A knife, a mace and a bow - 3D images (New one again)

Featured Replies

Some of you might remember me, I ran a 3D sig shop with GreatSilverWyrm.

I've had quite long break from 3D and from tip.it aswell, but now I'm back and I think that my skills have improved a little,

atleast on rendering.

We might re-open the sig shop, still waiting for Wyrm's final approval.

Anyways, here's some images for you to see.

If you started a shop, I would likely buy a sig.

Wow how much would it cost for that bow to be my avatar? :P

finally some more 3D work, i love 3D and vector, go shop i say! :D

there ok i suppose make a shop sell 1gp each and the textures need to be better eg fur for the mace head

very realistic, nice job

my only criticism is that the knife doesn't really look sharp and the bow and arrow are a little thick i think

They.. they.. they are AMAZING

knife looks weird, the edges on the item itself is kinda messed up..

mace the ball+[bleep]e part looks like it's floating, not laying on the ground

and the bow and arrow is superb.

=}

That knife looks insanely real. I wish I knew how to do that stuff...I never had anyone to teach me. :( It sucks having an artists mind, with nowhere to apply it. :P

That appears to be done in either Bryce or Maya. Could you fill me in on which you did it in, because i have Maya. Great texturing and modeling. The texture on the blade of the knife is exceptional because it isn't 'clean' metal. It looks worn and dirty and its great. Do you make your won textures and map them yourself in Photoshop?

Thanks for the comments everyone. :-)

You mean the black things? They're probably caused by the post processing. Don't know..

I had to check it, and yes, it really was floating, actually pretty high from the ground.

Jabraulter, I use 3ds Max. I think that I should put that in the first post. Or likely the same thing that happened to Entangle will be renewed. :?

The knife a has slightly bump mapped material with glossy reflections.

They look really good and realistic, but um, the arrow, shouldn't there be feathers at the top and not wooden triangles like yours have?

it's good...

the figures rock but the backgrounds really take away from the effect

my favorite is the knife

They are nice, but I prefer Entangles.

I agree i do prefer entangles but they are very good the kinfe is my personal fav!!!

Make some more and see if you have improved!!

ASOME sigs

u sould really opean a shop

Amazing work. I agree you could improve. Someone pointed out that the knife wasn't sharp, and that the mace was floating. I agree with both of those.

Still, I think these are amazing. I love 3d work. If I were you, I would keep practicing. Oh, and watch for a thread to pop up from me sometime in the future. After I get 99 fletch (95/99) then I'm going to be paying a lot for a nice sig/avatar, and I want them to be 3d.

Overall, very nice work. Amazing textures. You should post some more examples of your work.

Here's a quickie, which turned out pretty cool.

Don't ask me what those things are - just experimenting.

Btw, as you might see, I'm using it as my avatar. :P

Very nice, I wish I could say more but I'm not very knowledgeable about 3D rendering... but I must say the textures look great, and I love the shape of that knife. Unique yet not overdone as many people seem to do with anything that invovles knives...

I'm not going to bother comparing to Entangles as I don't even like 3D that much unless done very realistically, and yours are more realistic than his. He had a smoother, slightly more... umm 'cartoony' style, without the proper textures in some cases. Plus his were RS based.. and I never saw him go beyond that. I don't see the connection really in yours other than they all can be found in RS.. at least they aren't blue or red :P.

Wow, those are amazing. I love the textures.

Great job, looking forward to seeing more

Which Program did u render these in?

I've used ome of G max, but thats only free beginner's stuff, but its fun to animate teacups, lol
