, Lucia and Dervish searched the Palace through and through for what seemed like hours on end. Every door they opened led to another room, witch drained every last bit of energy out of them.

Ballrooms, kitchens, portrait rooms and even a bathroom was opened to them. "I'm glad no one was in there when we opened the door." Dervish said casually. They all laughed and continued.

They reach the end of a corridor. "Fingers crossed." Lucia opened the door.

~ Chapter 7, Varrock Palace - Part 3 ~

The trio had finally reached the room they were looking for. The room that took them so long to find. They nearly callapsed from exhaustion. In fact, the room was right next to the entrance.

Duke Betwoc was fat and ugly. His seat could barely lift his weight and the legs appeared bent slightly. He was in the middle of finishing his supper. Which was soup for starters, lobster with tomatoes and cheese for the main meal. And a pineapple pizza for dessert.

He was eating his last pizza slice when they arrived. He nearly choked on his food due to thier sudden appearance. When the duke finally swallowed his last slice, he addressed Lucia politely. Not like the pig he appeared to be. "Hello Lucia, It took you a while to get here. What took you?"

"Well a group of bandits ambushed us. My blade is still drying from the blood. Goblins were also a problem. But were more like small annoyances than obstacles." Lucia smiled. Her face went red. As if the body reacted to her lies.

"Hmm... bandits eh? Those highwaymen are to the west of Lumbridge. Not the east. Your lying Lucia and your doing a very bad job of it too. I was worried stiff. What, with Gawain off on a rampage and half of varrock being taken over I never expected to see you again."

Lucia looked down, disgraced with her actions. Lying to a Duke was punishable by law. Many have been killed due to lying to a nobleman. Lucia could be next. No matter what her influence stood over the Duke. "Lucia, please leave me and these two alone. I wish to speak to them in private." Lucia left the room obediantly. Eyes still on the floor.

"Prepare peasants!" The duke announced. Even though they were in the same room. Which was actually quite small for a noblemen's bedroom. "You are in the presence of Duke Betwoc! Duke of half of Varrock." He smiled sheepishly. He was a proud man. His character was similar to Wildheart's personality.

Perhaps The Duke is Wildheart's father? Charles thought. But dispelled it immeadiately. The son of a nobleman? Him? No way! Charles accidently laughed. This made it appear to the duke that he was laughing at his title.

"Excuse me. May i know your names." The Duke asked politely.

"Yes, I'm Charles and this is Dervish." Charles pointed to the tramp on the other side of the room. Examining ornaments. "He was once a Varrock tramp. But his life's had quite a few fortunes since them."

"Has he now? I'm pleased for him. But you speak to me too casually. I warn you now." The duke paused and grabbed the attention of Dervish.

"Speak to me like that again, and I will have your heads hung. Do you understand?" Dervish and Charles nodded. "Good, now on to buisness."

~ Chapter 7, Varrock Palace - Part 4 ~

"I called you here on the matter on Gawain. A strong Zamorak mage, who has recently been terrorising the citizens of my town. I will not stand for this, so have gathered information from a liable source that he acquired his power at Lumbridge." Charles and Dervish confirmed this, they also told him of the necklace and the fight at Lumbridge.

"Well then, we need to fight off this strong threat. Otherwise the civilians will perish. All over the world." Duke Betwoc thought silently for a few moments. During this eerie silence. Charles noticed the lack of sounds coming from outside the castle, outside the room. Even outside the group at the table.

All was quiet. No people in the centre making a fuss. No one in the corridor walking to get some files. Not even the mice running across the floor made a niose. Just complete and utter silence. A silence that was whole. That was complete.

"I need you to get some others from Lumbridge to fight in this battle against Gawain. Those there shall be accompanied by Petra, Darunia and Lucia." The Duke told them of the plan. But Dervish disliked the idea.

"Just us? That necklace makes the wielder to become a god. You expect one village filled with untrained fighters, who may not even be willing to go, and three others, two of which have deep connections with him, to defeat a god?" Dervish demanded. Having no hope for this fight.

