A knife, a mace and a bow - 3D images (New one again)

Featured Replies

Very nice, I wish I could say more but I'm not very knowledgeable about 3D rendering... but I must say the textures look great, and I love the shape of that knife. Unique yet not overdone as many people seem to do with anything that invovles knives...

I'm not going to bother comparing to Entangles as I don't even like 3D that much unless done very realistically, and yours are more realistic than his. He had a smoother, slightly more... umm 'cartoony' style, without the proper textures in some cases. Plus his were RS based.. and I never saw him go beyond that. I don't see the connection really in yours other than they all can be found in RS.. at least they aren't blue or red :P.

Cartoony? Uh ok. I think I've only posted one non-rs thing here, and that was when I first joined. Weapons to me are pretty much nothing, as I've made bigger and better things that are use of my time. You shouldn't really compare me and this guy, because even though it's 3d, we still have different styles and methods.

Dam me but your designs are good....

I like the pitted surface on the mace and chain, gives it a 'crude' or rough feel, something you'd expect from a weapon which is intended for brutal crushing blows.... I also like the added touch of a leather handgrip, it makes it look more like a real functional weapon...

However I do want to niggle at the way the bow looks rather clunky.... they're meant to be bent out of wood, not carved otherwise they dont have any spring in them and it does have a rather carved/ornamental look about it.... The arrow looks nice apart from the wood-like feather whatsits, wooden flights on a longbow would slice your hand open in real life as you fire the arrow, feathers look more functional and 'real'.

The metalic reflections on the knife look great but theres little black bits at the points of the knife which look out of place and the leather bindings look too 'flat' to be bound round it, the edges of it where it touches the metal are very straight....

Hope to see more :)

Car seats... Why?

Why not? :P

I planned to the whole interior, and maybe a car around it,

but the idea got stuck on the planning stage. (What a great idea to start a car from inside).

Car seats.....?

I swear that pictures out of a manufacturer's website.... looks disgustingly real
