== iPod Vs. Zune ==

Okay, I've already searched and nothing came up when I searched for iPod and Zune, so don't blame me if there is already a thread like this. And please don't flame me for being on the Zune's side, thank you.

 

 

 

(Most) Everybody knows about the Zune. And, duh, everyone knows the iPod. But which is better? There are a lot of things to think about. I was divided at first, but now I'm on the Zune's side. I have nothing against those who aren't. Anyway, here are a few points to think about:

 

 

 

Zune:

 

 

 

1. Has a big screen, 3 inches.

 

2. Has an FM radio.

 

3. Has a function that you can send your music (legally) wirelessly to another Zune.

 

4. Microsoft game studios is making games for it, like an Xbox 360 portable or something.

 

5. It doesn't have a clickwheel.

 

6. It can't have more (or less) than 30 GB of memory.

 

7. Oh yeah, and they're making about 5 different colors of it, if you include special editions.

 

 

 

iPod:

 

 

 

1. Has a clickwheel

 

2. Has up to 80 GB of memory.

 

3.I'm sure it is more tested for bugs than the Zune.

 

4. It revolutionized MP3 players.

 

5. Doesn't have such a big screen.

 

6. The games for it (in my opinion) suck.

 

7. Has an organizer, dunno, maybe the Zune has one too.

 

 

 

Anyway, hope this tread makes it to more than 1 page. I know there's a lot of people that have very strong opinions on this... Let's not start a flemewar.

the Ipod wins. The biggest thing the Ipod has going for it is that it's music store is MUCH MUCH better then anything out there, and those songs can only be played on an ipod. The screen size of an Ipod is 2.5 inches, but the resolution is the same as the zune.

You can't just base it off of sales when the iPod had been around for so much longer. Even if they were still out for the same amount of time, sale numbers shouldn't be your major factor.

 

 

 

The iPod does have the click wheel, which is nice, but other things can work almost as well. The Zune may be only 30gb now, but i bet that they will make bigger models. The iPod changed their sizes, along with almost every other mp3/mp4 player on the market, so don't expect it to stay 30gb for too long. The iPod's store is nice, but there is also this thing called a cd store. You can also download all the same music from the iPod's music store, just from more than one source.

 

 

 

It really depends on what you prefer, and just remember that because something doesn't have the technology now, it will later.

Oh yeah, and I forgot to say, the Zune is cheaper.

theres a mod to upgrade a zune to 80gbs if you wanted one that has a bigger harddrive.

Zune, so many buy the ipod without checking other mp3 players..........

i have an ipod, and trust me I looked at pretty much every other mp3 player out there. Nothing comes close the the simple good software and easy controls and organization of an ipod. I bought mine to listen to music nothing more, ipod is very good at that.

 

 

 

Granted zune has the wifi thing going, and I think its great. I hope Zune succeeds because right now Ipod needs a nice kick to update their features as well.

Right now its the iPod. Like vlad said I got mine to play music and it does that very well.

I use a iPod because I know it works great on my Mac.

 

Also, iPod has a Fm radio attachment, and at least 8 different colors.