"Yes." Duke Betwoc replied calmly. "The rest of his followers shall be engaged in combat by the silver knights. Who are being reinforced by the white knights of Falador. You have no need to worry."

Dervish stpped back. Picturing the worse case scenario. He gritted his teeth, but accepted nonetheless. "Good." Duke Betwoc smiled casually. "I'm glad you see things my way. Now go home."

"Oh, and recruit as many as possible." He added just as the duo left the door. Though they highly doubted anyone would accept this offer.

~ Chapter 8, recruiting the villagers - part 1 ~

The journey back of Lumbridge was a short but harsh one for Charles and Dervish. They ran into the creatures which Lucia had warned them about. Lucia was with them, but found the journey to be a thorn of annoyance. Rather than a river of suffering.

She killed the bears and giant rats with ease. Ripping the guts from thier bodies, she claimed them as trophies. Too casual for a noble women. still I suppose Dervish would like her that way. Charles thought, turning to Dervish. Who was watching Lucia slay the beasts. A look of admiration in his eye.

Didn't take him long to fall for someone. Charles laughed at this thought. Breaking Dervish's attention. Daydreaming about her I see. Charles snikered and continued, as Lucia finished her work.

Dervish clapped his hands. Applauding Lucia's victory. "Good fight." Dervish smiled, "You are skilled with the sword for a noble women. I'm impressed." Charles laughed again. "What?"

"You didn't always think of those of noble standard that way did you?" Dervish looked at Charles, his eyes begging him to stop talking. "Lucia, you should take that comment very well. The things he used to say of noble women and men." Chalres shaked his head with joy.

Dervish began to interrupt, but Lucia beat him to the punch. "Oh really?" Lucia said, a smile emerged over her face. She glanced at Dervish. "What did Dervish say about noble men and women?"

Dervish put his head in his hands at what Charles had to say next. "Well, Lucia. He called all noblemen and women 'pompous idiots!' Back in the days he was a tramp." Lucia's smile vanished and she turned on Dervish.

"You used to think of my clan and me like that?" She said, appalled at what she just heard. "We really were thought of by people like that." She let off a cry of disgust and wlaked to Lumbridge quickly.

"No, not you!" Dervish shouted at her. He grimaced, then faced Charles. "I'll deal with you later." At that he turned at ran off towards her.

"I'm so scared." Charles said. He grinned like a child and laughed. He continued warning. Not paying any attention to Dervish's threat.

The argument never ceased until Dervish and Lucia arrived at Lumbridge. "Oh I'm sorry Dervish!" Lucia said in a mocking way. Not caring about what others around her might now think of her. " I'm just a pompous idiot. I'm too stupid too understand what you're saying!"

Dervish sighs and gives up. "Oi! Midna; could you gather the others around the general store. I have an important announcement to make to them. Something that they won't like. But Thay'll have to grin and bear it."

Midna nodded, then paused before leaving. "Um... May I know of what this announcement is first?" Dervish shook his head. "Oh, may i at least know why she's still with you?"

"All in good time Midna. Everything will become clear when I explain." Midna still held a look of curiousity on her face. "Now go." Dervish commanded. Midna reluctantly left, walking towards the church where Wildheart was speaking to Geoffrey.

Someone called behind them. Charles turned around to spot Petra and Darunia crossing the river. "Hello, word was sent from the Duke. We were told to come here. I suppose you got the same message?" Petra cocked an eyebrow questioningly at Lucia.

"Yes, but for another purpose." Lucia smiled again. "I was told to escort these two here. Apparently here is where i'd get my next mission. That's all i was told."

"Well it seems neither of us knows what this 'mission' is. We were never told why we were sent here either." Darunia explained. "Why, I was preparing my warriors like I was told to by he King. Then I recieved word from him to come here.

"The same here, the Duke must have changed his mind. But i suppose you two know of this mission?" Petra asked Dervish and Charles. " Otherwise, I see no reason why they are so important. ermm... no offence of course."

"Do not worry, we do not take offence to such things." Charles assured them. "But i wil explain the mission to you as soon as my fellow villagers are assembled."

Midna arrived at that time. "They are waiting for you in the Store, Dervish." She left without another word, running towards the general store. Where Geoffrey stood waiting outside.

"Well then." Dervish turned to the others. "Let us begin recruiting then." He followed Midna at the shop. Beckoning the others to join him.

After entering the general store. Dervish made an examination of the room. Checking if all were here. "Ok, I'll get to the point. i am here talking to you about Gawain. The man whom attacked our village and left the village devastated at the loss of Oscar."

"He has risen against varrock and has taken control over half of it. There he has positioned his followers, told to kill any who show resistance in any way." Dervish slammed the table with his fist. Shocking those around him.

"I'm sorry my husband has been a bother to you and this village." Petra said quickly. Trying to prevent hatred of Gawain forming in thier minds. "He has been plagued by many problems of recent years. This has driven him to madness. I -"

"Don't worry Petra, we do not despise him. However, action must be taken." Petra looked up, horrified at what she just heard. "I'm here to recruit volunteers to fight against him. He must be stopped." Dervish looked around, willing for volunteers.

"You do not have to fight. But it would be appreciated by varrock if you did so." Charles assured them.

Wildheart stood up. Then imitated a pirate by saying "Aye!"

"Yes" Midna said. Holding up her bow and quiver. Which was filled with arrows.

"Count me in!" Lucia said behind then. A smile on her face.

Petra and Darunia looked at each other and said simultaneously "I'll go."

Dervish smiled. "It appears we have a chance of winning after all. Lets not waste it. Geoffrey! Take some herbs to Bastian in Varrock, we need potions and fast!" Geoffrey nodded, and began to leave before Dervish stopped him. "Oh and Geoffrey, don't take as long this time. Ok?"

"Ok."

"Good, now everyone else, let's go to Edgeville to meet with Gawain!" Dervish cried out.

Charles looked on. Petrified at what he just heard. Edgeville? The land of the dead? We are going there?"

~ Chapter 9, Family warfare - part 1 ~

The goblin forests were quiet on thier journey. They allowed the group to pass safely. Without any problems. One or two prepared weapons, but none erupted from the sea of trees to attack.

They were either scared of thier sheer numbers. Scared of thier skill, of scared of thier destiny. Either way, this fear prevented and casualties early on. Even the bears and giant rats left them alone.

"Dervish, we are heading to Edgeville right?" Charles asked curiously. With a tint of fear in his tone.

"Yes." Dervish replied calmly. "I protested against it, but it is there where the gods fought previously. I suppose he believes he will absorb Zamoraks soul uickly there. With the essence of his power lying around.

"Really? I wouldn't have thought that." Lucia said behind them. "I thought he was an utterly insane man. Craving destruction. Making Edgeville, the city of the dead, an expected choice. But it seems that he knows of legends and history more than we do. We're at a disadvantage."

Dervish laughed. Darunia cut of his laughter however. "We were at a disadvantage from the start. The ruins will force us to split up to move around in a mobile way." He explained. "He can ambush us while we're split up. Without some or most of our attack power. We would have been in a better situation with a smaller, more experienced group. No offence to You, Midna and Wildheart of course."

"Not at all, Darunia." Wildheart assured him. "We expected comments like that. We are simple village folk. We're not strong. Dervish is the only one with strength. But he doesn't come from Lumbridge."

"All we had to deal with back home was goblins. We were in quite a pickle one time." Midna continued for Wildheart. "Plague season struck again. They almost always bother us then. bUt that's all over now."

"Focus now everyone, we're entering the southern side of the town. this part is under Zamorakian control. I can assure you, however. I've ordered my fellow silver knights to take up arms with them. Hopefully, they are all too busy fighting to notice us." Luica exclaimed.

"Clear the way!" A shout erupted from in front of the group. "Zamorak mages have escaped us. Watch out!"

The mages ran out, staff at the ready. Aiming at the group. Ready to kill all of them. Without hesitation. "Oh no you don't Silvak Lightag!" A man came up behing them and a bolt of lightning erupted from the sky. Hitting the leading mage directly.

The lighting, however, was silver and did not end until the man lowered his staff. Charles, Dervish and Lucia recognised him as "Talo!" they said in union. The man raised a hand, but prepared to battle with the last mage.

"Silvak Infernag!" Talo roared. Immeadiately, flames burst out of his silver staff. Setting the mage on fire. Screaming as the silver flames engulfed his body. Which slowly melted under the heat.

"Ah... Silver knight magic. Works like a charm." Talo grinned and greeted the group. Who replied, except for Dervish, who was examining the staff He held in his hand.

It's top was a silver orb. Surrounded by a golden dragon head. Whcih was connected to a large wooden pole. It appeared to be made from Yew. The orb floated in the centre of the dragons jaws. Held up by nothing. He would have examined it more. But Talo continued to speak.

"Hello miss melee." Talo spoke casually to Lucia. To the point of even insulting her. " i thought you would be still killing all the beast in the forest. After all you do have the slowest weapon of them all." Lucia tried to make a comeback but Talo continued. Showing no affection towards her feelings.

"I can image you speaking to a mirror." Talo joked. " Mirror, mirror, on the wall. Who's the slowest of them all?" He laughed. "The mirror will reply It is you whom is the slowest throughout the lands." he laughed again.

"Sorry sis." He apologised. Soon after Lucia's face was red with embaressment. "I haven't seen you in ages. I needed to say things like that. That's what I'm here for." Lucia sighed, but looked up at the next voice who spoke.

"Hello Mum." It was Rita. " I've missed you."

Rita was more beautiful than her mother. She had long brown hair. Which seemed to shine the sunlight from above. She had kind blue eyes and had a gentle smile. I bet Dervish likes her already. Who knew that his personal life would be this fun? I haven't had this much enjoyment for years. Charles laughed. But Dervish shut him up quickly. Reading his mind.

She used a bow, with silver arrows, much like her mother's. Except she seemed much more skilled with it than Lucia did. "Mum, We need you as reinforcements. the Zamorak warriors have overwhelmed us."

"Really?" Lucia replied. "They are that strong?" She looked at Talo, who was searching the bodies for anything of interest.

He looked up and nodded. "Many of our people have died. the white knights of Falador have been attacked by Barbarians. So no reinforcements are going to come. It's a lost cause. We need you."

"Oh, well. I'd have to ask Dervish first. He's in charge of the group.

"It's fine with us." Charles gawped at him. amazed at what he just said. "We have plenty of attack strength here at the moment. We'll be fine without you."

No we won't. Charles disagreed. Not daring to speak aloud. all we have in the way of skill is Petra and Darunia. We're not meant for combat, half of our strength lied with lucia. But without her... Charles gulped. Lucia walked away. Leaving the group.

The rest of the walk to Edgevile was fine. No problems whatsoever now that Lucia was in combat with the warriors. As they approached the ruins. Dervish halted them, turned and made a speech.

"Alright, there's our destination." Dervish points at The ruins ahead. "If any of you want to leave now. You may. We will not think any less of you. After all, this is Edgeville." He looked around. No one left. "Very well, let us fight this day! Let's make Gawain suffer!"

The group marched on. They entered the ruins. Keeping guard of the wrecked buildings which surrounded them, examining the details of the carnage. Making sure Gawain was not watching them in the shadows. "Welcome to my Domain... friends." Laughter broke the following silence of the greeting.

It was Gawain.

Nice story! =D> It's very suspensful and I can't wait to find out what happens! A couple minor things are that the sentances are rather choppy, and there is the occasional spelling mistake, but it's still great. Keep up the good work, and keep on writing!
